Some people choose to live in a vehicle because they choose not to have the responsibilities of a home. Some people choose not to have a car becuase they do not want the reposnsibilities that come with that. Reposnsibilities are assigned by whom, you? society? people can choose their own path and to not participate in your culture of responsibility.
Watching this is so sad because back in the day everyone lived like this hand and hand with nature until we as society were so focused on advancing we became blind to what we were giving up and we lost our relationship with nature
Isabel, this is my favorite so far. Thank you for taking me back through my own memories of my earlier times in the 60's and early 70's being the very free spirit i was at the same age. I grew up in Marin County and began exploring the entire Pacific Northwest and the Southern deserts extensively going back and forth for many years. A great deal of the time i was alone but never lonely. Once i walked from Palm Springs to Indio through the mountains while fasting for 6 days, barely sleeping at all. I floated among the stars at night listening to the whisper of the earth.
I love how you are connected to the nature and your not afraid to go into the mountains.. As a woman grown up in a society where women should not step out in the night alone. Feels so liberating to see you. Lots of love ❤

Love that I ran across your site. I agree with you. Getting into the mountains is the only thing that truly brings me happiness and relief of stress in today's world. I do many back country trips into the Rockies both in summer time and snowshoeing in the winter. So peaceful and time to reflect on my life and do some writing. I too have built a tiny house and will relocate to a small mountain town in Colorado next spring. Here I can focus on my mental well being in today's uncertain times. I feel so free when I'm skiing, snowshoeing or climbing 14ers and hiking deep into the back country. I now can follow your journey as well. So simple, yet so powerful to our self mental and physical wellbeing. Continue those experiences of peace and enjoy life to its fullest

I watched your video again, I figured out your hiking in the Cascades, which made me think of NoEyes, she was a native shaman who became friends with Mary Summer Rain, also native. Mary wrote many books about No Eyes, No Eyes had many visions of the future world, which is today. Many of the phrophesies never came to pass as mankind became more enlightened. You are part of the moutains, Mother Earth (Gaia) and No Eyes was like the same way. You have a calling to the mountains, Mother Earth. What you talk about is from your heart, that pleases me. Some of the books talk about No Eyes ways of being, her closeness to mother earth.
Thanks for the content~ I noticed when I transitioned from city life to mountain life that the city has alot of Spirit (it reminds me of a caffeine addiction), but the mountains have ALOT of Soul! I think you show that in these videos, which is good for younger people to see who are inclined to live in nature.
Life lessons I've learned along the way. There are only so many things we can accomplish within the hours of a day. I used to stress myself out because of things that needed to be done, and still needed to be done, and so on...but in the end you can only do what you can do and be content on what you accomplish and no dwell on the things that didn't get done, otherwise your mind will never be at rest. I hope the smoke in the air is not too bad where you are at...here in the Yakima Valley it is apocalyptic. lol

We all have that urge to abandon this urban life and go and stay in such a place where you are. But we are not able to due to some or the other reason. But seeing you with nature I understand how strong was your urge and desire to leave everything behind and make possible this life which u desired to.

It’s stupid drinking that water like she does haha but whatever, it’s really only likely to give her the runs which is more of an issue for dehydration than anything else.
Beautiful footage! I can’t imagine how many times you had to set up the tripod then go back for it, it would double the time it takes to do any hike and I don’t know how you have the patience for it.

I long to go back to the mountains, Colorado is a half days journey from here. Washington, I lived there 17 years and truly loved the wilderness and spent some of my most happiest days alone, and so some day shall return
She can’t. She is probably too busy taken footage of herself from so many different angles to see the bear coming, or anything approaching. Sorry to put it this way, but she has just been lucky.
@@almamater7860 I recognize where she is at, and she lives in my state. It is incredibly unlikely that she’ll run across much less he attacked by a bear or cougar. Of course it’s possible but its unlikely. She’d be more likely to be attacked by dogs off leash on trails, or get attacked by hornets, poison ivy, etc.
The perspective you described at the end is so true...we just make our problems in our head and actually that seems to be pretty insignificant and we never see it that way, our mind is so occupied and we don't focus on ourselves, we don't connect to ourselves. Being alone in nature is a good thing, however, it's not a safe thing to be doing while hiking in the wilderness like this.. Especially if you don't carry the right supplies and first aid kit with you. They'll be doing a helicopter hoist rescue on you if you aren't careful. And, hiking in sandals is a big no no as well. Not trying to sound mean, just don't want to see anything bad happen to you.. Take it from an old Oregonian who has hiked many miles in the wilderness including the Pacific Crest trail as well as hiking Mt Shasta in California.
@Priscilla Williams Oh you must be speaking of Nicole and the "stitches" drama. Slipping and cutting your knee...that can happen anywhere. She wasn't going to bleed to death. Clearly, they should have been prepared to sew it up themselves considering what they represent.. As it was, they just hopped in a boat and all was good. No air lift and no one was stranded. I'm more concerned about bears for Isabel or just running into a bad "human". This girl is no slouch. She rolled down a hill in her truck, narrowly escaping injury or death and never complained about even an ache. I doubt tripping and cutting her knee would cause her to even flinch! Lol and it certainly wouldn't become the focus of the video!
Always better to play it safe and to be prepared for a bush walk :) never know if get lost an not find way back especially if having not enough water with you 😮 loved your song thanks for sharing ;)
Isabel - Almost want to apologize for asking this after the fact, but been wondering about it for a while... Can you explain why the house wasn't built at its final location? One of my first worries when you began this was "wait a minute - they are going to move this in the mountains after it's built?" It will all work out - dont get stressed over the short term challenges. On another note - the world would be a much better place with millions of you around. But then, today's women and men would not recognize just how special you are. Thank you for sharing a sliver of you with us.

Mary wrote many books about No Eyes, No Eyes had many visions of the future world, which is today. Many of the phrophesies never came to pass as mankind became more enlightened. You are part of the moutains, Mother Earth (Gaia) and No Eyes was like the same way. You have a calling to the mountains, Mother Earth. What you talk about is from your heart, that pleases me. Some of the books talk about No Eyes ways of being, her closeness to mother earth.
Thanks for the content~ I noticed when I transitioned from city life to mountain life that the city has alot of Spirit (it reminds me of a caffeine addiction), but the mountains have ALOT of Soul! I think you show that in these videos, which is good for younger people to see who are inclined to live in nature.

Life lessons I've learned along the way. There are only so many things we can accomplish within the hours of a day. I used to stress myself out because of things that needed to be done, and still needed to be done, and so on...but in the end you can only do what you can do and be content on what you accomplish and no dwell on the things that didn't get done, otherwise your mind will never be at rest. I hope the smoke in the air is not too bad where you are at...here in the Yakima Valley it is apocalyptic. lol
OMG, I just love your spirit so much. Great job with the song and dances.... Yes, we make life stresses on ourselves too much at times. Just remember these moments. The mountains are the places for my soul to be free and to release the toxins of society....

We all have that urge to abandon this urban life and go and stay in such a place where you are. But we are not able to due to some or the other reason. But seeing you with nature I understand how strong was your urge and desire to leave everything behind and make possible this life which u desired to.
Reasons we dont understand....sounds so true....sometimes It feels we are given a path to follow and we love seeing other peoples paths and wishing it was us all along. She probably misses or maybe sees some girls having huge parties, or being an engeener and building a super fantastic car and wishes she was them...like at the same time we wish we could be like her😆 strange amazing life it is...

@@regoczixm even if the water is flowing, water in the river can have bacteria and debris in it that can make you sick. I’m sure if this is in the mountains, it’s a little bit safer because it might be connected to a spring

@@isnorathenerd4408 she’s drinking from a river haha not a spring, she’s in wa state on the west side of the mountains. It’s highly unlikely she’s at a mouth of a freshwater spring. It’s stupid drinking that water like she does haha but whatever, it’s really only likely to give her the runs which is more of an issue for dehydration than anything else.

Beautiful footage! I can’t imagine how many times you had to set up the tripod then go back for it, it would double the time it takes to do any hike and I don’t know how you have the patience for it.

I long to go back to the mountains, Colorado is a half days journey from here. Washington, I lived there 17 years and truly loved the wilderness and spent some of my most happiest days alone, and so some day shall return

She can’t. She is probably too busy taken footage of herself from so many different angles to see the bear coming, or anything approaching. Sorry to put it this way, but she has just been lucky.
@@almamater7860 I recognize where she is at, and she lives in my state. It is incredibly unlikely that she’ll run across much less he attacked by a bear or cougar. Of course it’s possible but its unlikely. She’d be more likely to be attacked by dogs off leash on trails, or get attacked by hornets, poison ivy, etc.
The perspective you described at the end is so true...we just make our problems in our head and actually that seems to be pretty insignificant and we never see it that way, our mind is so occupied and we don't focus on ourselves, we don't connect to ourselves. Tired of being in fear and cultural boredoms, I just want this me time. Thank you for sharing. Love your videos! ❤️
Being alone in nature is a good thing, however, it's not a safe thing to be doing while hiking in the wilderness like this.. Especially if you don't carry the right supplies and first aid kit with you. They'll be doing a helicopter hoist rescue on you if you aren't careful. And, hiking in sandals is a big no no as well. Not trying to sound mean, just don't want to see anything bad happen to you.. Take it from an old Oregonian who has hiked many miles in the wilderness including the Pacific Crest trail as well as hiking Mt Shasta in California.

@Priscilla Williams Oh you must be speaking of Nicole and the "stitches" drama. Slipping and cutting your knee...that can happen anywhere. She wasn't going to bleed to death. Clearly, they should have been prepared to sew it up themselves considering what they represent.. As it was, they just hopped in a boat and all was good. No air lift and no one was stranded. I'm more concerned about bears for Isabel or just running into a bad "human". This girl is no slouch. She rolled down a hill in her truck, narrowly escaping injury or death and never complained about even an ache. I doubt tripping and cutting her knee would cause her to even flinch! Lol and it certainly wouldn't become the focus of the video!

Isabel - Almost want to apologize for asking this after the fact, but been wondering about it for a while... Can you explain why the house wasn't built at its final location? One of my first worries when you began this was "wait a minute - they are going to move this in the mountains after it's built?" It will all work out - dont get stressed over the short term challenges. On another note - the world would be a much better place with millions of you around. But then, today's women and men would not recognize just how special you are. Thank you for sharing a sliver of you with us.
