- Here is the loader I built for my Case International 235 compact diesel tractor. I designed and built this several years ago. The loader has served me well over the years with no issues. Built entirely using hand tools, a metal cutting bandsaw, antique stick welder and a 4 1/2 inch grinder!
I used CorelDRAW to design the loader attachment.
Enjoy!
impressive!
Good job on the loader and good job on the video as well.Smart and professional.
I have one of these in Australia.. Its 4WD and I have built a self level loader for mine. Just fitting a backhoe to it today!! Have bought the small AGCO backhoe suited to the MF GC series.
+Scott Dallow Like minds, I guess. The following winter after the loader was done, I built a backhoe for this tractor also. I would like to see a pic of your tractor all decked out with the loader and backhoe!
Regards...
What a great build! What did this project cost you? Im sure it was a ton of man hours. I have a 1988 235 myself and i love it!
Too many years ago to remember what it cost, but I do remember it took all winter to complete. Loader has been great...used it over the past few days to move firewood. Thanks for watching!
I have the exact same tractor and would like to build a loader also. You did an awesome job, happen to have any plans laying around?
What is the stroke on each hydraulic tube?
14-inches for the lift arms and 16-inches for the bucket. Thanks for watching!
Great Project. I've been looking at a used 235 in excellent shape, but a loader has been the problem. I think I'll give it a go. A few more questions. Did you harden the tubing used in the pivot points or the 1" used for the hydraulics?
A couple thoughts before you proceed. First, the 235 does not have power steering; I wish it did! More important, you'll need to see if you can locate the hydraulic adapter plate that allows you to tie into the tractor's hydraulic system. When I purchased mine, there were just three (3) remaining anywhere in the US!
No hardened pins, but each pivot has a grease fitting.
You will need to have a tremendous amount of counterweight for the tractor. I have about 400 pounds hanging off the 3-point hitch. Without it, the tractor is helpless.
Oh...one more thought...check the rear tires. If they are original and they have any cracks, I suggest you pass. They do not make that size tire anymore! I went through a lot of pain and suffering trying to get new tires for mine last year!
Good luck!
hi, great work and thanks for sharing. I have the Mitsubishi branded version mt180hd. I'm interested in the backhoe setup u made, especially the mounting. any pics? any chance you would share the Corel draw file? thanks- aj
Kntryhart hi, thx for the response and being willing to share. at my own risk for sure agjones@agjones.com
Great job, you have a talent for design.
You sir are awesome. I have the same tractor, and love it. Only thing I miss is a loader, good for you. Very professionally built.
+jrcasse Thanks. I love the tractor. As far as the loader is concerned, I can't begin to tell you how much work it has done for me. Oh, yeah...I built a backhoe for the tractor also! Works as well as the loader! Just wish the tractor had power steering. Thanks for watching!
I liked your build ty for sharing
