I’ve only ran into one situation where I needed those. Took an axel off a UTV and it had those snap rings. I’d never seen them before, but was able to use regular snap ring pliers to get them off. I saw these pliers later and realized that’s what they’re for 😂
I had a guy last night commenting on a different channel that Gearwrench and SnapOn and everything else is all made at a factory in China 🤦♂️ Some people just blow my mind with the crap they think they know. Awesome set of USA made pliers 👍👍

Those retaining ring pliers have always been interesting to me. It seems like everybody rebrands them. I’ve seen virtually the same pair branded Snap On, Williams, Mac, Matco, SK, Proto, Wilde. My guess was that Wilde was the OEM seeing as they tend to be the OEM rather than a rebrander for most of their products.
Nice clean pliers..I got a few from Snap on years back ,definitely handy for situations.. Very sweet hat..not a hat guy but more of a collecter it seems..Merry Christmas Buddy , make sure Henry gets a special treat..
Cp you should test the "NES thread mate" its 30 bucks for a tool that repairs m4 to m14 threads without needing to find the size of a tap and die you just grab it and go, very quick and useful its amazing for the price you will be very surprised

Great to give tools to the kiddos. My niece is 9 and asked me for a leatherman and pocket watch for Christmas. And of course I couldn’t say no.

CP the pliers look a lot like the Lang 1406 set. You are on the right track saying they are Lang.
