Outside of her being a phenomenal actor, she's also a genuinely good person and she does a lot of great things outside of acting. In my opinion, she's become THE figurehead that us latin folk rally around and for good reason. This has been said many times but I hope she's runs for office one day.
American you may be younger than me but are such a beautiful inspiration to me. Ever since I saw you in “Real Women Have Curves”, I always knew you were going far in this world. Thank you for all your hard work. ❤😊
I wanna meet America one day and tell her how amazing I think she is, and how she has done so much incredible work and roles, but that Astrid from HTTYD will always hold the most special place in my heart
I hope to some day meet America, shake her hand and tell her thank you for the social impact she has in the world. She’s incredible and I find so much comfort in her.
Wow - who would have thought. I loved the programme Ugly Betty. I did not recognise her in the Barbie movie at all. Definitely the kind of role model kids should aspire too.
Despite being subscribed it is so strange that your show never pops up in my Youtub feed on its' own; I always have to search youtube. When I do it doesn't show me last night's show, it shows years old clips that I have to wade throught to find what you did last night. De prioritizing algorithm working hard to keep you off peoples screens ?
It usually prioritizes what you watch the quickest and stay the longest after. When you subscribe, it shows you the first few, but if you don't click on the in the first times the pop up it might not show them anymore. You could try unsubscribing and subscribing again , watchingg a few and making sure you watch them as soon as the pop on your feed at least for the first few days.
I feel like Sisyphus but I want to tell you that your constant normalization of drinking is paving the way to so much domestic abuse!!! And love your wit!
Hmm, yes I agree that it can be hard to see Stephen drink on tv and talk about drinking when people who drink often turn violent. But he is an example of how people can drink responsibly, for fun, and to relax without becoming unhealthily dependent on it … so I do see him as a good role model for that. But I do hear you and appreciate your comment so much… (and for the most part believe tv personalities shouldn’t talk about drinking very much!) Best.
Used to like her, but that Barbie monologue was such self-pitying 'the patriarchy oppresses us so horribly' toxic swill from someone who hasn't made less than a million a week in decades, it was ridiculous. As if all men lived in penthouses obsessed with women's looks all day lol. See non-coastal reality again sometime, Ferrera.
nothing about the speech was "self-pitying", it's reality for so many women. As a man you could never understand the pressure about being a woman, so you respectfully don't have any right to talk about it or dismiss it. A woman is still a woman whether she 's a million dollar celebrity or working in a factory, or living in a war zone. The pressure and expectations of people around her, she'll always have to deal with it
@@soireseCome be a caregiver to my disabled mother for near twenty years taking sh-t from morons in a small town and tell me how difficult your life is, hon. You have it easy street by comparison lol
@@soireseGet Back to me after caregiving your disabled mother for twenty years to barely any thanks. As if hard lives were relegated to one gender. Barbie truly a cartoon view of feminism 😊
So eloquent, and articule, and honest, and vulnerable, and strong, and brave, and brilliant - America is SO REAL!
She is an impressive human being.
She's very articule...article...articulate. ;-)
yes I might've been too excited and missed the autocorrect doing it's mean thing@@123benny4
could not have said that better. I love her so much!
America is so sweet. Her speech in Barbie is more than just iconic. It's what the world needed to hear, and truly take in.
This woman is a treasure. She was the emotional heart of Barbie. I hope we get to see her in more stuff from now on.
Outside of her being a phenomenal actor, she's also a genuinely good person and she does a lot of great things outside of acting. In my opinion, she's become THE figurehead that us latin folk rally around and for good reason. This has been said many times but I hope she's runs for office one day.
The Sisterhood was so important to me growing up ❤ They brought the characters alive and made so many girls more comfortable with themselves.
That monologue was all the things I've been thinking since i was 25. She (they- writers and directors included) nailed my existential crisis
So much to admire in Ms. Ferrera. And her Barbie monologue…so impassioned and true!🔥
The Sisterhood movies were some of my favorites growing up and I've always looked up to all four of these wonderful women
What a beautiful person. And she looks so real. I couldn't take my eyes off her.
What a great interview she gave. A warm and intelligent person!
God Bless America! She's had so many fantastic roles, this was an amazing point in that list that I hope is neither the last or best we'll see of her.
She is too cute. What a warm and genuine person.
Beautiful! The Interview was on point! She is humble as well as talented!❤
She's such a Gem. ❤
I love America Ferrera since UGLY BETTY. I'm glad she can be nominated for Oscars for first time ever.
2:20 Total dad joke and I loved it 😂

Ugly Betty to Barbie. 😊 she is a very successful actor and remains very real.
Knew she was special in Real Women Have Curves 🙌
I adore, America. What a gorgeous human being 🫶
Loved her in Superstore 😊
American you may be younger than me but are such a beautiful inspiration to me. Ever since I saw you in “Real Women Have Curves”, I always knew you were going far in this world. Thank you for all your hard work. ❤😊
Simplismente apaixonada por tudo da America, o timbre da voz dela é tão magnífico ❤
Not to dismiss Barbie since I haven't watched it but I loved The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants so much.
A humbling and eye opening interview!
Stephen not being able to say Alexis Bledel’s name despite looking closely to his card the whole time is kind of funny to me. No shade
I wanna meet America one day and tell her how amazing I think she is, and how she has done so much incredible work and roles, but that Astrid from HTTYD will always hold the most special place in my heart
It's just bizarre that this woman could be the 'ugly one' in a movie. It shows how bizarre Hollywood is.
Truly.
I hope to some day meet America, shake her hand and tell her thank you for the social impact she has in the world. She’s incredible and I find so much comfort in her.
America is so sweet!
I have trouble looking Jlo in the eye too, but...
... Well, I'll just let that one lay there.
I've been a fan of Ugly Betty and Superstore for so long and seeing her having her talent recognized makes me so so happy 🥹🩵
GORGEOUS
A great movie
Wow - who would have thought. I loved the programme Ugly Betty. I did not recognise her in the Barbie movie at all. Definitely the kind of role model kids should aspire too.
Reminds me a bit of Julia Ormond
She has a completely different look now
Amy Sosa!
What a pleasure listening to America Ferrera

Love love love her!
And actor who actually uses their voice to raise others up and shine a light on things that need to change.
