    This proves to me that Hyte, Phanteks, and Lian Li will continue to dominate pricing to aesthetics in the market. Legit surprised how many people are saying that 300-500$ would be reasonable for all this.

    I can see a market for blower-style GPUs and honestly quite like the idea even if they tend to be a lot noisier. Just make them a tad thicker than 1 or 2 slots, since most ITX cases can actually support thicker GPUs and can benefit from exhausting all of the hot air out of the case, instead of pre-heating the CPU air.

    I would love to see this case get reviewed when launched. It does look like it has a lot of bells and whistles. I think they could justify $500 for this considering I have bought cases from Corsair in the past that where very close to this price and lacked any sort of quality control and quality in general. Also they didn't look half as cool as this case does.

    Hell yeah to blower style cards. With the 4090 taking up four slots I'd say take all of the slots! Then turn the blowers to blow straight out of the back of the case. It could easily look like a huge tower cooler mounted to a back plate and three 120mm fans. Just blow all the heat generated by the GPU directly out of the back of the case.

    $500?! They really are out of their minds with their prices for everything - first the 40 series cards and now this case.
    I'm sorry, what??? They are actually considering asking even more for newer cards than they already do for their STRIX cards? They really are insane. The STRIX 4080 already costs as much as a freaking 4090 can be bought for!

    • @fVNzO
      @fVNzO ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's really nothing stopping them from simply creating a heatsink with mounting holes for standard 120mm fans instead of what we have now. It would be much cooler, quieter and look cooler too. IDK why a removable shroud with this functionality isn't a common option today. Deshrouding is not exactly a new concept.

    • @victorflores429
      @victorflores429 ปีที่แล้ว

      3D print the shroud with mounting point. And slap on the Fans in mind

    • @Yash1331
      @Yash1331 ปีที่แล้ว

      There could be challenges with designing proper heatsink like that across various SKUs to accommodate 120mm/140mm fans and the cooler is the only way brands differentiate themselves & SKUs visually. But nothing is really stopping you from replacing that cooler with a Morpheus GPU cooler on which you can add your own standard case fans.
      Also you can replace non-standard cooler fans very easily on stock coolers, you just have to find correct size silent replacement fans from AliExpress which is a bit of a gamble.

    • @fVNzO
      @fVNzO ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Yash1331 I think the heatsink design and PCB is what's actually separating AIB's they all use more or less the exact same fan setup. And i don't think there would be aby incompatibility issues. You just make it so standard 120s fit, theres not practical reason to make it for 140. A flat heatsink top with indents for fan clips is all you need. Something that's trivial to make. You can keep the rest of the card identical. The only reason why this does not exist must be the fear of investing in the idea.

    SFF graphics card thoughts. I want enough cooling that it's quiet and doesn't overheat. I am unwilling to spend money on LEDs, graphics, branding, media tie-ins. Just give me the processing power, stable drivers, and a good array of outputs.
    I run three 1080P monitors now, but would like one 4K and two 1440P on my next machine.
    I originally had a blower-type, single slot workstation GPU in my Silverstone SG13 shoebox case. A year ago, I managed to get an Asus Duo RX 6600 XT. I was able to wedge it in and get the cover back on. It ran okay, but I have been running without the cover for 10 months now and am very happy.

    Remember old cases that now cannot fit a full size gpu because the front end is a giant rail to fit many many 3.5 drives? Why not bring that back, but put the 3.5 drives in the back chamber. Think lian-li or corsair carbide 540 extra wide cases that have a front chamber and back chamber. I need HDD space. My pc is for work and okay. I have 4 HDDs and not a single case on the market can house them, because you are limited to TWO 3.5 slots or none at all....

    I payed only £359.99 for my ROG Hyperion I waited for a single day price drop and got it ordinarily at the time it would of cost me anywhere between £400-550 I am still stoked that I got t last year I was impressed with the features sadly i'm using an A520m-K prime which severely limits my usage of the front panel ports to just 2x of the USB 3.0 ports however I am waiting till AM5's second generation of LGA motherboards come out so like an x870 wifi gaming motherboard is probably what I plan to put in it and a ryzen 8000 series but I wanna make sure hardware and software is gonna be stable since early am5 had it's issues and I don't wanna spent that much money without being certain it's not gonna fail on me i'm also hoping the mb will have 2 usb-c sockets for the front port cable!
    All in all despite the impressive weight and size (get help don't lift it alone your back will suffer it's a 2 person job to lift it to a raised desk or get it out of the box safely for that matter)
    most impressive is the temps sticking your hand in when it's on feels like a cool refreshing breeze the front fans that come pre-installed are amazingly good though they are non rgb!
    The glass is tinted so rgb's aren't too bright another issue I found is due to my motherboard being smaller currently is that the cable doesn't reach and rather is incompatible to hook up the case rgb to motherboard unfortunately the board pins don't fit into the mini molex they give you for the case lights... so please make sure you got a higher end motherboard that supports the modern type or you wont be able to hook up your case lights to the armoury so currently I rarely use the rgb on the case as I prefer a darker more subtle dimmer maroon over full bright red with a few slightly brighter red sparkles here and there on my gpu it will be fun to see how that will look on the case lights once I get that new motherboard
    plus the fast charging usb-c and other stuff is gonna be fun to try out in the future, but whats the best feature of the ROG Hyperion?!: Well it's the future proofing I had intended to get a helios but since this was on offer and the helios was only £30 less I decided to spend the extra 30 and I am glad I did this is gonna fit future gen rog rtx series gpu's for sure sporting room for a 360cm length gpu capacity! lets hope they never get that size but in case they do I am most definately covered! the 20GB/s data speed on the USB-c ports means i'll be able to switch to high speed external ssd's or hdd's for fast gaming straight through the front panel!
    whats more the capacity means i can get an eatx motherboard and alternatively turn my gpu to vertical mounting if I buy the cable for it... so this case yes was expensive but it's durable has 4 dust filters covering the top front and bottom but it's aluminium die cast frame and size and future upgradeability makes it a rugged modular gaming pc with a future for at least the next 15-20 yrs I may not need to upgrade especially with gpu support lifespans on drivers getting longer so I don't see this case holding anything back anytime soon and since it's built like a nokia phone I don't feel like I need to be so delicate with it as my last case!
    also the temps are top notch with support for more fans and even liquid cooling room with easily removable caging to nail the fans into! I spent months going mad learning everything about this case it even got delayed by 2-3 weeks and could of been months had I not said anything, luckily it arrived after I enquired with amazon as it turned up the next day after I inquired about the delays... it's a monster it's approx. 26 inches tall 25 inches from front to back and over 200cm wide it's a tall lanky boy and I call it ROGZilla!

    As long as it can fit a 4090 and and have great airflow with dust filters.

    I was a little excited to see the Noctua and then subsequently bummed to see that it was the 4080. That’s really more on Nvidia for the disappointing nature of the 40-series, but with the 4090 being arguably the “best” (if you’ve got money to burn) card from the 40-series, I was hoping that it was one of those.

    • @tomppeli.
      @tomppeli. ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, most of the 40-series GPUs are fine with whatever coolers they come with. I would think this would make them, if not quieter, emit a lower-frequency humming noise.

    • @nathanlarson6535
      @nathanlarson6535 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah the noctua fans are completely overkill for the 4080. all for the affordable price of $1550+ lol they should’ve just made a 4090 version and nothing else

    • @shinaikouka
      @shinaikouka ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tomppeli. For me, it’s really about noise levels. I mostly lean toward water cooling with low fan speeds. When I was tweaking the speeds in the BIOS, I had to dial it up just a notch so I could actually hear the fans… or else, I’d be all, “Is the computer even on!?” 😅 Although, after my latest refresh/cleaning, I think my pump is a little noisier than I’d like, but I can only hear it from the window side.

    • @shinaikouka
      @shinaikouka ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nathanlarson6535 That is the one negative aspect of the Noctua-cooled cards. They’re great for thermals, but their cost is kinda high. I thought about getting the Noctua 3080 a couple months ago, but at $1000, I would’ve been closing in on other options that are faster but maybe a little noisier.

    • @nathanlarson6535
      @nathanlarson6535 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shinaikouka it’s just total overkill for a card that only pulls like 200-240W while gaming, and the founder’s edition and other relatively cheap AIB models already have good thermals and noise for a much lower price. nearly 4.5 slots for a GPU that doesn’t even run that hot, a noctua cooler would make much more sense with a 4090 imo. i don’t have the money to afford any 4080 anyways but if i was shopping for one i’d prefer the FE or whatever is the cheapest one available.

    Was their goal go sell 1 case per year with that ridiculous price tag?

  • @ancaadrian9474
    @ancaadrian9474 ปีที่แล้ว

    i paid 170 euros for my asus gt501 case and the top i think we should pay for a case is around 200. any more than that it does not make sense. if u are buying a 500 euro case thats 300 euro more u can spend on parts. but i guess some people can afford all prices.

  • @dreamEnd
    @dreamEnd ปีที่แล้ว

    Quite a nice case, new features are cool, look almost as good as Helios, but the rumored $600+ tag is ridiculous and you can get a better case+cooler with that amount of money.
    At least for internal components, ROG parts being expensive can be somewhat justified for it being one of the best AIB on the market, but for a case? Lower the price and give me a mid tower option and then I'll buy your chassis. Helios is quite dated by now

    Does that card really need that much of an overkill cooling solution? I can understand a 4090 needing it.
