I feel like most of us operate off an unspoken principle of getting paid for contributing something of value to society. This Tiktok shit is like a virtual ponzi scheme, where nothing of value is created, but money is for some reason exchanged. I mean, it's supposed to be "entertainment", but it quickly devolves into something more akin to grifting. On one end of the spectrum you have online content creators writing entire shows, renting studio space, building backgrounds and creating actual entertainment. And then on the other end is this - literally begging while offering as little entertainment value as possible.
Edit: Just wanted to point out when Jason had a flash of realization, and mentioned viewers battling themselves to the other guy. It was like he mentioned something that was not supposed to be mentioned, like "Dude, wtf, you trying to ruin this for both of us?" lmao

You know, as someone who is disabled and lives alone, the internet is an incredible blessing for me. I can have almost anything I want delivered right to my door, it makes my life so much easier, and it’s almost to the point where I couldn’t imagine life without it. Then there’s times when I see shit like this Nash guy, and tiktok in general, and I can’t help but think that maybe we’d be better off as humans if the internet was never invented and released to the public. I’ve been on the internet since the mid-late 90’s when I was just a kid, so I’ve practically grown up with it and alongside it, although the internet of today is nothing like it was in the late 90’s and early 00’s. Everything has its pro’s and con’s though, and I’d bet the internet has been more positive than negative, but when you see shit like this you can’t help but wonder, you know? Maybe I smoked a little too much, but I do have this thought cross my mind pretty regularly. I think my life would be better if I never heard of people like Jack Doughboy who just wrecked his car on steam, or the Paul brothers, the Tate’s, and countless others. I guess they give me something to point and laugh at occasionally, but that’s about it.

Things that are just 'normal' to you/ your friends and family members, but when viewed by certain other ethical belief systems/ cultures/ religions, etc, are seen as morally reprehensible/ sinful/ wrong and extremely 'bad' and worthy of 'karma's' full wrath.

I'm glad I don't spend time on TikTok, least of all enough time that I don't have to look up phrases to understand them. Looking up "Put the fries in the bag" is apparently TikTok phrase for quitting after falling off from being popular and getting a job at McDonald's.
