Go look into Ellen's past relationships beyond Heche another one of Ellen's partners (Kat Perkoff) died, this is beginning to look like how fires follow Oprah when she wants to buy up the land, not just a coincidence.
It's honestly a pretty simple formula. Ellen was not good looking so she had to make up for that with personality. But then she let her ego go to her head and broke the cardinal rule... She started believing the hype and treated everyone below her like shit. As if they weren't good enough for her. Eventually those checks bounced and people lost all respect for her.
I believe Ellen is a crappy person...but part of me wonders who she upset...When a famous person gets their public image destroyed...in most cases...it was intentionally destroyed...But I think she thought she was popular enough to beat the system...but no.
She just destroyed her own image by getting too comfortable being herself. Pretending to be nice/good requires a lot of effort for someone who isn't. She stopped putting in that effort when she reached the top and thought she was untouchable...

In light of her relation to epstien and diddy; this is easier to believe. It'd be one thing if it was a couple disgruntled ex-employees, but this seems to be a well known thing with her
I met her from the Before Times, when it was her older brother as lead singer in local New Orleans band The Cold that people noticed. My roomie ran the band lights and I saw this cute blond at a Carrolton bar one night after I landed from Oregon for college, and given her preferences I understand why the convo was over quick. Years later, I see that same brother who’d stick his tongue out like KISS and google-eye his crowds was now in a zippy LA suit dictating orders to a lieutenant introduced by narrator as Ellen’s producer.
Idk about getting paid to "laugh" per se, but in my country when I was part of a late show audience, I got paid to BE THERE, whereas other people working for that show would be planted in the audience to start the "Wooo!!"-ing , and clapping and/or laughing, so the audience knows when to do the same. But that was in Eastern Europe, no idea how it works in USA/rest of the world.
Paying them is probably not needed, crowd mentality plus the stress of being on thoses places would make 99% of those old ladies clap and laugh when others do.
They use plants in the crowd to get people cheering. Some shows also bring in a comic who comes in does some jokes and stunt in order to get everyone in a good mood prior to filming.
All live audiences are instructed on what to do. Some shows are very hands off. Like Tosh.0, they would just ask them to clap when the APPLAUSE sign lights up at the beginning and end of the show. But they didn't cue the audience for laughs because the show relied heavily on awkward silences and genuine reactions to the crazy ish that tosh would say. But for alot of these big network shows, they will give the audiences very specific instructions and requests. And they will have you removed quickly if you Eff around. There is actually a pretty good video on here about some chick who was an audience member for a handful of Lilly Singh's garbage late-night show episodes. She said they were very involved with the audience instructions. And they used members of the staff to be strategically placed audience members. Especially in seats that end up on camera a lot. It's actually crazy how many resources Lilly was given. The 1st season flopped so hard and she was still gifted a 2nd season. And then she had the balls to give a Ted Talk after the show was cancelled and complain about how racism and sexism were to blame for her show tanking.

Depends on your upbringing mostly. If you have a harsh childhood and/or uncaring parents you tend to be less empathetic. If you're in a more positive and caring environment it tends to rub off on you. Some people are indeed born broken (sociopaths, psychos, etc) but most of the time its environmental.
@@christianalanwilson434you're way off base. Socio/psychopaths are very empathetic, and use empathy to manipulate people, and draw out their intimate weaknesses. I can confirm these claims about Ellen and I have heard many more from both people who worked on the show in some manner and from those who just encountered her randomly on the street. Most of the "gossip" you might hear about how celebrities really are off camera are true as long as there's just a sheer volume of stories coming out, or if the stories are coming from top-level people like myself or other executives/board members/studio owners/etc. The reason for this, is because these stories go so far back, it pre-dates any tech that could've been used in more recent years to up the volume due to generators and bots.

I still remember her trying to get Mariah Carey to admit she was pregnant on her show. Tried to get her to drink alcohol to prove that she was pregnant at the time. Felt so bad for Mariah bc she looked uncomfortable but had to play it off.

their was always something off about her... her smiles never looked genuine. her face doesn't look used to being happy.
It’s like at any moment you piss her off she’s ready to give you the ‘I fucking hate you now’ eyes and I’m better than you
She never, EVER smiles with her eyes. It’s kind of insane how consistent it is once you start to notice it. I wonder when’s the last time she’s had an honest smile as a reaction to something that genuinely made her happy. It’s probably been years.
Her relationship with Diddy, the strange death of her ex Anne Heche, her weird exclusive interview with the security guard Jesus Campos from the extremely strange largest in history Las Vegas shooting, before he completely disappeared before giving scheduled interviews with actual news networks, never to resurface... She announced Mariah Carrey's pregnancy before Mariah wanted it out. On live TV.
Look up Mariah's family ties. Her sister has a lot to say about satanic rituals, and their mother.
De Generate is the living stereotype of the grumpy lesbian with short hair.
Sounds about right. She probably hates most people and felt judged about being a lesbian growing up and bitter about that among other things.
I don't get why you wrote the first part of your comment. If she was good looking, do you expect she'd get away with looking down on everyone?
She's a happy merchant, end of story.

You can't convince me that the audience wasn't paid to laugh at her "jokes"

I believe it. The last thing these people are out to be is genuine. Actually, that's most people. That's why people like you asmond. That's the single biggest reason why you are who you are, man. Screw the controversy me as well as most people agree you genuinely come across as a somewhat good person.
That's actually why I keep watching him, too. I don't agree with everything he says, but the fact he's capable of entertaining discussions and even admitting when he's wrong is refreshing. Even this video, he's not just taking people's word at face value, even when it means easy ammo to use on someone he doesn't like
I agree. Just based on the fact he seems mostly genuine rather than not is bigly refreshing, and reassuring to myself that I made the right choice to be unapologetically myself in a world that tries to beat your genuine self out of you since you were born. I have a lot less, "friends" since disingenuous people can't stand it, but that's a good thing.
Yep. The harder someone tries to act like a good person, the more likely it is that they're not.
I'd say at least 75% of people, where I've lived and been, lack any form of self-awareness, concern for others, and certainly any empathy. It took me 30 years to learn self awareness and I'm working on empathy now.. but man, we are not born with those skills
How do people still fall for the "good guy" act? When someone is too kind to be real, it's usually (99.9%) cause they're fake. And most of the time, they're actually overcompensating for being horrible. There are exceptions, but usually they're not those who are very public about their "goodness"
3:53 it's called narcissism and psychopathy. It's in every workplace, usually towards the top somewhere - there is a public facing 'false' side that seems really cool and nice, but behind closed doors where it can't be seen there lurks the monsterous side of that person. Its common.
Psychopathy isn't common. In higher up positions in businesses, it's around 3-4% not even diagnosed but just showing traits.

I don't believe youve had any high level position in Hollywood.
@@jamesb5864you can believe that, but I'll choose to believe them. It doesn't seem like something someone would say if they were lying... Since its nothing I don't already know.

Naive way to look at it. Being awful is just as much of a facet of humanity as being good, its just that showbiz tends to attract narcissists.
