As a nurse in the field, this has helped me turn down overtime and promotions. We are comfortable, we have adventures as a family and my biggest pay off is never losing sleep wondering if I did not do enough to spend time with the kids or further their knowledge and explore their talents that will further them in their life independent of us. A happy kid comes home, a depressed deprived kid starts a stream pretending to be happy or worse, superior.
And if they had more money they could afford to take the time off to be with their family. Every problem boils down to lack of needs, and cash answers every need in *some* way. I hate it too man, but let's not kid ourselves.

Guys here's how I improved my life standards, there's no secret: I haven't gotten rid of any of my hobbies (I'm a loser so its only playing games that I'm not good at). I haven't started working out (I actually tried but quit a week into it) I have no set times on when I sleep but for fucking sure I wont be sleeping before 2.30am, I just sleep a random amount between 8h to 9h30min. All I did was, I just decided I'll put some work into learning game programming and had fun doing it, some time passed and now I'm getting paid by people to do what I enjoy. In a way it's not bad advice. If I feel depressed I usually make myself shower, get dressed and go outside. I always feel better at the end of the day. The sense of having done something is a win I can feel good about, even if it's just going for a walk and saying hi to a passing stranger or doing a few chores around the house. @@yinyangsaladgang8789yeah I agree. People who say they are depressed just use getting stressed as an excuse to doing these simple things. Especially for men, they're not taken serious when they seemingly have a stable life/carrer until one day they just snap and end it. When they could've just taken some time off work. Realistically everything depends on your work, school and social life. Being disciplined is not about waking up at 5am everyday. Yes, if you’re working out early morning because it is your only free time during the day of course that fine but it also applies to 5pm as long as you’re responsible with your life, you’ll be disciplined with the consistency of your life priorities.
I can see it as a necessity for some high-achievers but not really a flex... If anything I see people who will go months with only 4 hours of sleep and just feel sorry for them.
In entirely depends on context. Flexing lack of sleep when all you do is play video games and smoking weed is kinda pathetic. But flexing lack of sleep when you actually work towards betterment of your life is better. I know people who slept for 5-6 hours average for like 4-5 years at university. Why? Because if they would sleep more they wouldn't have time to achieve what they wanted.
you almost always lose in quality of work what you make up for in quantity. Sleep is the foundation of good health and good health is the foundation of productivity
I was in the military. The day I was given my DD214 was the day I swore I would never work another job that required me to wake up at 05:00... And 11 years later I have maintained that position. If your natural body clock is not designed to wake up early, you will do catastrophic damage to your neurological system forcing yourself to adjust to a sleep routine that will rob your brain from getting proper rest.
@@Blackbirdone11 It's more an immediately forget it after learning it. It's a generational thing where the current generation is so used to digital they don't see a face clock as something they will ever need to deal with.
No it's the easiest thing to learn the short hand or arrow is the hour and the longer one it's for the minutes and each number of the clock = 5 minutes like when the time is 7:15 the long hand/arrow point at number 3 etc etc
After all those years I finally understood what is the best flex. The best flex is when you can wake any time you want every day. In fact you can sleep for next 12 months and everything will be fine as it would be on autopilot. This is the rule I decided to always follow, because it means: - You have a supportive family they will take care of the children and everything else - You have a job where you're accounted for the tasks you do and how well and you're highly effective spending few hours a day on that (hence you can wake up any time) - You are so financially stable that even if you decide to sleep for an entire day and you will get fired, you won't care in the long term This toxic productivity culture made us think this constant grind is a flex. I'm not a slave of the schedules nor the irrational race for attention, being rich quick and all this nonsense. You have no idea how this unmaintainable high-cortisol life destroys people in the long term. Never again.
The problem mate is that you are describing the end goal. Everyone wants to be able to sleep whenever, everyone wants to be in that scenario. What people are selling is the path to this goal. Work for 20 hrs/day, get yourself in an irreplaceable position, and then you don't need to grind. Go to the gym at 5 every day for 5 years, and you'll get the hot girl. Then you don't need to grind. (Cause target audience is too young to care about supportive family, they got the parents for that and they wanna bang hot chick) The last "And then you don't need to grind" is unsaid, but is in every person's mind when they buy such courses or follow such influencers.

As a man that has been married for close to 20 yrs. NEVER tell a woman, especially one you have some sort of care or love for 'It's ok to spend money on the things that make you happy'. Sounds great but it always gets out of control. I had to revise it to 'think about how many hours it would take YOU, to earn the money to buy this ( Not how long it would take ME) , then ask yourself, is it worth it?' And 'if you don't have the cash to buy 3 of them right now, you don't have the money to buy it!' EDIT: Good mothers get a free pass, they carried you around in their bodies for 9 months. Gotta show mom that you appreciate it somehow.

I woke up at 4:30 am for work daily for 20 years. There is nothing "glamorous" about this and when most of us hear you are waking up this early we just assume you have a job that requires this. At this point anything earlier than 6 a.m. on a workday feels more like a punishment. There are a lot of people who do shift work in some capacity (nurses, doctors, oil and gas companies, etc) who have to be at work at 5 or 6 am though so not sure how this is a flex? Or is it one of those flexes of "you have to wake up at this time and I choose to - we are not the same"?
bruh you need more sleep. at least 6hrs. at least. and dont snooze your alarm. you get more tired coz your brain goes to rem sleep immediately. and rem sleep isnt supposed to stop in just 15mins.

The hours were 2pm -10:30pm and my sleeping hours were basically what Zack's are right now. Perfectly acceptable time to go to bed depending on work schedule. Anyone saying that you NEED to wake up at 5am is trying to get something from you.
The benefits of getting up early (5 AM) depends on your lifestyle and if other people require your attention at some point. Waking up early can give you the time to do the things that you need to do for yourself without other people bothering you. Waking up early allows you to get things done without other humans getting in your way.
Actual rich people are very subtle, it is to avoid getting targeted by robbers and people with bad intentions. People that come in with a brand bag never buy anything except another brand bag 😂
I dont think it a big deal to wake up early go to bed with the sun or close to that time its pretty natural. It's only recently we have had the ability to enjoy such readily available low effort entertainment (youtube, movies, streaming, tv, etc...)so we stay up later then what we naturally would.
Knew a lady at a place i used to work who would boast about being an accontant and owning about a million dollars in property. In reality, she was unlicensed and would use turbo tax and take advantage of stupid poor people and ensure that their signatures were on everything, so if she made a mistake, they would be screwed instead of her. As for her property, she lived in an apartment in a terrible neighborhood, and claimed to own a house in vegas, as well as a house in CA. The house in vegas was owned by her boyfriend's parents, not her, and her house in CA was owned by her parents, not her. Eventually, I called her out, but she would keep doubling down. You can't help crazy.
One thing I learned is there's no point in calling out self-obsessive narcissists. Their brains literally cannot compute with them being inferior or wrong. The most you'll ever get is "well yeah but it's not my fault"
The times during which you sleep do matter according to current research. It’s not the same for everyone, but it should be “at night” when it’s dark outside. Circadian rhythm and all that jazz is a real thing and can’t be fought. Shift workers, those who work at night and sleep during the day, seem to have quite negative long term effects from it. From chronic illnesses to mental illnesses and even some types of cancer being more prevalent in shift workers that do night shifts for years and years. As someone who gets garbage sleep and has since I left high school, it’s so interesting to hear about people who can just fall asleep instantly when their head hits the pillow, and then stay asleep all night, and wake up feeling RESTED. Do people actually wake up feeling well rested?! I seriously haven’t felt that feeling in 10 years. To think I could feel that every day makes me feel the urge to spend whatever money and change whatever I need to change in order to get that back. But nothing I’ve tried so far has worked. I’ll get 6, 7, 8, or 9 hours and none of them seem to be good. It’s all different shades of ass. 6 isn’t enough. 7 is a little bit better than 6. 8 and 9 are too much because I wake up groggy and lethargic. This shit sucks, y’all.
I know a couple of people who work in cutting-edge sleep research. It's not rocket science - as well as sleeping 'at night' ideally, look into your diet, exercise, and if possible have no screen time for a couple of hours before sleep.
Go to your health food store and get a magnesium citrate powder. Mix it into water and drink at least 30 min before bedtime. As soon the relaxation hits go to bed. Don't fight it. This stuff works and made my life better. Good luck! Another issue that may be part of your problem is exercise. If you left highschool and stopped being as active then you need to figure out a way to tire out your body more. Go for a 30min walk after dinner. Just start doing small things like that and see if they help. Sleep study and medical intervention should be a last resort. Once again good luck.
If youre sleeping and not feeling rested then chances are you might be waking up during the middle of the night and don't remember. Waking up doesn't have to mean you're sitting up with eyes open, you can be coming out of your deep sleep into a waken state while your body is still _trying_ to rest. Best thing to do is change your diet and don't eat late at night.
Waking up at 5 am is genuinely good advice. Just sleep before 11pm. The peace of early morning is so much better than late night. If you're gonna sleep the same duration anyway, just sleep early.

Rarely do I comment and I know this will be lost somewhere in the comments but this video hit a string with me. Growing up I was lower middle class or poor. NJ was rough to really have money at all. At 18 I joined the military because it was a chance to get out and find a new life from my previous one that I saw was going nowhere and nowhere good. I served for 10 years in the army infantry and was wounded in combat. I was medically discharged at 100% complete disability. My first wife left me when I was wounded because in her words she cannot handle a man who cannot do men things anymore. She took my money, my car, my daughter and left while I was in the hospital recovering. I was broke, hurt mentally and emotionally. In a very, very dark place I worry about to this day. I was homeless, starving, broke. I focused on myself. I worked hard after the army. I took jobs that gave me a lot of physical pain. I went back to school on my GI bill, I worked out my body again. I realized I was the only one able to make a change in my life. I was responsible for me. No one else. Fast forward today. I got a well paying state job, a new wife, 2 more beautiful daughters. I bought my own house. I have two cars. I make over $100k net. Yet now I still feel pain if I have to spend more than $20. I am current 29 years old. The reason these people are like this is because they never struggled. They never had any sort of adversity in their life. Their parents had money, they had a man who had money, someway, they use money as a toy, not as a resource. Influencers are synonymous for life on story mode. They don't worry about bills. They worry about a number on social media that they make their entire personality.
It's honestly hilarious how some influencers think they can fool everyone into believing they're living lavish lifestyles, when in reality, they're just over-glorified clowns with a rented backdrop. Asmon is correct in his first point. When you sleep or wake up doesn't matter. It only matters how your body responds and if you are missing life events you need to do. Number of hours is flexible though. You don't usually need 8hrs. That part is a myth and mainly only true for people who workout a lot. 6-8hrs is good and there are some that can go as low as 3hrs. If you feel dizzy like your dying, get more sleep. If you feel groggy and sluggish, get less sleep. If you cant find a sweet spot, consider changing your diet. If that also doesn't work you might want to look into sleep apnea that may be affecting you. Good sleep is important!
It’s a very good point you make. I personally come from a family with money, but I have an uncle that lives in the US who has billions. I wouldn't say "most are chill". Having worked with millionaires for the last 6 years or so dealing with yachts, majority of the ones I deal with are insufferable. They're the most entitled people I have ever met. They're the same people that say "just get a better job". The same people that hate poor people cause "why won't my tenants pay more rent?!" @@garypinholster1962 Your experience was automatically filtered to be the rich people who own yachts, aka the definition of arrogant money wasters OP was talking about. Honestly I doubt you'd be able to tell who has money day to day, most rich people hide it pretty well because it creates uncomfortable social interactions.
@TrueUnderDawgGaming and you've met more than 10%? I'm just saying from first hand experience, the majority I have personally dealt with are not chill.
Learning how to dress, for guys, IS important, but it rapidly approaches a point of diminishing returns. Clothes and styles that fit you properly and accentuate your best assets while drawing attention away from/hiding your flaws will absolutely do you justice. But after that point, anything extra is largely a waste of your time and money. The only person luxury brands is impressing is the exact kind of person you really shouldn't be trying to date. It can be hard to figure out when you're starting with zero knowledge, but once you figure it out you don't really have to change anything from that point forward. I used to be one of those "I don't care about fashion" types, now I only care enough to notice silhouettes, but continue to ignore brands. You can continue to purchase cheap/inexpensive clothes while just learning how to better combine them and you'll look a lot better.
In my industry, I've been fortunate enough to become friends with very successful people and I've come to realize waking up at a certain time is so arbitrary. Some of my friends are millionaires and they wake up at noon. Some of them are FedEx drivers and are up at 4am. I will say that waking up to the sunrise (after getting your 8 hrs) feels amazing every time. But it doesn't matter when you're up, it matters what you do with your time.

It’s all about ego. They THINK having designer clothes and bags makes others think highly of them, and most just don’t. Even if you’re wealthy, spending $5,000 on a bag/purse is just stupid. It’s just saying that you’re not good at managing money and that you desperately need validation. These designer items aren’t that much nicer-looking or perform any better than things you can buy for 99% less. It’s absurd, and I know lots of people like this being from Miami. They live paycheck to paycheck, drive cars they can’t afford and max out their credit cards on Gucci and Louis Vuitton items.
People don't realize that wealthy people dress very modest that most of the people wouldn't even realize a wealthy individual even if they bump into them. Only poor people show off they're 'wealth' cos they've got nothing to show for.
Those bags are in fact worse as their high value makes them often dangerous to wear. Same with really expensive watches. I last saw a clip of a man getting attacked then robbed for his watch. They just bopped him in the head and took his watch, they didn't even ask for it.
I sleep for 4 hours a day but that's because of my bad habit from the past. Back in the past I would wake up at 4 am everyday to grind and play OSRS and now it's a habit and I don't need a alarm anymore lol.
As someone who's worked a night shift for several years, I will say what time you wake up and go to bed can have a pretty significant effect on your life. But obviously not to any extreme level.
Sometimes I just hope that those sloppy Influencers could just be truthful for 1 damn minute. How better the world could it be if they have some shame for telling obvious lies?
I think that American society in general has an extremely unhealthy obsession with becoming super rich or wealthy, and that it's destroying people. Life is short, but simple : there are so many ways to be happy in life, and you're not required to have lots of money unless you live somewhere where life is incredibly expensive.

As a nurse in the field, this has helped me turn down overtime and promotions. We are comfortable, we have adventures as a family and my biggest pay off is never losing sleep wondering if I did not do enough to spend time with the kids or further their knowledge and explore their talents that will further them in their life independent of us. These people never did blue collar work and it shows. I'm not only awake at 5AM, I'm at work.
After all those years I finally understood what is the best flex. The best flex is when you can wake any time you want every day. In fact you can sleep for next 12 months and everything will be fine as it would be on autopilot. This is the rule I decided to always follow, because it means:
- You have a supportive family they will take care of the children and everything else
- You have a job where you're accounted for the tasks you do and how well and you're highly effective spending few hours a day on that (hence you can wake up any time)
- You are so financially stable that even if you decide to sleep for an entire day and you will get fired, you won't care in the long term
This toxic productivity culture made us think this constant grind is a flex.
(Cause target audience is too young to care about supportive family, they got the parents for that and they wanna bang hot chick)
The last "And then you don't need to grind" is unsaid, but is in every person's mind when they buy such courses or follow such influencers.

Get a sleep study done, best possible next move.

All lies will be exposed in 2024 - Kat Williams

reminds me of the bowl-cuts of the 70s and 80s.
Thank god i am not the only one that thinks it looks stupid
My theory is that its an evolution from the man-bun. The man bun was the same but with the hair tied up. Some celeb or tik-toker went to a stylist and probably just got them to give them the Mayballine treatment.
I genuinly don't know why people are talking about it. Maybe it depends on where you live, but for me seeing such kid is ultra rate. Also, comparing to older generations younger ones imo have much bigger variety when it comes to hairstyle.
Fashion does revolve or devolve depends on your viewpoint
I call them mop-tops, I like broccoli too much
You seem like a good guy I think Im gonna subscribe. I'm 37 and pretty sick of how fake society has become too
6:03 Who's going to tell them 'grind core' is taken and doesn't mean what they think it means? And came up with a great song name.

Is that how she responds to her kids when they want to talk with her? Just a quick "no. Go to your room." ?
asmongold giving people advice about working hard and waking up early hahha bruh, this is pure comedy
I weld for 10 hour shifts 4 days a week and I wake up at 5am. Anybody who wakes up that early that isn’t required to for their job is a psychopath.
The other non-psychopathic reason is if you have small kids. When you have kids you become a morning person by force.
@@nichtsistkostenlos6565 I have kids and a morning job. They kinda go hand in hand to be real. 😂
If you show up to some kind of investor meeting with a Gucci bag, that's like waving a red flag that you know nothing about money.
Props man, truly. It's really awesome you overcame such a hellish situation.
Happy for you man!
It's honestly hilarious how some influencers think they can fool everyone into believing they're living lavish lifestyles, when in reality, they're just over-glorified clowns with a rented backdrop. The real joke is how hard they try to keep up appearances, yet all they manage to show off is an embarrassing desperation for attention. If only their bank accounts were as inflated as their egos.
Thank you! Yes, the people that actually get caught up watching 100+videos on public piano covers, or the king of mediocre entertainment covers in voices of characters from pop culture [pop vultures] are also to blame here. Such inane tripe.
I work for a family with a multi million dollar business. The ceo drives a Ford escort everyday. Leaves his porches in the garage for special days
Theres actually a big problem with people confusing depression with their life just sucks.
Rappers doing it for 40+ years.
Why'd you skip over Rockstars?
Cuz hip hop is more about having materialistic things and they always make you think they own everything in their videos but that's usually not the case. @@spoofs974

Whoever needs an influencer to tell you how to live your life is a lost cause to begin with.
People are not satisfied with their lives and look up to others for advice. The tiktok influencers exploit this. But your comment is dumb anyways.

What exactly is dumb about my comment?
Please elaborate.
Your comment was good until you added the last sentence with the insult, that was really dumb.
Jose is my influencer. Jose Cuervo.
@@Stephan-qt8mh Sure. Its because you don't understand what drives people to these influencers and make galactic size assumptions based on absolutely nothing.

"You only depressed if you have time to be depressed" is true.
But.
If you dont even have time to be depressed, soon, depression will be the lesser of your problems.
The guy/girl that said "double aged sword" needs a free sub for life when he talked about looking 38 with botox
The phrase "Fake it till you make it" was never that deep 😂 who ever came up with it did not think people would take it to this level
It was an expression made for and geared towards Hollywood. Since the core of acting is fake/pretend 😂
Influencers attacking other influencers in order to increase their influence. Reaction reaction videos. The internet isn't dead, it's just a pile of inane uncreative dogshit. And the problem is clearly me, since I'm posting a comment in one.
I’d rather not give annoying influencers my viewing time.
I'm helping!
I saw further up a bot copied to your comment.
I reported them as spam but it probably doesn't mean anything
"You are only depressed if you have time to be depressed". Hold up! Are you telling me that paying psychologists and psychiatrists all these years could have been avoided. Holy shi........
There's always time to be depressed, I'm depressed while doing my job.

As a small business owner who wakes up around 10:30, I have to tell my clients who want me there at 7am to start, that I have deliveries in the morning and can't be there til 12 or 1 😂 it's worked for 6 years so far
Small perk of being a business owner
This 😂😂😂. I work very focused and efficiently when I'm working, but that crap doesn't start until at least 10:30.
My morning starts when my cat smacks me in the face. Then I reheat leftover or eat random vegetables and cheese. Then I have an existential crisis
My old ass getting up at 5 to have a pee.
He made his kids work three jobs to buy their own car so they could learn the hustle.
He doesn’t wear any designer clothes but has a bunch of nice suits as he’s a politician.
He has a private jet that most of our family don’t even know about because he never talks or mentions it.
For him his life is just his company, and family
Pfft, amateurs. 5am club? I spent the last few years of my life getting up at 3:30-4am so I could be at work by 5am. Now I go to bed at 5am so I can be at work by 3pm.
5 am club? I liked clubs that close later...
Teach us your wisdom, sensei!
I remember having to get up at 5 to be be able to eat before work at 6 which I had to show up early to, and it was dark as hell then. It felt like it was every other day someone was slipping and dying on the ice out there in the dark.
Bro when I worked for the FBI I would wake up 3 to get to a location by 5 to watch a subject wake up at 7 so we could run our op.
Stuff like this is why people hate “The rich” even though most of them are chill. Too many people only see the arrogant money wasters
Because the decent rich people who worked for their wealth are too busy quietly enjoying their life and don't need validation.
I wouldn't say "most are chill". Having worked with millionaires for the last 6 years or so dealing with yachts, majority of the ones I deal with are insufferable. They're the most entitled people I have ever met. They're the same people that say "just get a better job". The same people that hate poor people cause "why won't my tenants pay more rent?!" "Why should a burger flipper get paid 25 an hour?!?" While they're raising rents on the tenants lol.
There are a couple I ran into that were chill but most definitely not the majority.
@@garypinholster1962 well you’ve met less than 10% of millionaires.
@@garypinholster1962 Your experience was automatically filtered to be the rich people who own yachts, aka the definition of arrogant money wasters OP was talking about. The chill rich folks generally just own a home in an area they like, then spend their money on their hobbies, not on a multi-million dollar boat that gets used once a year.

But it doesn't matter when you're up, it matters what you do with your time.
i know you made a vid abt jack doherty like 4 days ago but man i want ur reaction to the car crash, his "friend" was bleeding like crazy and jack just passed him the camera for the livestream, insane

It's like who cares?
"I'm just going to drive this low suspension supercar in heavy rain at high speeds on the highway, what's the worst that can happen?"
They live paycheck to paycheck, drive cars they can’t afford and max out their credit cards on Gucci and Louis Vuitton items.
i drive a 98 dakota 5.9 and 2004 f250 and i have zero interests in getting a modern truck.
@@Klassyy why 2 trucks, if I may ask?
He doesn't even actually start until 7am.
I roll out of bed 30 seconds after my alarm at 7:20am.
Facts. Finding that balance for you is key.
Unfortunately to live comfortably you have to be super wealthy. There's no simple living anymore, it's either be born rich enough not to worry about work, come up with a way to live without money worry on the way or deal with living without security all your life.
Last sentence: Everywhere in the west?
0:47 no you need a solid sleep schedule or you will be tired. dont listen to the guy who uses a dead rat as an alarm clock and rubs blood on the wall.
Negative i have an insane shift work schedule and he is kinda right just set alarm 1hr before you plan to get ready and get to sleep 8.5hrs before that exact alarm.
The only justification I'll accept is selfish marketing for personal growth. It's good to see people calling them out
I fully agree with the take that some people spend too much time looking productive than actually being productive
