I originally started only collecting Jordan and Kobe 90’s insert almost 8 years ago when sports card wasn’t popular and easier to get a hold of. Now it’s almost impossible unless you have deep pockets. Now it’s Luka, Trae, Zion, and Ja that we are chasing.

Amazing collection!! Can tell you are a real collector and appreciate all cards instead of just going for high end stuff. Autos are always special, but the 90’s kobe cards are always the most fun. The Bowman Atomic refractor and Finest Heir gold refractor are absolutely beautiful (better Topps Chrome my personal opinion). Keep up the nice collection!!

The BBP Atomic Refractor may have either been an uncut mistake or was hand cut from a sheet. I’ve seen the regular Refractor version uncut but it was cut crooked. Much rarer that way too. Could be a 1/1 or similar.

Man this was fun watch. I just got back into the hobby 3 weeks ago after clicking on one YT video then I went down the rabbit hole lol. Currently only a Kobe base RC purchasing binge right now. When you were purchasing most of your singles did you buy raw then grade or did you buy graded? What were biggest factors you looked at when got for PSA 8-10 or BGS 8.5-10. I need to do more homework but I’ve been mostly purchasing PSA 8-9 bc I want to keep these for my own PC without intent to sell. Just want to hand them down to my son when he’s 5 or 7
@Erein Regidor thank you sir for watching. That’s awesome you got back into it and doing it for your son as I originally got this collection fmastarted for my son too. We kinda go on and off collecting, but as far as Kobe cards, prices now are crazy high so we kinda stop as I think we have enough in our collection lol. When I started the Kobe collection for my son I had no knowledge of card collecting. I just thought they were cool hahaha. Majority was raw and bought at individual or bulk. I never spent more than $50 per card or $100 for bulk. We never bought anything graded. I sent them all for grading. The only 2 grading companies that was popular then was BGS and PSA. My son and I are very grateful we have this legend in our collection, hopefully it will stay with us for many years to come.
How did all the the plastic cases get so scratched up? Or does that just happened easly to all the cases because I see how well you take care of your cards. Just curious . Awesome collection
The one touch cases unfortunately do get scratch up very easily but I don’t mind as I can easily change them. The graded BGS & PSA I do try to be carefull on them but it does happen. If there is scratches on the graded slabs more than likely I bought them that way. There is a new company called “Superior Fit Sleeve” which I highly recommend for all your graded cards. After making the video I do have all of my graded cards now protected with plastic sleeve which it’s hard to tell on the video cause they fit so well. Hope that helps. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING.
WOW THAT IS SOME COLLECTION. I WOULD HAVE NOT GRADED ANY SINSE THEY MOSTLY ARE UNDER 10 you have got to be rich to buy this collection in the first place not too many collectors are in your card collections caliber, what’s the rite word crazy nice I can just imagine how your going too feel when they all become worthless That’s what happens to cards not graded 10 gm worthless basic knowledge all the numbered cards are something else and the printing plate 1/1 you need the other 3 1/1 plates then get all twelve or however many 2012 Cards are in the set I have the baseball set of 32 cards of Matt Hague I have 23 three cards + 3x 1/1 plates and am looking for the last one I just think I should have gone with mike trout instead value wise Funny thing about grading. They get them wrong all the time you should send them all not tens to becket see what they grade all your 7/8 /9 and 9.5 cards I would say they all come back 10. Becket is ok graders psa is bull so many times I see I that a card graded by psa is out of centering and still get a gm10 same with greening chrome. Any greening should take away a grade So thanks for showing the best collection of Kobe I have seen I have around 59 cards of Kobe but none graded hahaha not planning ether i just don’t to trust psa. I did not see any black Diamond how come It’s such a short product put out you should have the emerald minimal Look into it I have the Kobe set I can’t even find a value because no one sells them

This collection was originally started for my son who was less than 1 y/o at the time (about 10 years ago). 10 years ago card collecting wasn’t as popular as it is today, just imagine how easy and cheap the cards were back then. Definitely a lot easier to acquire. Even getting cards graded by PSA or Beckett was super easy and cheap back then, it was about $6-7 per card and they even gave out discounts just to use them unlike today where it’s about $200 per card for express lol…I am just grateful and glad I got them all graded at the time lol. And for our cards being worthless someday, believe me I wouldn’t be sad lol, my whole intention of card collecting wasn’t for the money, it is for the love of basketball and a huge fan of Kobe Bryant. And as far as value spent on our collection…lol I can probably sell one card today and get all our money that was invested on our entire collection. So just because we have all of these cards in our collection don’t assume that we spent an arm and leg on them, it was just great opportunity that we got them when we did. As for the UD Black Diamond I wasn’t a fan of the set at the time, but we do have them. What presented on the video is about 75% of our Kobe collection.

I personally think the best card you have is your 1/1 plate. That’s got to be worth half a mil By it’s self That card had 4 more 1/1 out there A Topps chrome Kobe 2012 superfactor 1/1. That’s got to be worth 5 or 6 mil I have at least 150000-200000 cards not one graded At 200 a card the only one who’s going to get rich off my cards is PSA

I’m New too the card collecting and I got my hands on some Kobe cards too but I was wondering how do you get them graded and what plastic cover do you recommend to keep them safe
That’s awesome, just be cautious as this can be an expensive hobby. For protection definitely have each card on a penny sleeve saver and on top loader. For grading, there are a lot of companies out there, but I personally use either PSA or BGS only. Good luck. Hope this helps.
Thank you for watching. I pulled about 5% of my of entire PC from boxes which is not great ratio. So instead of buying dud boxes, I started just going for the cards which saved me tons of money.
@ R Garcia Eventually I might sell but not now. Yes sports card in general is crazy high. Can never go wrong with Kobe cards, it might dip a little but for most part I think the value will just keep going up.
@@gmangman yes they would look nice on PSA case. I started collecting before the boom...when it was easier to get a hold of. And on the autos, got lucky acquiring them.
You don’t need to be well off to invest at the right time and no I don’t think I am financially well off now but I like to think of it as my son having a chance to afford college education and for his future.

Definitely a lot easier to acquire. Even getting cards graded by PSA or Beckett was super easy and cheap back then, it was about $6-7 per card and they even gave out discounts just to use them unlike today where it’s about $200 per card for express lol…I am just grateful and glad I got them all graded at the time lol.
And for our cards being worthless someday, believe me I wouldn’t be sad lol, my whole intention of card collecting wasn’t for the money, it is for the love of basketball and a huge fan of Kobe Bryant. And as far as value spent on our collection…lol I can probably sell one card today and get all our money that was invested on our entire collection. So just because we have all of these cards in our collection don’t assume that we spent an arm and leg on them, it was just great opportunity that we got them when we did. As for the UD Black Diamond I wasn’t a fan of the set at the time, but we do have them. What presented on the video is about 75% of our Kobe collection.

My thought was looking at players like lindros he was so hyped everyone got his cards and now 20 years later they are at 10% of what they could have been if his dad had not been his manager and got ko’ed by stevens ,and got up and fought for his spot in the game

What do you add your collection value at I was thinking at least 3 mill as is with no price tag some cards I had no idea existed. I personally think the best card you have is your 1/1 plate. That’s got to be worth half a mil

I have at least 150000-200000 cards not one graded
At 200 a card the only one who’s going to get rich off my cards is PSA
@@happymantom I completely understand what you are saying, didn’t mean to come off the wrong way. I personally believe the value on the Kobe’s are it’s lowest now which Is the best time to buy. Looking at your collection makes me sad. His cards will never decrease and only increase in value. People buy his cards even not in mint condition because what he did for basketball.

I’m New too the card collecting and I got my hands on some Kobe cards too but I was wondering how do you get them graded and what plastic cover do you recommend to keep them safe
That’s awesome, just be cautious as this can be an expensive hobby. For protection definitely have each card on a penny sleeve saver and on top loader. For grading, there are a lot of companies out there, but I personally use either PSA or BGS only. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Thank you for watching. I pulled about 5% of my of entire PC from boxes which is not great ratio. So instead of buying dud boxes, I started just going for the cards which saved me tons of money.

You don’t need to be well off to invest at the right time and no I don’t think I am financially well off now but I like to think of it as my son having a chance to afford college education and for his future.
