Thanks for the video. Very informative. Is it possible to fill with a portable LP tank if you turn the bottle upside down (since it doesn’t have a liquid line)? Maybe a custom hose would be required?
it is also possible to connect the vapor phases together and either use a small compressor to push the vapor or also position the source tank above the destination.
That was interesting, so what do mean if the connections freeze over, restriction on fuel flow??? That's funny cause on my 51 La Case tractor, it runs on propane, the problem is it freezes many times and at other times it suddenly thaws out immediately, however it will run and will continue to run unless I shut it off, I have replaced fuel filters constantly, but still freezes and runs fine. Great VIDEO 😁, Thanks for sharing this with me, 🤠👍
is a liquid draw always on the top of the tank? I have a fitting that is on the bottom of the tank. Will that work to fill a propane tractor or feed a grain dryer?
PLZ HELP! I think my tank was overfilled. It’s a 7 gal tank and they said they filled it more than that. I have a little knocking in the tank. If I loosen that flat head screw overflow part a little can I slowly empty a little that way.
@@wildcatwilly thank you for the reply. it’s for my RV so when I hook it up how would suggest keeping an eye on it? When I was driving home I heard a little continuous tick (“knocking” being the same thing?) I read that knocking my be a uneven mixture of gas and air? With that with the overfill and my fill gauge indicator attached when they filled it I’m just second guessing the whole thing. I got it filled at uhaul and they guy had some issues connecting it and it was very very slow to fill. But for piece of mind and knowledge could I slowly loosen that flat head screw to let some out? Any answer is helpful and I appreciate your time.
If it is outside the RV on the trailer hitch you don't have anything to worry about. I would just start using it. If you want to bleed it with a flat head screw go right ahead. Just don't smoke around it... haha. When the white liquid propane stops coming out of the Flathead screw you will be just under 80%. Propane tanks are only supposed to be filled to 80% to allow for expansion in warm weather.
@@wildcatwilly Thank you so much! I just wanted to hear that info so I would know for now and the future. Well it’s definitely not going to get warmer here. Next two days it’s dripping 10 degrees. 🥶 Again, thank you for the time you gave me with responding to my questions. Your rock! Enjoy your day! 😁🙏🏻
@@wildcatwilly I'm getting into propane powered small engines cause I'm tired of the problems with occasional use of bad gasoline. So I saw your video and thought this was interesting. Thank you.
One of the best things I ever heard about small engines especially now with the ethanol fuel is to starve them of gasoline every time you shut them down I have a gasoline generator that has been running for like 5 years straight with never an issue but I turned the petcock off every single time and let it just run itself out of gas

I believe that is possible if you look around on TH-cam I've not tried it myself

Never heard of that. Good insight.

I can't say I have seen both over the years...

You're fine just hook it up and start using it. It'll equalize itself keep an eye on it.

Thanks please subscribe for more. I always want to get information out to help folks.
Where can i get the hose with the connector
You will probably need to find a good Farm Service to install a liquid draw.
@WildcatWilly I'd like to buy the hose so i can fill my tractor with a forklift tank
How much propane do you think is wasted with this method. ?
Not very much I always heard there was like 4 gallons of vapor compared to liquid
Not an expert though it is better to have it hooked up properly...
