Wow!!! The precision the crane operator has to put that tank in the spot you wanted it is incredible!
Considering what the crane was set up on and the pads under the floats, the crane guy doesn't appear to have tons of expirence. The man basket on the crane was extremely illegal lol and the pads were well undersized, no safety gear on what's so ever, outriggers weren't taped off for swing zone, tires not off ground, I'm sure this dude was riding his line with the computer in rigging mode.
So much space in the new barns. I see a visit to auctions for new second hand implements in the future, maybe even space allocated for racing stuff. Enjoy.

When Zach was in the mobile labber the frist thing that came to mind was " beam me up Scotty" 😆 🤣
The guys did a great job setting up the stand for the lp tank.
But when setting up the second one it's better to measure in a X instead of an I I, that way you can detect when it's offset. With I I you can only detect rotation and it can still end // or \\ . With X when the numbers match it's a hit
We just put down our German Shepard sarge down last week. I miss him dearly but seeing your shep makes me happy.
For all your talk on safety Zach, it was terrifying to see you on top of the diesel tank with no harness (and on a clearly windy day too!).
Looking at the “rust” on the bottom of your diesel tank, might I suggest when you move the tank back, that you put down a concrete pad and isolate the tank from the pad with blocks of rubber. If the tank comes in direct contact with the concrete, you have the possibility of rust, again.
Used to coat the bottom of tank with tar and then tarpaper for a barrier . Had to do that about every couple years. Was in the project several times in the chemical industry

Yes. Mostly because we offer and utilize are own equipment for most jobs. So when a contractor comes out we usually are expected if not encouraged to help.

On this episode of Millenial Farmer, Zach has been having a rough year and so he was prescribed The Big White Pill to help cure his ills.
Zach will have to take it pretty easy till harvest. It looked like they might of actually put in a full days work and that’s a lot for a dry land farmer.
Damn Zack that was a big undertaking but that new LP tank in you must go through one heck of a pile of propane when you're running your dryer and drying down the corn

Delivery in the off season is much

That co2 sensor should be 30" off the floor not up by the ceiling. C02 is heavier than air so by the time it gets up there and the alarm goes off your dead.

Gas tank. Having that old bin base to use for the tank is great. Gas tank was heavy at 10,000 pounds. Went well.
Propane tank; lots of leveling and adjusting but in the end you all got it. Looks good the way you have it setup.

Zach -- You shoulda had that trackhoe operator give you a bucket ride by raising the bucket and spinning the cab on the trackbase. LOL. I had an operator do that with me once back in '78 when I was a young pup working construction. It was a big thrill. It was in a Koehring Excavator about twice the size of the one you guys are using there. He cranked that big ole Detroit Diesel and away we went! LOL

Hey Zach, I can tell you John Deere planter is a “little” out of whack, ever thought of a kinze? On our farm, we have 4 kinze planters row and we have little problems with them, now I’m not saying that they will be perfect, but they are awesome planters. October/November is normal, can go into early December tho
The only thing I saw that was unsafe was using the excavator for a man lift and no fall protection
Hey zach i know itll be more mowing but if you put grass seed in that grove by your house itll be a pretty yard with scattered trees
You should replant the grove with some native fruit and nut trees and shrubs. I’m sure the kids would love the food plot for wildlife. You could hunt from the comfort of the hot tub.

Man crane operators always amazing me by their skill and touch with heavy awkward objects as well as many equipment operators. I'm still on skid steers with hopes to work my way up to bigger more fun toys to run! Awesome work!
I'd suggest joining the 49ers and avoid doing what this operator did because it's pretty far from good and safe

I agree, I can't imagine paying somebody to drop and drag a huge investment like that. Skilled installation could rotate and set that tank in one pick, (and do it much safer.) I'm almost speechless watching this crew, I can't believe it..

one thing's for sure the men installing the new cradles aren't accustomed to working with a crane and have never taken any crane signals

At 5:01, you can really tell how big the tank and pillars are by how small the fella standing on it appears. The cost of the tank and pillars must not be to cheap, because that is a big sucker, and to fill it must hurt the wallet. G-d bless y'all.
