Franklin B Gault Intermediate school also known as Gault Middle School, was a middle school that operated in Eastside Tacoma Washington. The school opened in 2926, up until its closure in 2009 and succumbed to a fire on January 3rd 2024. While on the first half of the video you will see all of my footage I took the day the fire occurred, the 2nd half will be a slideshow of many pics of this school ranging from pics I found online, and the pics I took during my 3 separate visits to this school, ( Proper credits go to their rightful owners) While I did NOT go to this school while it was operating, I did get to have the opportunity to explore the inside of this place on 3 different visits. It's unfortunate to hear that this old school campus building got on fire unexpectedly. They didn't deserve to be burnt down. So totally reminds me of the abandoned Kmart in Portland that got on fire last summer. I am still bummed out the building doesn't exist anymore. I had the idea of bringing my friends there to do the exploration but thanks to the fire. As always, thanks for updating the abandoned middle school video. Keep it up! 👊
Sad to here this school no longer exist now. I went by ir many times while exploring on Google Maps. Such a beautiful building, I was hoping they would find a way to preserve it. Too bad a bunch of punks went in the and destroyed the inside and got it in horrible shape, otherwise it would've been easier to repurpose it. RIP Gault Middle School 1926-2024 😥🙏

I actually worked in this school as a teacher part time. It was a decent school despite it being in an area that is low income. I could work easily with the kids who went here.
