Brown recluse survivor here. Was cleaning out rose bushes in the fall, full gear (jeans, gloves, steel toe work boots, etc), somehow one bit just above my knee. Didn't notice until the pain! Very fortunate that it's only a slightly deformed 3inch long scar following my blood vein up, and about a penny sized circular divot at the bite site. I was bit by one when I was a teen working at a retail store. I notified the manager, and it was decided I should get to the doctor. I was at the doctor's office within two hours of noticing the bite. The doctor lectured me for waiting too long! I personally know what a black widow sounds like when crushed under your shoe. They have a sort of crunchy pop. Used to live in a house infested with the things. Landlord was a total scumbag.
My grandma was bitten by a black widow 3 times on her arm on the same occasion in the 80's, luckily she went directly to the ER and not only survived but had no permanent damage to her arm or anything else. She's not only the sweetest Italian nana ever but also a very tough lady.
Got bit by a black widow last month. I would say it was about 18 hours of acute cramping and discomfort. But I do t think I’d classify it as extreme pain. Basically, you just lay there and suffer for about a day.
My godmother got bit by a brown recluse. She was in the hospital for two months because they had to constantly keep an eye on her. She didn’t realize she was bit by a spider until the back of her knee (where she got bit) swelled up to the size of a baseball. So she was a little late on getting immediate treatment She’s fine now
I was bit by a widow once, had a horrendous arm ache (near location of bite) and then my arm went numb. Went to the ER, got treated and that was the end of it, not as bad an experience as shown in the video for me
I was checking my water meter one day. I pulled up the steel lid and flipped it over; not two inches from my finger was a *huge* black widow guarding five egg sacks. Fortunately she was more interested in guarding her eggs than attacking me. I very very gently laid the lid down. Then I grabbed a lighter and a can of hair spray and took care of the problem.
I've actually lived in a house right next to a huge black widow's nest. We encountered the first one right under a toy in the backyard, being the young idiot I was, I walked up to the weird giant creature and luckily my dad moved me out of the way and killed it. It was the biggest near-death experience I've ever had. Glad we moved!

Like the constantly nodding smiling people who are apparently in loads of pain. The Doctor attending them with a huge smile on their faces gets really morbid after a while. Never mind the necrotic skin, descriptions and images of that stuff has never really bothered me, let alone with an animation. At 14 (23 now) u was stung by a tarantula hawk while mowing my front yard. Immense pain immediately. It was definitely the worst pain I’ve felt. Lasted what seemed like forever but was probably only like 20 minutes. My mother trying to help was also stung by it. Was a bad Saturday morning.
“Why you should seek information from inforgraphics” You know that the overwhelming majority of bites occur in neglected areas of people’s homes not out in the woods? I've had personal experience with three of these. I'm very lucky that I'm generally resistant to most venoms, but I can verify that some of these things are nasty. Black widow spider: if I hadn't watched it bite me and had a small amount of redness, I wouldn't have known it was a widow, or would have thought it was a dry bite, apparently I'm nearly completely immune to this one. Tarantula hawk: very painful, but I've been stung by worse. Location matters in stings, and I'd rather get another tarantula hawk sting on the back of my hand than get another honeybee sting in the ear. Saving the worst for last, brown recluse spider: my resistance helped keep the necrosis contained, but I wasn't able to clear it on my own. After a few months (I'm stubborn, it was on my foot, and I thought it was just a really bad rash) I finally went to see a doctor about it, and it took a very strong corticosteroid but finally managed to heal.
At the time, I didn't have health insurance so like most things, I took a wait and see attitude. Since it didn't give me any trouble, and since widow bites are rarely life threatening to healthy adults, I didn't seek any treatment.
Yesterday I suddenly got super sick, severe abdominal pain, felt like I was fighting off some horrible virus, weak, my hand and wrist cramping and spasming, nausea etc. This morning woke up to find 2 side by side spider bites on the side of my hand that was cramping...then I realized I'd been bitten by a black widow and thought I was getting a bad virus and went to bed...glad I woke up today...
I'm never leaving my boat again. It's safe in here... Except for the spider bite I got last week. Itched and burned a bit but was fine, its a London canal after all, not Australia.
being in the weaver family, Black Widows are actually incredibly gentle spiders believe it or not. to get bite by one, you kind of have to force it to do so. my advice is always look where you put your hands, other than that, they are not really a threat
My mom got bitten by a brown recluse about 10 years ago, and she was like “it normally would’ve kicked in (the pain) not right away, but for me, I felt a burning feeling, and it lasted for a few hours. My skin at the area of the bite turned red, then brown, it was blistering, then it kinda rotted a little, and then after about a month it went back to normal”
Unfortunately a female in her twenties got bit yesterday where I live and now is quadriplegic. This spider is no joke, she is all over the news in local social media here. People comments reads that she would rather be dead than be crippled like that for the rest of her life, I agree...
That's why divers are told not to touch anything in the water but like most who don't take scuba diving courses: they disregard these warnings and end up with either the bends or something much much worse.
I got stung by a jellyfish when I was a kid but it wasn't as bad as how the video explained. It was just really painful and felt like my hand was on fire, but it went away after a few hours
My dad was bitten by a black widow and actually didn't show any symtoms until the second day. we had to wake up and go to the ER bc he was hallucinating and stuff it was too late for normal treatment and he made a really well recovery within about 14 hrs of being there

Its weird when the farmer sad and the docter happy and smilelng
I wish I could’ve just fulfilled my childhood dream of becoming Spider-man
I'm never leaving my boat again. It's safe in here... Except for the spider bite I got last week. Itched and burned a bit but was fine, its a London canal after all, not Australia.
I like the content their post now,i loved info but for 5 months i stopped as it wasnt my cup of tea but now LOVE what their posting
i actually came across 2 in the same corner as a child
It is awesome to learn how the black widow spiders behaves
being in the weaver family, Black Widows are actually incredibly gentle spiders believe it or not. to get bite by one, you kind of have to force it to do so. my advice is always look where you put your hands, other than that, they are not really a threat
“And will drop your blood pressure”

My mom got bitten by a brown recluse about 10 years ago, and she was like “it normally would’ve kicked in (the pain) not right away, but for me, I felt a burning feeling, and it lasted for a few hours. My skin at the area of the bite turned red, then brown, it was blistering, then it kinda rotted a little, and then after about a month it went back to normal”
My mom was bitten by a brown recluse on her back, next to her spine. It took months to heal and she has quite the scar now.

I actually got a hug from black widow 😂😂🥰🥰 and Thor⚡🔨
“Stonefish” *shows a lionfish
Love the intro
Black Widow bites are VERY RARELY fatal. They are THE most common spider here in AZ, and there has not been a fatality from a BW bite since the 60s.
I live in Louisiana and I see black widows almost every single work day working for the water department
Amazing how bad a bite from a spider smaller the most people's pinky nails can be so bad!
Imagine being so afraid of corona you get bitten by a deadly spider
So early pls don't stop love your content
5:02 That doctor smiling, he must be a plastic surgeon, and is thinking of his fee for reconstructive surgery on her leg.
That stone fish looked more like a lion fish to me. Stone fish look black/ brown. That was definitely a lion fish you showed lol
It is they're getting desperate.
As a Florida man all these thangs I see
Unfortunately a female in her twenties got bit yesterday where I live and now is quadriplegic. This spider is no joke, she is all over the news in local social media here. People comments reads that she would rather be dead than be crippled like that for the rest of her life, I agree...
Brain : Ooh a video on spiders-
DDOI : AND JELLYFISH
"Described as having a sledge hammer smashed into each knuckle". Ouch!
I didn’t know the jelly fish was a branch of the black widow, you learn something new every day
"liked what?" Infographics with the slick jokes lol
I dunno how painful the bite will be but I now know the origin of the Black Widow from Avengers 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I live in Utah and we found a dead triantula hawk on our doorstep... they are terrifying looking.

I remember clear as day what it was like being bitten by one of these spiders... The pain was ungodly.
Got nothing against our wee Sydney Funnel Webs
You almost have to be trying to get bitten by most new world critters. Most will either try to flee or give you warning
That's why divers are told not to touch anything in the water but like most who don't take scuba diving courses: they disregard these warnings and end up with either the bends or something much much worse.
I was bitten by a black widow spider cleaning up my old gym. It felt like every bone in my body had exploded.
I got stung by a jellyfish when I was a kid but it wasn't as bad as how the video explained. It was just really painful and felt like my hand was on fire, but it went away after a few hours
My dad was bitten by a black widow and actually didn't show any symtoms until the second day. we had to wake up and go to the ER bc he was hallucinating and stuff it was too late for normal treatment and he made a really well recovery within about 14 hrs of being there
By 'disturbing images', you mean oddly-animated puppets with scabs (but weirdly grinning inanely) ? 🤔
No, he meant 5;08

Lived in Louisiana for two years and Brown Recluse Spiders were a regular annoyance.
Tarantula Hawks are pretty docile. I've been able to get up close and take pictures of them just centimeters away.
Infotaining video.
Got bit by a recluse, started out as a raised pimple, turned into a ulcer in a couple of days.
Have a nickel sized scar 12 years later..
Hiker sits on black widow, develops bite wound on his back. That’s some potent venom.
