I love listening to Joey talk about this stuff because those of us who have lived these similar experiences know exactly what the fuck he is talking about and how it FEELS, you cannot fake these kinds of tales you either have lived it or you haven't and this guy is legit. It starts with a bump or two and a few beers.....and then the lines would be cut out more often and longer. Before you know it you all start jabber jawing about God knows what and then it's 3 am, then even quicker it is 6 am and you put foil on the windows to keep the light of a new day from creeping into your fucked up reality. About this time my brother keeps checking the peephole and all the locks on the door every few minutes. Eventually it's late morning or early afternoon and we are out of coke and liquor and I am sitting there drinking kool aid and chain smoking cigarettes dealing with a diminishing high and the reality of another wasted day as normal everyday life goes on outside the door. Also reconciling with the feeling of being an absolute garbage human being.

That's the spiritual side that will give you the long lasting willpower to refrain from it but you also have to ask yourself hard hitting questions and answer honestly; such as why am I actually doing this. What are the reasons. Everyone's are different but alot of people have similar reasons. Trauma, sadness, no friends so trying to fit in with anyone, girl problems etc

I was always able to sleep on meth. Just stopped by 10pm and popped a bar would have me asleep by 3am. Terribly destructive drug though. Youll blow through all your hard earned money just to keep that energy doing

When smoking speed I ve never felt to bad in the morning hell I d smoke all night and go to work for 7 am start. But with cocaine it was a whole different ballgame. Major anxiety would kick in and there is no way I am going to work or even leaving the house. Checking blinds and peep holes cocaine was way worse in terms of come down

Sounds like a story my cousin told me about himself tweaking on meth. Dude was stealing cable from one of his neighbors (this was the 90s) and was so paranoid that he thought the feds were on to him. He said for an entire day he kept looking out the window trying to figure out who was a fed; he thought it was the mailman, random people walking through the neighborhood, even the kids outside playing may have been in on the whole operation. That stuff is no joke, it really fucks people over.
Its the sleep deprivation that causes the delusions and hallucinations. Back when I was doing it regularly, I made sure to sleep at least 4 to 5 hours a night and avoided the psychosis completely

You do it long enough and you’ll be stuck in the paranoid psychosis and always think the feds are after you..even after you stop using. I’ve seen that happen to a lot of people.

@@justinhopper5941 i know its not a competition or anything, but man I went through Fent/Heroin+meth+ xanax withdrawals all at once. Maybe I couldnt notice any meth withdrawals because the benzos and opiate withdrawals were maximally traumatic lol. It took me just 6 weeks to get through the xanax withdrawals thanks to Librium my doc prescribed me. But it took me a solid full year as well into the Methadone program, until I finally psychologically lost the desire to ever shoot up again or take opiates recreationally. For that first year I was taking H and eating fent patches on top of the methadone I took daily. The 2nd year I took the program seriously and by the end of year 2 I was mentally ready to taper all the way down from Methadone. Went from 75mgs a day to 18mgs a day in 5 months and then was able to discharge officially after I no longer felt the tiny doses were doing anything. Been clean from all that since May 2022 now. So yeah man, I know exactly how it is. Glad we both made it outta that hellhole 👊🏼
Two years off of meth. This was by far the most accurate way I've ever heard someone describe what stimulants are like. As he described it, I could remember exact places and experiences on drugs that were 99% the same as he said. It really makes you feel like a piece of shit and a disgusting person by the time morning rolls around. Your mindset changes the more and more the sleep deprivation gets to you. But when it's daylight, it's like a switch in your head. The night is over. The fun time doing the drugs is done. It's just downhill from there. You're just doing more of the drug to stay awake at that point. There's no getting higher. You're sweaty, you have body odor from being up all night doing lines, your teeth hurt from grinding them, your mouth feels awful... And you have to be at work in a few hours. Whenever I wanna get high, I always think back to those mornings after tweaking all night, or the past few nights. Those were always the roughest moments. You really reflect on your decisions.

HaHa I've done the same thing. We used to refer to those nights as "Getting Snowed In". I once called my friend to come to my house, because I swore there were cops in my front yard hiding in the bushes. I bet I stared through the peephole in my door for 8 hours that night. I've flushed coke, and swallowed 1 gram rocks because I was sure the cops were going to bust in my door any minute. My habit got so bad that my dealer told me I needed to slow down, because I was starting to look like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas.( I was giving that guy$150 per day) I didn't stop until I was having constant audio hallucinations, and visual hallucinations about 40% of the time. I essentially was showing all the signs of being schizophrenic. It wasn't a tough drug to stop though. You can just sleep for a week or 2 then everythings pretty much over......then a couple years later I found Heroin....that is a whole different story.

Haha me too I actually used weed to get off heroin. I got down to only shooting about a half gram per day, then took 2 weeks vacation from work, did bong hits every 30 mins, and had a pretty shitty 2 weeks. It's been about 3 years now just smoking, but about once every 3 months or so I'll shoot a half gram for fun. If it wasn't for weed I would have probably lost my job, and my family would have found out I was a heroin addict because I would have had to go to a rehab facility. It was weird, I couldn't even really function when I was doing an 8 ball of coke per day, because I was too paranoid to leave my house. But I could completely function when I was doing 2 grams of heroin per day(as long as I didn't run out). The 2 best things about not being addicted to heroin are, actually having money, and not having to worry about running out.

Your super lucky i lost everything i worked for at 22 (id been working since i was 15 ) two cars my bread, family. im lucky to have most of it back now at 26. you know how your brain works when you dabble it switches on right away and you may not use the following day but you think about it and the next time you can aka obsessing. very dangerous good luck friend ,and god bless.
AlphaBeReal I've been doing the shoot 1gram over a weekend, every 3 months thing for about 2.5 years now. There's a sense of control there, but the only thing that worries me is something bad happening in life(work, relationships, etc) and I decide to say fuck it and go back to shooting everyday. I don't think that will happen, but I'm not arrogant enough to think that it can't happen. I haven't forgotten how terrible it is to be shooting 8 times a day everyday, and hopefully continuing to remember that keeps me from falling back into it. There is something nice about being able to do it for 48 hrs then step away from it for 90 or 120 days, but I do recognize the danger in it. I'm sure eventually my dealer will get popped, and at this point I won't go looking for a new one, so in a sense I guess there's a conscious decision to enjoy it while I can.
Its not the hangover that kills, its the fact that you outlasted it so much that the next day has already started and you know your brain isn't ready for it
Yeah.. "tweaking" on coke is childs play compared to ice. I CALLED THE COPS MYSELF because I saw a guy stealing stuff out of my backyard. I saw army men playing cards on a table across the street from me another time. That same day I saw a giant robot on the side of my neighbors house. It turned out to be a commercial air conditioner unit. I was OUT THERE boy.

I love listening to Joey talk about this stuff because those of us who have lived these similar experiences know exactly what the fuck he is talking about and how it FEELS, you cannot fake these kinds of tales you either have lived it or you haven't and this guy is legit. It starts with a bump or two and a few beers.....and then the lines would be cut out more often and longer. Before you know it you all start jabber jawing about God knows what and then it's 3 am, then even quicker it is 6 am and you put foil on the windows to keep the light of a new day from creeping into your fucked up reality. About this time my brother keeps checking the peephole and all the locks on the door every few minutes. Eventually it's late morning or early afternoon and we are out of coke and liquor and I am sitting there drinking kool aid and chain smoking cigarettes dealing with a diminishing high and the reality of another wasted day as normal everyday life goes on outside the door. Also reconciling with the feeling of being an absolute garbage human being.

That's the spiritual side that will give you the long lasting willpower to refrain from it but you also have to ask yourself hard hitting questions and answer honestly; such as why am I actually doing this. What are the reasons. Everyone's are different but alot of people have similar reasons. Trauma, sadness, no friends so trying to fit in with anyone, girl problems etc

My fellow ex-tweakers/ neverending party cokeheads who else can relate to the soul crushing sound of birds chirping in the early morning. Nothing is more detrimental to the very last string of humanity of someone smoking meth than the sound of the next day starting.
That’s one of the main things that helped me stop doing it. But I miss it at the same time. Lol
I was always able to sleep on meth. Just stopped by 10pm and popped a bar would have me asleep by 3am.
Terribly destructive drug though. Youll blow through all your hard earned money just to keep that energy doing

When smoking speed I ve never felt to bad in the morning hell I d smoke all night and go to work for 7 am start. But with cocaine it was a whole different ballgame. Major anxiety would kick in and there is no way I am going to work or even leaving the house. Checking blinds and peep holes cocaine was way worse in terms of come down

Sounds like a story my cousin told me about himself tweaking on meth. Dude was stealing cable from one of his neighbors (this was the 90s) and was so paranoid that he thought the feds were on to him. He said for an entire day he kept looking out the window trying to figure out who was a fed; he thought it was the mailman, random people walking through the neighborhood, even the kids outside playing may have been in on the whole operation. That stuff is no joke, it really fucks people over.
Its the sleep deprivation that causes the delusions and hallucinations. Back when I was doing it regularly, I made sure to sleep at least 4 to 5 hours a night and avoided the psychosis completely

You do it long enough and you’ll be stuck in the paranoid psychosis and always think the feds are after you..even after you stop using. I’ve seen that happen to a lot of people.

I’ve never came off that but I hear it’s hell. I came off fentanyl years ago though and anxiety and depression was horrible. It took almost a year to fully stabilize. Not a fun time.
@@justinhopper5941 i know its not a competition or anything, but man I went through Fent/Heroin+meth+ xanax withdrawals all at once.
Maybe I couldnt notice any meth withdrawals because the benzos and opiate withdrawals were maximally traumatic lol.
It took me just 6 weeks to get through the xanax withdrawals thanks to Librium my doc prescribed me.
But it took me a solid full year as well into the Methadone program, until I finally psychologically lost the desire to ever shoot up again or take opiates recreationally.
For that first year I was taking H and eating fent patches on top of the methadone I took daily.
The 2nd year I took the program seriously and by the end of year 2 I was mentally ready to taper all the way down from Methadone.
Went from 75mgs a day to 18mgs a day in 5 months and then was able to discharge officially after I no longer felt the tiny doses were doing anything.
Been clean from all that since May 2022 now. So yeah man, I know exactly how it is.
Glad we both made it outta that hellhole 👊🏼

This was by far the most accurate way I've ever heard someone describe what stimulants are like.
As he described it, I could remember exact places and experiences on drugs that were 99% the same as he said. It really makes you feel like a piece of shit and a disgusting person by the time morning rolls around.
Your mindset changes the more and more the sleep deprivation gets to you. But when it's daylight, it's like a switch in your head.
The night is over. The fun time doing the drugs is done. It's just downhill from there. You're just doing more of the drug to stay awake at that point. There's no getting higher. You're sweaty, you have body odor from being up all night doing lines, your teeth hurt from grinding them, your mouth feels awful... And you have to be at work in a few hours.
Whenever I wanna get high, I always think back to those mornings after tweaking all night, or the past few nights. Those were always the roughest moments. You really reflect on your decisions.

HaHa I've done the same thing. We used to refer to those nights as "Getting Snowed In". I once called my friend to come to my house, because I swore there were cops in my front yard hiding in the bushes. I bet I stared through the peephole in my door for 8 hours that night. I've flushed coke, and swallowed 1 gram rocks because I was sure the cops were going to bust in my door any minute. My habit got so bad that my dealer told me I needed to slow down, because I was starting to look like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas.( I was giving that guy$150 per day) I didn't stop until I was having constant audio hallucinations, and visual hallucinations about 40% of the time. I essentially was showing all the signs of being schizophrenic. It wasn't a tough drug to stop though. You can just sleep for a week or 2 then everythings pretty much over......then a couple years later I found Heroin....that is a whole different story.

Haha me too I actually used weed to get off heroin. I got down to only shooting about a half gram per day, then took 2 weeks vacation from work, did bong hits every 30 mins, and had a pretty shitty 2 weeks. It's been about 3 years now just smoking, but about once every 3 months or so I'll shoot a half gram for fun. If it wasn't for weed I would have probably lost my job, and my family would have found out I was a heroin addict because I would have had to go to a rehab facility.
It was weird, I couldn't even really function when I was doing an 8 ball of coke per day, because I was too paranoid to leave my house. But I could completely function when I was doing 2 grams of heroin per day(as long as I didn't run out). The 2 best things about not being addicted to heroin are, actually having money, and not having to worry about running out.

Your super lucky i lost everything i worked for at 22 (id been working since i was 15 ) two cars my bread, family. im lucky to have most of it back now at 26. you know how your brain works when you dabble it switches on right away and you may not use the following day but you think about it and the next time you can aka obsessing. very dangerous good luck friend ,and god bless.

AlphaBeReal I've been doing the shoot 1gram over a weekend, every 3 months thing for about 2.5 years now. There's a sense of control there, but the only thing that worries me is something bad happening in life(work, relationships, etc) and I decide to say fuck it and go back to shooting everyday. I don't think that will happen, but I'm not arrogant enough to think that it can't happen. I haven't forgotten how terrible it is to be shooting 8 times a day everyday, and hopefully continuing to remember that keeps me from falling back into it. There is something nice about being able to do it for 48 hrs then step away from it for 90 or 120 days, but I do recognize the danger in it. I'm sure eventually my dealer will get popped, and at this point I won't go looking for a new one, so in a sense I guess there's a conscious decision to enjoy it while I can.
