I have a piece of IKEA history I will never sell….it’s their catalogue from 2010 where they had a room set-up and my toddler and I are on the cover- PRICELESS!
Wow, now that’s a piece of IKEA history you can’t put a price on! 🥰 How amazing to have a catalog cover starring you and your little one! Talk about the ultimate IKEA collectible! Forget the furniture-your cover is the real treasure here. Thanks for sharing such a special memory! 📸✨
Greetings, Professor Torp. So good to have you back. Love vintage, ikea. This is such a useful video.👍🏾🌟. I often find such pieces in vtg shops. I'll know what to buy and keep. Thank you. London is here🎉🇬🇧👋🏾🌟👍🏾
I wish I could find some great finds like that out on the street....too many people around here go out on the nights where you are supposed to toss out your unwanted furniture and they actually drive around picking up the best stuff, clean it up, refurbish it and put it up for sale....maybe, if the weather is lousy they stay home...but then I don't want to go out on bad weather days either...LOL!
I had 5 of those Guide shelfs and was using them for my books. I hated it that they were opened and collected dust so they were replaced and went to the garage and when I moved they went on the curb :)
Wow, that’s an incredible story! Isn’t it funny how the things we once found annoying can become such valuable treasures? 😄 I bet those shelves are making someone else very happy now! If only we all had a crystal ball for future collectibles. Thanks for sharing your IKEA adventure! 📚✨
I have the IKEA cork coffee table/bench, light natural cork colour with the black legs, designed by a British designer, i’ve forgotten her name. But I don’t want to ever part with it! I’m kicking myself that I had just missed 2 of the matching cork stools when one IKEA store, here in Queensland Australia, had dropped the price to AUD$19.99, from AUD$99!! The designer pieces often go out super cheap when stock is very low and its the end of their production - but these clearance sale prices are rarely listed online here, as they go out in one day, or a few hours!!
Hi and thanks for this. I have an IKEA leaf side table in great condition that I thrift bought for about $10 Canadian dollars. I presume it is not vintage, but rather an IKEA re-issue. Wondering how one would tell.
Thanks for watching, and what a fantastic find! 🙌 The IKEA Leaf table (or Lövet table) is such a classic piece. To tell if yours is a vintage original or a re-issue, check the table’s underside for any markings or labels. Vintage Lövet tables from the 1950s often have a stamp with "Made in Sweden" and a more angular, almost triangular leg design. The re-issues tend to have rounded legs and a newer IKEA label. Either way, you scored a great deal! Enjoy your piece of IKEA history! 🍁✨

Are you quoting American dollars ?
So in few words the only shit that is actually worth something is the stuff made of actual wood like chairs and tables
So the purpose is to sell you as much shit as possible
