I just installed the same downpipe and now my car is driving really slow, On the screen in sport mode plus it’s only getting up to 100 hp. Any ideas please help!!
No check engine light? Gotta double check everything and make sure there aren’t any exhaust leaks. Did you replace the gasket or put in a new one? O2 sensors in correct spots?
No you don’t. You’d just need a tuning software to turn off catalytic monitors so the car won’t throw a check engine light. Or you can buy a high flow CAT, more expensive, not as much power but close, and won’t throw a CEL
@@MK-bm8yn FBO Stg 2 93oct BM3 no issues just make sure to change oil liquimoly 5w-40 every 5k ngk spark plugs 0.022 gap and it can run the 93 tune happy before i had stock plugs and my car was unhappy on low end
Yes it will, if it’s catless. You can turn off the catalytic monitors using a tune, which would remove the CEL. Or you can opt for a high flow downpipe that guarantees no CEL. Or just do other exhaust mods if you don’t want the CEL (res delete, muffler delete are cheaper options)
Like burnt gas fumes. You don’t smell it in the car. Unless you have your windows down and your stopped. Then you might get a whiff. If you don’t mind the smell it’s worth the gains
It’s recommended you replace the v band clamp connecting the downpipe to the turbo but you don’t have to if your stock one isn’t in bad shape. That’s the only one. Also don’t forget about the gasket that goes into the downpipe. That should be new if your stock one is higher mileage
I’d say around 260 to the wheels, nothin crazy but a noticeable difference forsure. What year is your n20? I sold mine for a 340i. Wanted more power haha. If you can I’d maybe wait for an upgrade. If not it was fun modding the n20 just keep up with maintenance
@@brentvercammen7676 a good question, I never adjusted the burble settings on that car. Would probably increase burbles (more frequent and louder pops)
That rattling sound is metal vibrations breaking in the flex of the New Downpipe
I believe it was wastegate rattle as the sound did not go away as the flex was broken in
check the exhaust flap, thats where it rattles from typically, I put on a AA axle back and no more rattles!

Dang, yeah it could be that. In that case you can maybe replace the actuator or the clip to the actuator to fix it

Yep it was catless. The way to bypass is thru a flash tune like Bootmod3. You can turn off catalytic monitors and that will get rid of the CEL

What mileage is yours at? Figured it was either the exhaust valve loose, or the wastegate rattling on the turbo

Oh true, only thing is ya gotta be careful running max aggression all the time because that’s a lot of strain on the cat
