- the process of filming this video was hell. On to the next one. I would NOT recommend to buy this downpipe, I did not carefully read, it is actually for the 428i/428i xDrive. It should still fit because its for the N26 motor, but the bracket holding the downpipe doesnt line up with the bolts, so I decided to make this a fun little vlog, to also let you see how it sounds. It sounds MUCH BETTER after getting welded! I swear! The car pulls WAY HARDER!

I have a 2012 BMW 328i and it has an n20. From my understanding (you were right) they switched to the n26 for emissions not just for California but for the whole U.S. Enjoyed the video and can't wait to see more of your build in the future! Greetings from Music City! (Nashville, Tennessee)

Definitely not a big fan of how it sounded in the after shot. Did the muffler and resonator delete on my 2013 328i and was happy with that. Installed an injen intake after watching your install video and now it sounds glorious 😌
Anthony Luna it sounds 1000x better after it was welded man. It has a mean growl now, and i will make a video specifically showing before and afters. I think the mic simply cannot pick up how much better it sounds. Not only sound, but the car pulls harder now!
Is it possible to disconnect the O2 sensors from the cats instead of disconnecting its connectors from the engine?

Everyday I have to clear Code for catalytic in my BMW Gran Coupe F36 2015 N55 engine. I love the engine sound But I hate this code and another from Flowmeter. I have Installed Intake, Downpipe and muffler Delete.
You should swich off the "cat heating" and will not be noise when start the car! You can see in my profile the video how it works

So just to clarify, N20 downpipe does not fit on an N26 because the bracket holding doesn't line up with the bolts?

My n55 2015 performance edition is way louder when it's hot... I don't know why
this is a stock exhaust?
Also, catless downpipes tend to give off unburnt gas fumes in the cabin because thats just the way they are. I also have a lot of fumes but they go away as i drive but come when im driving with sport mode on.

Why does your car sound different from mine
Shumile if you know your vin, you can do a vin decode and that'll tell you what engine you've got. Mines an N20. N26 is a super ultra low emissions vehicle since California has strict emissions regulations.
It is called SULEV, and I believe he has the N26 engine
yeah, we know its n26 as Shumile said in the video and we know the n26 is a super ultra low emissions vehicle, as i stated above. I was giving him an answer to finding the engine other than opening up the hood.

Hey dude I've watched this video like 4 times and I just caught something I missed. You say going catless causes a check engine light unless you get a tune for it? Or once you go catless there's no way around having the check engine light on?
Unless you get a flash tune, you can only hide the CEL or have the Computer read the o2 sensor isnt ready. Bootmod3 and RK Tunes both take care of the actual light itself, versus JB4 which pretty much just keeps it off so you dont have to see it, but the code can still be seen with jb4. This is to my understanding

Lambada fooler sensor will fool the Engine and simply no check eng 😜
That's why you should buy from a trusted source, spend more on quality and proper fitment. Also your catalytic converter isn't there to silence your exhaust its there to burn waste fuel, removing it wont add 20-30 hp either unless you get the proper tune.

As an FYI, these are junk. The turbo mount is too large and must be grinded down to fit. This is a well known and documented issue for the N26. The alignment brackets are also not aligned. Horrible product. Yes, you do experience faster spoolup.
