I was very happy that they included the guidebook. It was the perfect idea to ensure Vol 14 closed as the last 100% Miura book.
If this line is discontinued, at least the entire Miura run was collected in Deluxe format.
And for the fans out there who are not interested in the new chapters, they also get the chance to have a “final book”.
Still a bit sad that they didn't put Chapter 83 in the extras. I know it's not cannon, I know Miura didn't want it in the original story... but it's still part of his work, and it could have been added as a bonus with a disclaimer... like the answer that he gave to a fan on why he removed it.

Absolutely... I printed my own version, but I wish it was part of the actual book. It would have been only few more pages as extras content.
Maybe they can add that towards the ending when Griffith reflecting his past like a flash back
@@JR5745 I hope Kouji Mori is going to reimplement the chapter 1 on 1 during a flashback scene too. That has been in my thoughts as well.
BUT we don't know. I just wanted it added already. That scene seems to explain certain things. Even the symbol of the holy see has a spiral going down from the bird it holds on top.
This is my most anticipated release. I intentionally did not red the final chapters because I wasn't in the right mind and just couldn't process Miura's death but I'm ready to now to bid goodbye to a true legend.

For those unaware, Koji Mori is the mangaka overseeing berserk along with studio gaga now. I have faith that he will do a good job considering he was a really close friend of miura, and is also an amazing mangaka in his own right (hopefully one day we get holyland licensed!). He wrote a oneshot on his thoughts after Miura passed which I highly recommend reading

Wow, what a journey it has been collecting these. I’ve been collecting the deluxe editions since Vol 1 dropped in March of 2019 during my first year of College and that’s how I’ve discovered your channel. I’ve graduated now, and I’m thankful for the journey and memories I’ve had collecting these books, reading them snd seeing your overviews. Thanks Omar and RIP Kentaro Miura.
Thanks Omar, as always. I can’t even lie, Berserk, and these deluxe editions changed my life. I was not into owning comics or anything like that. I was just a nerd that loved anime. But this manga opened up a whole new world to me. It is a work of art unlike any other.
It's bittersweet finally getting this deluxe edition, but so nice as well, especially for everyone who's been collecting it since the first one came out. For it to contain such a monumental moment really makes for a meaningful finish to Miura's work, even if it isn't a true ending. Rest in piece miura

I’m not personally a big manga fan (other than this, Junji Ito, and Tsutomo Nihei) for various reasons, but I have all 13 of the previous deluxe editions and am getting this one. This is just a great story, even if you don’t generally enjoy most manga.
I can’t wait to get this volume. These deluxe editions are the most volumes I have collected of any single series. I will look forward to how they continue this story but it will always be bittersweet.

pero también hubiera querido que saquen el tomo 42 pero igual esta bien porque ahora en adelante el Volumen 15 sera por parte de Kouji Mori, Kentaro Miura lo dio todo y fue perfecto es mi manga favorito y se que su amigo va a continuar bien la Historia Rest in Peace.
Just finished vol. 9 and ready to jump to vol. 10 right after Monster-sized Hellboy. It's my first time read through and it became my favorite manga and one of my favorite stories of all time including novels, comics, movies, TV shows, etc. I even tottoed the Brand of Sacrifice.
Miura had a way to make the reader cry with a drawing of a face expression, no need for words, it's... I don't know... It feels like he can reach your soul...
I think is fair for all the artists involved in the project to continue and finish this masterpiece. We fans like to believe that these were his last pages but probably Miura's assistants were already playing a bigger role than we think even before his death on the back of the multiple number of hiatuses the years before his passing, with several of them having been attributed to health issues. Regardless of how the assistants decide to finish it, fans will probably complain because we all have a different ending in our minds. From my side, I have just want to enjoy the new volumes with an open mind.

Studio Gaga is doing a great job continuing the story, but it will never be the same. RIP Miura
I'm honestly glad that Berserk is continuing because that cliffhanger leaves the series with so many unanswered questions. Who is Skull Knight? Can Guts control the Berserker Armor or will he be fully consumed by the Beast Of Darkness? Will Griffith's kingdom fall? I want this story to finish.

I'm so glad Muira got to write and draw Casca and Guts reuniting. That alone made the journey worth it. RIP to greatest of all time.
Hoped it'll have some extra stuff like worldwide all vol41 special editions had (painting, engraved plate , huge poster, t-shirt). I know they said early on, that it'll have 40,41 and the guide, but they could've slap something to it.
I hope dark horse gets licenses for Miuras one shot stories. I’d LOVE a deluxe edition with JAPAN, King Of Wolves & duranki. Also it could include the prototype chapter of Berserk.

They have confirmed that the cover was done by mirua. And all of 364 was done by mirua aswell. So I don’t know what your talking about
It just looks different. Not making a conspiracy theory or anything. It could have been a different embellisher or different inks. That’s all.

Mori is doing an amazing job, and it is kinda ironic that a tragic story of friendship, is still alive thanks to friendship after a tragedy.

It is hard to say where Miura stops and his team begins. I am glad they are continuing it myself, if it ended on that scene on the beach, I would have lost my mind. Glad you got to enjoy this ride so far.

it was a good ride. never been replacing by anything even contunation of his ideas probably. more than manga not ending ı sad about hes is life past away younger without even marry and childs.when child return in final chapter ı think that hes imaginary child left. child present dead sometimes to something born others need to dead and exactly what feel like child comes with his dead. he basicly live like artist in prison voluntarily. kinda suprising even popularty of berserk not bring happyniess or partner his life. artist like this shoud be lived like rockstar. ı also worry about his religion aspect. his work in berserk present some simlarty on what in actual relegion like vison of hell things false good prophets to make world doom.but for ı know he was not beliaver like stubburn as guts. even we respect prey for him as muslim sad truth life like that have consequences like he drawn the bad things. knowing this reading those parts again almost like we branded with his dead like in the manga. and everytime try to read again its gonna bleed. it can be sound crazy but world will not end stroyies like berserk become appear. it was fiction today vision of tomorrow. this aspeckt of his work like comic book version of some relegious facts. maybe bcouse of that un explainable fear and wonder coming his work. he make god hands in manga maybe in a good way he was a god hand you never know. it almost felt like that.

Very disappointed with 14 so far, but that's kind of been the story since volume 11 or 12. I'm happy they're continuing Berserk, but there's one thing we're all waiting for: Guts and Griffith squaring off. There's far too much filler, meaningless fighting, and tangents that are drawing this story out far too long. For example, when the world is reborn, the next storyline is a "monster of the week" arc following a crew of pirates. It literally doesn't get any bigger than the rebirth of the world, but suddenly we're thrust back into a weak story arc that was a massive regression in stakes and magnitude. I'm getting tired of this.
Also, I don't care for the subtle art changes. Casca looks off, and it ruined some of her moments.
