I had kind of a tough childhood and when this song came out in 1991 ( I was 13 ) something about it really resonated deep inside me ; mere words cannot describe just what this song means to me ❤

One of my best memories - in that field, on a perfect summer evening, watching these guys. They have since said it's one of their favourite shows, so we kind of shared a great moment in our lives, which makes it all the more special.

Im so jealous that you got to see these guys! I wasn't even conceived in 99' so its kinda a shame... i really do think that i missed the best era of music, as all of the groups and singers around this time were and still are absolute class!

Best live singer- Michael Stipe- of all time, consistently.. Hes the GOAT. Seen a ton of R.E.M. and This video was a perfect display of how on point R.E.M. is at replicating each song.. Michael is emaciated here, sweating and looks uneasy.. Which is RARE AF for him!!!Somehow though, Michael nails this song haha hes got powers and possibly sorcery haha For real, These 3 are unsung heroes.. and he hung it up before he could embarass himself. It was time to quit sadly after 2 decades, Stipe became sad while singing towards the end of his Career.
Ill always have the utmost respect and gratitude towards R.E.M.

My dad went to UGA in the 80’s and saw these guys play for free at a field on campus. He had no idea that in just a year or so they’d be the biggest band in the world
