  • For many anglers, and bank anglers in particular, fishing for bass means having to cast into some pretty dense clumps of vegetation. What type of vegetation can matter, but usually the end result is the same: A hook covered completely in a sloppy mess. In this video we'll cover three different types of presentations that you can use for bass fishing that will come cleanly through even the thickest slop. And best of all, they're easy to use! These are three baits that easily come through the thickest slop! #fishing #bassfishing #bassbuggy

    Do you fish the thick slop? What are some of your favorite ways to do it?

    That swim jig is definitely my favorite. It works so well in that vegetation. What a great lure.

      It is certainly one of my biggest confidence baits. You can pretty much do anything with them

    That is some gnarly looking vegetation. I guess you'd have to have the right gear to fish it! Great video!

    I love me some bladed jigs, and they come through grass fine. They just don't come through anything else. Nothing hangs up worse, in my opinion. Wood, rock, fishing line, they are toast. Great breakdown of three great choices!

    That is an absolutely gorgeous lake! Very peaceful and serene looking. All the lakes by me have buildings or houses built up all around them.

      It really is a very beautiful lake for the most part. Sometimes there's too many boats on it for my liking, lol!

    All great options, fluke is another weedless bait. The new hover stroll baits the the Mylar minnow sinks super slow and would stay above the milfoil as long as you work it the right way.

      I am certainly a fan of a fluke style presentation!

    That is a really big difference in the water levels! Doesn't doing that have a bad effect on the fish or does it even bother them at all?

    • @LowBrowFishing
      @LowBrowFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't really hurt the fish. They have pockets where they go go and wait out the winter. The purpose of the draw down is the kill the hydrilla back. I prefer that over them spraying some sort of chemical.

    Vegetation? Here in Florida that’s considered a clear pond. 6” thick mats of algae that will gunk up any lure other than a frog on top. The mats are so thick it the frog won’t generate any vibration even if you pop down hard. If the bass aren’t hitting frogs…you’re just SOL. And these mats circle the border around the entire pond. It’s quite frustrating to fish when it’s like this. I’ve ran everything over the top. Zero bites. Of course the Senko gets me some catches…but I’m forced to fish more open water passed the scum, and pop it out of the water to avoid the 1lb glop of scum you’ll get on any lure you’re using.😮

    Chatter bait through thick slop? No I don’t think so… spinner baits work far better coming through grass

    • @LowBrowFishing
      @LowBrowFishing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Actually, a bladed jig works exceptionally well in thick slop. I much prefer them over a spinnerbait in the slop.
