Good videos Adam. Just a tip for you. It's impossible to change how stiff a spring is by altering the coilover. Whether it's compressed to half it's size or left full size the spring rate will stay the same. If the shocks have adjustment you can alter that to soften or stiffen the ride.
Adam, nice motors mate 👍 2 things that will massively help you out in the long run and cost next to fu k all to do....... 1.Remove the boot spoiler and clean up the boot lid and apply fresh sealant when refitting. The spoiler is a water trap do it before it rusts out far enough it appears from under the spoiler. You may be lucky and the seal has not failed yet but trust me it will. 2. Remove the front mudflaps and check for corrosion behind them where they are bolted onto the inner wing. Again easy to clean up and seal then refit the mudflaps but once it corrodes through its new wings unless it gets through to the sills in which case welding aswell. These are terrible for picking up road dirt and the vibration of the mudflaps acts like sand paper between the flap and the bodywork. You wont know its an issue until it bubbles through the paintwork. Edit: the rear mudflaps are ok because they are fixed to the plastic rear bumper 👍
I Put a full set of these on a stock e36 318ti with the interior stripped and put in a respectable 9.36 round the ring. Excellent value for money no complaints from me either👍🏻
Nice little video Adam, made me laugh a couple of times 😂 Interested to see some real world feedback on these coilovers. I don't really see the need to spend huge money on parts for a name, as long as they do the job and don't fall to bits, they'll be good for me. It's not like you're trying to set a lap record at the nurburgring or anything
I fitted the same brand coilovers to my 93 WRX 2 years ago. They are still going great, never let me down and well worth the money. They are built solid. Word of warning they are very very stiff and have little spring adjustability. However great for track days and smooth roads. And the price is just unbeatable as they are cheaper than stock suspension!
The noise of the trolley Jack being dragged across the floor is enough to wake the dead! You do make me laugh though, don’t take yourself too seriously which Is refreshing these days👍
I think you’ve got your fronts on opposite sides, the camber adjustment plates on the top shouldn’t be pointing towards the front, they should be pointing straight across the front axle
Adam your meant to check the pre load on them before fitting mate. Then figure out how much damping adjustment is needed and rebound if they have that once fitted, probably 4 to 5 clicks at the rear 5-7 at the front.
Adam the top adjustment is for the spring tension no expert but got Bc coilovers on my supercharged Gt86 Mine were set so I’ve left them alone !lower locking nut for the adjustment of height ! Top plates with Alen keys for camber for tipping wheels in or out depending on wheel spec 😉
I’ve got Pedders xtreme coilovers on my Forester STI and they work really well, don’t know anyone that’s used them coilovers but they do look good, I’ll be looking forward to the next vid to see how they are doing, oh and I’ve got a Peroni on the go too 🤘
I Adam another good video mate ...and fair play doing it yourself it's all about learning 👍oh and ya jack sounds like you trod on a dog's paw lol ..keep em coming .
Afternoon Adam, your motor looks mint and I’m tempted to get one . When I had my first mid life crisis I got a brand new focus ST, but it was close between a Subaru and the ST , so my second mid life crisis I might just get one 😂
Had my bugeye 12 years now. There's a reason I've kept it so long 😏 Unstoppable in the snow. With the tyres Adam has he can pay for the car by using it for recovery.
Nice little mod, you made it look very easy!! Is there anyway to adjust the damping, via that bolt on top of the shock maybe? That should eliminate any 'bounce'?😎👍
Looks like these are non adjust ones. On their site they show adjustable ones for the same money so shame not to have got them. They look a bit under damped by the bouncing.
When you've sorted the ride height I'd recommend getting your tracking and camber checked. Dropping the car will give negative camber and eat ya tyres. Good video though 👍
Loving the scoob addition.....a car I’ve always threatened to own!!! Think it would cause unrest in the family and the neighbourhood 😂.....and for that it makes me think fuck it, I’ll buy one 😊😂 keep up the videos 👍🏼, you may tempt me to follow in your footsteps!
Yes your adjusting the preload but usually you run them with the preload set by the manufacture, it’s bouncy becouse there cheap lol. Also the topmounts on the front need spun around as you won’t be able to adjust the camber correctly
The filming and cut always on this is genius. If you’ve filmed this yourself it’s outstanding. Refreshing YA NAHH HA WAY MAN, GAN GET JEFF FROM DOON THA GROVE 😜✌🏻
Great video enjoy watching your videos are you sure your impact wrench is 600nm has I've got a ryobi impact wrench 400nm and that takes any bolt off that I've used it for and done alot of suspension work with it
Alright Adam thought I’d let you know in the garrison garage in Aldershot I walked in there a 3 door mint barn find apparently shipped back from Greece! But it has no engine!
Nice set up just need your tracking doing now,you have change the suspension. Unless you are going to fit poly brushes all round first. Then have it set up.
Hahaha I was bummed for you when you started trying to remove the trunk lining. So easy to remove the seats IMO it's just 5 big bolts total. The strut bolts are torqued to around 150 ft-lbs so they are tight tight. Still holding up?
Just adding my two cents worth. Surely the bouncy ride is due to the damper not being effective enough in relation to the spring rate. Can you adjust the damper?. Also those Snow tyres are lethal. Two of my Mates years ago bought snow tyres cheap. One had a right off crash days later in the rain and the other had a massive spin out at a speed that his car would normally easily take a local corner at.
Don't rely on a battery operated spanner on important things. Use a torque wrench. Also, an old mechanic's tip for you - if something very tight is not undoing, turn it a flat tighter. 98% of the time it'll free it.
Hi I think you have the shockers fitted incorrectly Adam the camber adjustments on the front struts should be able to e adjusted side to side rather than front to rear.
pretty sure they are the same as what my mate had and one litreally snapped . dont really understand cheaping out on stuff like that for a decent car .
Considering getting a set of these for my 05 WRX, in a perfect world yeah I’d properly drop £800-£1K on some top brand coil overs but I’m on a budget but want to keep it sensible & safe. Be into see a follow on video a month or so later with them bed in.
aresblue after looking into them a little more I think I might do the same thing, yeah my stock suspension is pretty worn but I’m gonna take the ride for another few months & get a set of Tein for £500 also. I guess I’m trying to walk the line of price vs quality & this isn’t something to cheap out on.
@@MrMichaelNoble no definitly not,I weighed up price over quality, glad I did I got the tein flex z for mine,my stock suspension collapsed at the back whilst I was driving so I had to make a decision sharpish lol.i got mine from demon tweeks, they do 0% finance 👍
aresblue my trouble is I’m impatient, I’ve got that rear suspension rattle & squeak & it seems to have been repaired at some point in it life but I can live with it for a little longer, ooh, do they ? I’ll go have a look at that right now. Thanks buddy.
Dude your camber adjustment needs to be set at 90degrees to the car... geometry will be messed up properly... wind them down a bit too, still too high. Good content though..
Spray some of that lithium grease on the trolley jack. Sounds like a seal begging for a fish. 😜
👍🤣😂🤣😅😆
😂
quality 😂
lol
😂
All that grease on your suspension but none on the poor old trolley jack 😅🤣
Bloody hell I used to own that car !!! Bought in 2007 as standard, re- mapped by Prosport Stockport in 2008 sold it in 2010
Hahaha small world.

It's higher than when it started lol!! I put these on a lupo a while back and in fairness there was no complaints especially for the money!!
That made me laugh 😆
I Put a full set of these on a stock e36 318ti with the interior stripped and put in a respectable 9.36 round the ring. Excellent value for money no complaints from me either👍🏻
I'm glad these videos are back, I've missed watching you do little jobs on the car
Nice little video Adam, made me laugh a couple of times 😂
Interested to see some real world feedback on these coilovers. I don't really see the need to spend huge money on parts for a name, as long as they do the job and don't fall to bits, they'll be good for me. It's not like you're trying to set a lap record at the nurburgring or anything
You did exactly what I did when a rear shock burst on my Impreza, stripped the boot out looking for the top mountings!!
I fitted the same brand coilovers to my 93 WRX 2 years ago. They are still going great, never let me down and well worth the money. They are built solid. Ryan Jon yeah. I noticed when I was putting the rears on. They’re correct now. 😊👍🏼
Had a Scooby wrx for about 7 years, loved it but working on it was always a pain in the ass lol. All the best wi yours mate.
What an end to a crappy Tuesday, nice one pal 👍👍
Quality, Adam back messing about with cars absolutely love it 👍
Front top mounts are fitted 120 degrees out. To the suspension turrets
“Boob Bounce” 😂 Another banger mate 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Another nice video Adam!! Just that scooby to the deck!!
Car will look sick once you get a new set of rims mate! Came across your videos a couple weeks back and think the channel is brilliant👌
Thanks Adam, you have cheered me up down in Huddersfield.
Your welcome Steve 😊
Also watching from Huddersfield well (Liversedge)
Watching from MIrfield Huddersfield fellas. Love watching Adam, he doesn’t give a f**k and has a go at anything can only respect that.
Give them a few months and they will be rattlin like a junkie on a monday outside boots.
😅
Made perfect sense good video thanks for the content can’t wait to see the wheels
Your doing everything rite for a car youtuber great Chanel
I ran some of these on my mk1 vrs and for the price, you really can't grumble I never found an issue with them
Adam your meant to check the pre load on them before fitting mate. Then figure out how much damping adjustment is needed and rebound if they have that once fitted, probably 4 to 5 clicks at the rear 5-7 at the front.

Mine were set so I’ve left them alone !lower locking nut for the adjustment of height !
Top plates with Alen keys for camber for tipping wheels in or out depending on wheel spec 😉
the camber adjustment shocks go on the front,,,,and when fitting the adjusters go horizontal to each other
That might explain why the rear is so bouncy. Must have the springs designed to carry the weight of the engine on the rear?
😂😂😂
Love watching your videos, I ain’t into fords or Scoobys but still really enjoy your enthusiasm 😎👍
good luck with them coilovers..........
hope you get it set up to your liking mate, lets see all your adjustments.
That Jack noise done me lol 😂😂 nice one Adam.
Jack sounds like a knackered old goose.
New around here enjoying the content mate I’m actually buying some of these cheap coilovers so it’s good to see
Quality this... Had a good giggle, Thanks Adam :) If you want the shockers to last get some shocker or coilover sox
I’ve got Pedders xtreme coilovers on my Forester STI and they work really well, don’t know anyone that’s used them coilovers but they do look good, I’ll be looking forward to the next vid to see how they are doing, oh and I’ve got a Peroni on the go too 🤘

I would mate. 100%. I did 😁
Had my bugeye 12 years now. There's a reason I've kept it so long 😏
Unstoppable in the snow. With the tyres Adam has he can pay for the car by using it for recovery.
Such an easy guy to watch
Always like watching Adams videos
Thanks David
You can't hear them rattle if your not driving them
Leave the jack alone, if it ain't broke don't fix it... 😂😂💪

The lesser spotted Supermarket special Subaroooo.
Sort your jack out You Filled it with Seagull Oil 😂😂
My dogs went ape shit every time he jacked the car up 🤣
hahaha
Loving this channel now
Good luck with these. Cheap items usually fail prematurely due to fitting or driver error. Be interesting to see how they fare.
Nice little mod, you made it look very easy!! Is there anyway to adjust the damping, via that bolt on top of the shock maybe? That should eliminate any 'bounce'?😎👍
The preload (stiffness) for the shocks are adjusted at the strut tops mate.
Looks like these are non adjust ones. On their site they show adjustable ones for the same money so shame not to have got them. They look a bit under damped by the bouncing.
I had to go buy a 800ft lb DEWALT impact yesterday to get my strut bolts out lol.
class adam great upload as per mate
How are the coilovers going mate ? Any issues? only just started watching your channel loving the 1liners keep it up mate.
Good video Adam nice that u don't take things to serious 🤣
U seemed to have am easier time putting them on compared to t hassle I had putting them on my e46 🤣 happy days Adam pal
Cover the threads in denso tape mate been doing it for years and it works a treat.
When you've sorted the ride height I'd recommend getting your tracking and camber checked. Dropping the car will give negative camber and eat ya tyres. Good video though 👍
Need that lithium on your Jack it’s like blackboard chalk to mi ears
Loving the scoob addition.....a car I’ve always threatened to own!!! Think it would cause unrest in the family and the neighbourhood 😂.....and for that it makes me think fuck it, I’ll buy one 😊😂 keep up the videos 👍🏼, you may tempt me to follow in your footsteps!

Not sure but I think Subaru rear jacking point is under the diff, another great video by the way.👍
Great video enjoy watching your videos are you sure your impact wrench is 600nm has I've got a ryobi impact wrench 400nm and that takes any bolt off that I've used it for and done alot of suspension work with it
that jack sounds like the hinge on her indoors purse !
Alright Adam thought I’d let you know in the garrison garage in Aldershot I walked in there a 3 door mint barn find apparently shipped back from Greece! But it has no engine!
Loving the scooby vids wind then down a bit but needs more lows
Adam the shocks with camber adjustment goes in the front Not in the rear
Once you put gold wheels on that car it will look amazing you will not believe the transformation
Tune the scooby too 1000hp Adam.. 🤠
They look top notch
Nice set up just need your tracking doing now,you have change the suspension. Unless you are going to fit poly brushes all round first. Then have it set up.
Never even thought of the tracking 😭I’ll get that sorted John 👍🏼
Hahaha I was bummed for you when you started trying to remove the trunk lining. So easy to remove the seats IMO it's just 5 big bolts total. The strut bolts are torqued to around 150 ft-lbs so they are tight tight. Still holding up?
That must drive like a second hand Asda trolley now? Get that suspension properly installed, cambers set and corner weighted please.
Nice one Adam
Just adding my two cents worth. Surely the bouncy ride is due to the damper not being effective enough in relation to the spring rate. Can you adjust the damper?. Also those Snow tyres are lethal. 1 months top mount rattle will start those shocks are shocking
Front shocks are wrong way round, camber adjustments need to move in/ out etc :)
That jack sounds like a bed on a one night stand

Scooby looking good Adam, what wheels did you decide on? 😁👍
can't wait to see how this build will end up buddy
Love the Scooby content Adam 👌
You need to get some WD-40 on that trolley Jack Adam or your neighbours will be thinking you're attacking seagulls in the garden
With my max speed racing rods I took my rear adjusters out and she was decked out
Be interesting to see how these hold up. I nearly got some for my e46 but found a low mileage set of hsd's I couldn't say no too.
Looking good mate wos going to buy some coilovers for my 2004 mg as but they were about £700 🤪🤪 so maybe not lol loving the scooby wrx
Mint video mate great content even for a mackem lol
You can never have enough grease, wise words 😳
Hi I think you have the shockers fitted incorrectly Adam the camber adjustments on the front struts should be able to e adjusted side to side rather than front to rear.
Que tal con el tiempo se estropearon mucho con óxido?valen la pena?
Looks well tidy that scobby Adam.put some wd 40 on that Jack while your at it 😂.
😂👍🏼
I think you've put the front on the back and the back on the front
pretty sure they are the same as what my mate had and one litreally snapped . dont really understand cheaping out on stuff like that for a decent car .
Tasty this scooby Adam pal. 80% off
Considering getting a set of these for my 05 WRX, in a perfect world yeah I’d properly drop £800-£1K on some top brand coil overs but I’m on a budget but want to keep it sensible & safe. Be into see a follow on video a month or so later with them bed in.
Wouldn't waste your money on them, cheap crap....I nearly bought a set because they were cheap but went for tein in the end, glad I did.
aresblue after looking into them a little more I think I might do the same thing, yeah my stock suspension is pretty worn but I’m gonna take the ride for another few months & get a set of Tein for £500 also. I had a mk 2 honda crx that used to give me boob bounce, I had to adjust dampening to solve it not sure if yours is same problem
Dude your camber adjustment needs to be set at 90degrees to the car... geometry will be messed up properly... wind them down a bit too, still too high. Good content though..
whats with the pans on the pallet next to your gates?
Got maxspeedrods coilovers on me civic they are really good
