Hi guys, another great wee video. Brilliant turn & paint job. If I were to do one then I don't think I'd be able to cope as that would be 2 witches in my house. 😮 Guess you can tell that she's in another room just now 😅. Keep well and stay safe 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Cracking video mate looks awesome and well done on the paint liza. Oh oh safety police alert not stopping lathe to change blanks 😮😮😂 bloody keyboard warriors. If possible at some point when you do another talky talky video could you do a beginner things to get. I was internet browsing last few days and there's so much i have an idea of most of what is needed for new turners but think it could help people 🤔👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hi Michael, haven't seen any safety police yet. Give them time, I'm sure they'll be there. You're the first to mention it. Chatty vid coming soon. As for what is needed, it depends on what you want to do.

@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 awesome looking forward to the chatty video. am surprised maybe they've decided to leave you alone now which would be nice. Nothing to specific but like I've said need another chuck but then it's do I buy a kit or single jaws I saw some kinda support wheel that holds things round while it's on the lathe. My main one is similar to what you've shown on the channel so far small bowls/plates potentially pens bud vases etc. What I do with the other side of the business gives me allot of scraps but live edge off cuts so with having the 1 3.75 inch chuck I feel gonna need a smaller one but again I don't no if any this make sense. I have the drill adaptor and couple cone centers aswell as couple prong centers I no you've mentioned steb centers. More thinking like a beginners buying guide to what's needed after weve bought lathe and your carbides if any that makes sense if not I'll keep picking up the tips your giving out. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🤦

You had me laughing. I watched your swept back roughing gouge. So I got a high speed steel one off Amazon and found it would not fit my Tormek or wolverine jigs, so I had to make your sharpening for pennies jig. So watching this video I was going to comment on why you always use the U shaped roughing gouge and not the swept back one. Watching further in the video you pulled out your swept back gouge. It was like you were reading my mind Ha ha. Liza does a great job painting them.

Thanks for giving it a go to make your own jig. Hope it works well for you. Thank you Bruce.

Welcome to the channel. Thanks for watching. Buy as big a lathe as you can for your money. Personally, you would get more for your money buying second hand. Look for one with variable speed. Buying new, you won't get much for your money.
