- Unboxing and test of Gotek USB Floppy Emulator. After unboxing of two floppies, the emulator is installed on Korg Pa50 musical keyboard arranger synth, where it worked perfectly. This is 1000 disc version where one thousand floppy disks can be emulated on a single 2 GB Flash drive.

I really needed to see how you copied the sound files onto the USB stick... Can you tell me please? will this work on Apple operating system or only windows and what version? Thank you for your help
I used Windows and there is another video, where I show how it is done for 1000 floppies!
For single discs it will work fine on Apple. For more discs, you need special tools which are mostly available for Windows.
do you know if it matters which gotek you buy or are they all the same more or less and will work with both Roland samplers, Korg, Yamaha etc as long as you can change the floppy?
I used the old Gotek and it works fine. I also have the newer Gotek with the rotating knob, which has more memory, but didn't had the time to test it yet.

How do I install the GOTEK emulator on the Korg i3 keyboard?
Did you need to put jumpers on usb emulator in certain position or just use how they are set in factory?
I didn't switch the jumpers. I left them as they came, but be sure to check if your jumpers configuration arrived differently.
@@Hirudov thanks for reply .. I saw two jumpers .. one on second line .. second connecting cross last two lines .. looks like white gotek emulators have one jumper on second row .. black two jumpers one on second line .. other on last two rows ...

hola buenas tardes, lamento que te moleste, pero lo estoy buscando, compre un emulador usb para mi piano casio ctk-811ex, con su cd de configuración, pero no tiene las instrucciones para configurarlo en casio, solo en Yamaha, y mire su tutorial donde muestra que si funciona en un casio, ¿podría aclararme cómo configurarlo en un casio ctk-811ex, y finalmente hay un comandante de ritmo para el formato casio (smf)? Gracias por su atención y gracias. y como iran los pines de atrás los puentes.

Hej, tack för videon om Gotek. Jag köpte Gotek men det kom ingen disk med mjukvaran så jag kan inte kopiera Operativ system till Korg PA 80 på USB. Kan du skicka information om hur jag ska gå tillväga med detta. Tacksam för svar.
Om du inte har programvaran kan du fortfarande formatera USB-enheten som en diskett. Använd sedan Gotek som en enhet på 1,44 MB-format.

My question is can you save the user memory to the usb emulator?
Because everytime i open my keyboard it says Backup error and it reset all data from my keyboard even the user memory
The USB emulator acts like real floppy. The synth sees no difference, so you can make backups.
I'm having a very hard time trying to get it to work in my Korg X3 keyboard. I put the usb in the Gotek,,hold the 2 buttons and turn on. It goes to 999. I turn keyboard off and put the usb into my computer. I have the cd that came with the Gotek. No idea what to do next?

Try with another Gotek drive and/or USB Flash drive.
@@Hirudov does it matter how much gb are on the usb stick?
I believe the limit is 2gb but not 100% but if you have larger than this and its not working then check with 2gb@@slooky14
where did you get the gotek from?

I have build in a Gotek in my Korg IS40............. nothing is hapend. I put same files in the USB but he can not see the stick.

I have a KORG pa 50 with floppy disk. I want to get it replaced with pen drive system. How to do, kindly suggest me
Just replace the floppy drive with Gotek drive and that's it, as shown in the video
Only replacing will do or software also need to be uploaded
Only replacement of the floppy drive was needed for my Korg. Check my other video for how to manage the floppies.
