- I always get asked how I manage to fly with my spearguns when travelling to different countries for spearfishing trips. It's fairly straightforward and in this video I go through how I pack for a trip with my series 2 Sportube.

Hello Bro I am your avid supporter here in the Philippines can I asking you what you should recommend for me a good diving mask thank you for your reply in advance take care always 🙏🐟🎣🎣
Any mask that fits and is comfortable is the best one for you.
@@DanielMann ah ok bro i always watching your video
Pool noodles (cheap) make great cushioning inside SportTubes. In this case, they can keep the speargun from banging around or keep sharp/metal items from damaging other equipment. They are very cheap and you can always leave them at your destination if you fill the voids for the return trip.
The video , like always, is of high quality, smooth, informative, and without any nonsense. Like it.
I say family snorkeling gear. Also be mindful of Indonesia, depending on who you get going into Bali they can confiscate spearguns. I don't bring mine there, instead I order a new timber gun 1 month prior to going and get it delivered to the airport. It's not a problem buying one there and bringing it back. Andre make good guns, there are a couple of smaller groups that make them as well.
Nice tip
I’ve never heard of this happening before and have flown into Bali with spearguns maybe 15 times over the past year alone. I think maybe they had a strict policy in the past that no longer exists?
@@AquaticApesthanks for confirming that! I’m about to head to Bali with 3 guns. Are you keen for a dive Leonard? I pm’d you on Insta 🤙🏼
Andre guns are the best, really good. Shoot, that’s too bad they hold up spear guns in Bali. It’s such a rad place and as well, I can see the customs people being super random.
I've landed in Bali plenty of times from other Asian countries and never ever had issues bringing in multiple guns. Perhaps 10-15 years ago, there were a few stories like this, but since I began going there, I haven't heard of this happening.
You have to be mindful about transferring in either HK or Singapore - especially if you can't check in your luggage all the way.
Nice tip. "Underwater fishing equipment". Next my real gun becomes a "fast action projectile thrower". Thanks man!!!! A real bomb becomes a "noisy material scatterer."
I appreciate these videos SO MUCH. I got my sportube a couple years ago because of your previous vid. I did the basic packing strat you did but that fin technique would have made it even easier. Plus the AirTag is perfect! Thank you.
Solid video, love seeing the AK freediver sticker on the sport tube.
Thanks Daniel. You are a wealth of "GOOD" information, hope you have a Great trip and keep safe my friend
That’s awesome, great video. I remember taking my gear down to Central America and saying exactly “under water fishing equipment,” or “fishing device,” and having that work well🤿 . That worked perfect on the borders of Belize and Mexico.
Sweet Daniel, it pays to be vague. Same way as we do for submittals for house architecture here in California. We know our craft well, and have to guide those who don’t know how to handle the gear. 🙌🏽🌌👌🏽
Good to know about some first hand experience in Central America. Lots of fish in that part of the world I hear.
The ending is spot on. Took a minute of explaning in Sardinia a few weeks ago that I don't have any compressed air after saying it was diving equipment.
Flying from Mexico to the US you need to put weights in your check bag. Have not had any problems elsewhere. I have a sportube series 3 (snowboard width) which gives you a bit more room. Definitely recommend for 2 divers. I also like to put any loose items like knife, float line, gloves, socks in a thin soft bag then put it in the sportube. If they end up opening it up I don't want to lose a glove or something. Does not maximize space though.
What about going through customs with the speargun? have you had any issues when crossing the border?
Just traveled back home to ireland for the first time with my spearo gear, packed it all into my golf travel bag wrapped around the clubs😅. Definitely picking up a sportube for next time.
Golfing bags are pretty robust to be fair!
I use a golf bag and really like it. Mine came with a telescoping pole if you want to keep the bag even more rigid. The only real limitation would be gun length. Nothing over a 80-90 cm gun unless you want to dissemble the handle, mussle, etc. Also, much more volume, especially if you pack it with lighter stuff like clothes. But the biggest drawback is gun length if you need.
@@DanielMannvery true, it did a good job in fairness
@@calvinh208luckily i was just bringing a 90cm gun, barely fit but i made it by the skin of my teeth
Love your videos man! Love not only following your trips, but watching your editing skills continually improve as well!
I appreciate that!
@@DanielMann Hi Daniel. Thanx for great videos 😎 You got me hooked on spearfishing here in Danmark and I LOVE it.
I am plannig to buy a camera for underwater filming. Could you make video about your gear? It would be very helpfull.😃💪
Denmark is fantastic for spearfishing, I miss it a lot! A video about my dive gear or camera gear?
@@DanielMann
I was thinking about your camera gear 🙂I think I have noticed that you switched from gopro to DJI Action. Is that right? I would like to film underwater like you and I would like to hear what you use, how and why. I would be a great help in decision making about what to buy. I love your videos. Keep them coming 👍🙂🐟
greetings from Philippines man! 🇵🇭
I've gone and done just this. Thanks Dan you're the Mann!
Love that you have Dimo's Spearfishing Life Sticker on it! I have them on my gear too!
For all my trips I’ve been having the diving belt around my waist, and with one of those more strict airlines, a jacket over
I guess it doesn’t matter what you do once you get past security as they determine what can and can’t go through.
I wish I had seen this video one month earlier!! I had to do it without advice...the weights at the bottom tip is actually very useful...I learned it the thought way :(
Thanks Daniel! Very didactic video
Just did a trip from Sydney to the Tuamotus using a fishing semi rigid rod holder that was exentible to get 2 spearguns into. Hard to get sportube's cheapo in Oz but will keep an eye out for one. The speargun handles were taken off and they fitted perfectly. Had all my other dive stuff in a dive bag.
In French Polynesia they don't really care, people just had spearguns wrapped in bin bags going on the flights but on the international flights back I was clear it was 'fishing equipment' and that was fine. Never mention the g word. 😃
Just got back from Bali with the AirTag in the tube, worked really well. If you want to fix the tag more permanently into the tube you can piggy back a couple cable ties and feed them through the rear handle (it’s hollow) to form a loop and slide the air tag through. Bit dicky but if you need to pack/re-pack the tube I found it makes things simpler.
Oh and btw, I do have the same “sportube” like you but orange and black, it is so helpful in keeping your guns safe and out of danger of getting damaged
Mann, you're the MAN!!
I once put my weights in my carry on and the airport security said I needed to check them because they were a "weapon"... Gotta love airport security logic.
I guess it depends on the airport. I normally take them out of the bag and put them on the scanner tray so they can see them easily on the weight belt.
I had 2 2 pound weights in my carry on a couple.of years ago.... security wanted to look at them but allowed me to take them. I.left them at my destination for future use. I guess it depends on each security person. Great video again Daniel.....thanks for all the tips @@DanielMann
I used the word "gun" and quickly realized I have made a mistake. I also use bag for ski equipment but it is a soft bag, so I leave my shaft in the gun to protect it. Great video!
It’s always a problem 🤣
Love it mate! Gonna need one of these for that next UK trip
Super helpful! Off to Greece next week and been figuring out how to take my kit.
Good luck! Never had any issues travelling to Greece with spearfishing equipment.
Thanks for the good information
For people such as myself who can't find a used sportube for cheap, try looking for travel golf bags. Look for the rigid kind. You won't get one long enough for a big gun, but for shorter guns/spears a golf bag is typically fine and comes a lot cheaper used.
Thank you so much, this is very inspiring and the best solution ever 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Very helpful! Where are you heading next? I am going to Barcelona in a weeks time. Starting my own Dentex journey...
Hopefully your journey is shorter than mine Fred! Many places but next that is booked is Spain for world championships.
hahahaha the "do NOT mention the word gun" was pretty helpful
Thanks for making our lifes easier
Great video fella.. I had a weight belt confiscated by customs in Perth, WA.. I told them the same, that anything can be used as a weapon but they weren't letting me take it 😂
Australians love rules. One thing I hate about the place! Sometimes being right gets in the way of common sense. Did you just ditch the lead and keep the belt?
@@DanielMann funny thing is, you'll struggle to hear an Oz accent in Perth Airport, most staff seem to be from North England 🤣😂 I was so thrown by it all I just walked away.. Belt gone with the weights...
I’m stuck with three Rob Allen guns in a sports tube in Bali at the moment, they took them at customs claiming they’re firearms. I used chat GPT to find the definition of a firearm under Indonesian law and it is classified as a firearm, if they want to get you they can. Going to the airport for the third day in a row, an hour by scooter each way 😂
That sounds like a nightmare, I just went and opted not to bring guns because results seem to vary. Hope you get your “fishing equipment” back
@@nathanwright9089 I think they’re getting ready hard on guns atm, it’s the shafts that are the problem, if you don’t bring a shaft, you’ll probably be ok.. I managed to get $1400 back on $1800 worth of gear
Kiwi please update on what happened to your Rob allens!😊
I think Balinese are just looking for the money, you should offer 50-100 dollar and you should get the stuff back. At least my exp. Was like, got to pay 400 dollar for over weight, could negotiate it down to 200...as they saw the money all was well.. Good luck
Funny how times change. I flew back from Europe with a rebreather and spare cylinders several years ago and no one cared. My plan was to open the valves to show they were empty, especially the oxygen ones, but no one asked.
Another great daniel mann video
Glad you enjoyed it
My advice I would tack onto this would be, if you have a trigger handle like the Meandros B28 with the plastic sticky outie bits on it… and there’s a risk of it being snapped off.. like mine did, then wrap it in bubble wrap as well.
Thanks for the advice.
Great presentation; very helpful. Thanks!!
Another great informative video! thanks for sharing Daniel!
My pleasure!
Such a good video with very important information! Good job.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you that was a pretty helpful. Liked that you kept it short
Glad it was helpful!
@@DanielMann i could say this about so many of your videos, just thought i'd comment for once 🤣👍
Appreciate you taking the time 😊
Have the larger sportube and its always overweight about 60-65 lbs as much as $100-120 each way but it gets everything there . I put my weights in first so the reels don’t get smashed . Great idea with the AirTag!!
Off to Norway the whole of August and It’s my birthday so thanks for the well timed video Mr Mann. XL 7mm wetsuit will be a squeeze but I’m sure it’ll fit 👍🏻
Sounds dreamy, hope you get on to some whoppers!
Wow the AirTag is a great tip! I’m 100% going to get one for that
TSA unpacked/inspected my sporttube at the airport a few weeks ago and one of my carbon fins ended up snapping because they put it in wrong 🫠
Cheers Lenny - need to get yourself some innegra DiveR fins. Can’t seem to break them! Taken my previous set to 15 different countries for diving and still going strong.
Amazing video as always, realy looking always forward to see your new videos.
Despite of that I have a question regarding meandros gun you use it. I see you use another setup, nor org. one. May I ask what shaft and rubber do you use? What thikness of both? What have you achived with it? More accuracy, more power, more range...? Thans a lot. Cheers
I just like rigging up guns how I like them. Just a 17.5mm sigalsub band, 6.5mm pathos shaft and that’s it. Accuracy and the power I need for the fishing style I do.
Great video, thanks!
💯Awesome information Daniel, That travel tube is nice for packing your gear for sure! Thanks for sharing!
What an interesting video Daniel!!!
Always so helpful and well explained.
Thanks for sharing again.

Thanks for this video, i was looking forward to it :)
Great video as always. I recently missed a flight due to the airline classing my speargun as a firearm. It was checked in as fishing equipment but apparently on regional flights needs to be in a hard lockable case not a soft case like I had. Won't make that mistake again!
which is why you separate the rubber from the gun. now its just a metal stick with a piece of wood
It was the point on the spear that flagged it up on the scanner apparently. I had to hand over the spear in the end. Once the baggage people decide it is a weapon they had to get the police to come check it hence the missed flight. Not fun. Flying out was no problem
@@laurencewood2339 sounds weird since u are allowed to have knifes and similar sharp object in the checkin
They let me take the knife but not a pointy bit of metal. Made no sense at all. All to do with it being a regional flight according to them. Apparently must be in a lockable case. I'm sure I was very unlucky but hardcase is definitely what I will be using next time
That’s a real shame. I remember having a problem with a multi prong called a pranger in Australia. The airline wanted to see that it was properly sheathed so it couldn’t hurt a baggage handler. Opened the bag up and showed them it was inside a PVC pipe and all good. That was 2007!
Thanks for the video mate! Plan on traveling to the UK with my "Fishing equipment" some time this year ✌🏼
Thanks for sharing. I will look for it!
Hi Daniel, many thank`s for awesome video! Question - I see that one of your guns is invert roller, what is efficient shooting distance under the water and what lenght is this gun? I have MVD Zeso carbon invert roller 55 with 3 pairs of bands, I can load only one pair and it is already monsterous shooting power giving at least 4-5 meters of range. Thank`s, cheers, buddy
I’ve never measured it but I’ve shot fish with a double wrap using it. I’ve got a whole video on it, it’s the orca 115V 👌
Another great video Daniel. Very informative. You always produce great content and so professionally done.
Cheers Mark!
Brilliant mate 👍👍👍
That was so cool bro thanks ❤❤❤
Superb advice 👌
Perfect timing as ever Dan, just sat here looking at booking a trip abroad towards the end of the year 🤞🤞
Nice one, going to Norway or Canaries?
@@DanielMann hoping to go somewhere off the coast of Africa, maybe Canaries or possibly a bit further afield 🤞
How about information about the rules in different countries, licences, penalties etc. . Spain, Portugal,Greek, Italian French, England, Ireland, Norway etc. I can tell you about Denmark, most important rules, and fishing licences etc
The rules are constantly changing so I feel the video would be outdated quickly. I’ve dived in all of those places and they have different rules that can change. Denmark is great, the fishing license is so easy to do online.
Yes it is very easy in Denmark.... I'm going on a campervan trip in the EU for 1-2 years. I think Spanien is the most difficult place to understand. Perhaps just take the fine 😆 north Spain / Portugal vest costs look amazing. If summer weather is right in Norway, I'm probably going that way for some months too. Good country to free camping and dive.
Informative as always!! Cheers!🍺
Glad you enjoyed it
I use the sport tube and it’s great but the mouth breathers at TSA have been unable to reassemble my sport tube despite leaving the big ass sticker that says to put the lock/pin through both holes. It’s arrived in two pieces with stuff all over the place .
Ah that’s a shame! Sounds like a bunch of people that didn’t care about the job too much.
@@DanielMann yep, I have the orange case so I’ve circled the sticker in sharpie and written the directions in large font on both sides of the case. Hopefully TSA will have some internal accountability if they mess it up again.
I tried to travel with my 75cm speargun some years ago and checked in as diving equipment. The police opened it in the airport and they wanted me to pay 3Euros to get it through, but the airline “Norwegian” did not allow me to… This was from Spain Mallorca to Norway Oslo.
Recently tried asking on the airport if any airline lets you travel with a speargun and no one does.
Therefore never say anything about a speargun, only fishing equipment.
Thanks for the video Dan!
Any time!
Azores, Thailand, Italy (Sardinia) have confiscated my weights from handluggage / from my belt. Many other countrys are cool with it. Wear it with belt/ vest and avoid weighing at airport 😂
Great video!
Great videos brother 🙌🙌🙌
When you’re making trip for spear fishing, how do you get your fish back home? Or do you?
Is the tickets in general cheaper buying a sports bag ticket - or why don’t you just buy a check in bag(20 kilo) and then a separate bag for the gun going through odd size luggage?
And what about if you rent a car from the airport the days you are there - doesn’t they take up all space saying you are three going on a trip to Norway?
I don’t really need the extra 20kg bag if I get everything in the Sportube. For trips with multiple people we share a Sportube for the guns and fins and then another checked bag for everything else.
Got to get the right size rental car or get soft roof racks to attach the sportubes on top.
Or you could dismantle the SG handle so that when it pass xray machine it wont form like a gun right?😊
Hi Daniel, thanks for the video. Do you have any promotion code for the Sportube?
I'm not affiliated with them in any way sorry.
Thanks alot for detailed info daniel. What size sportube do you use?
I hope I mentioned in the video 😵💫 It’s a series 2 👌
Very useful video, thanks
Also, think you say it costs 40 quid but it now costs $240 in the States!
I got mine second hand for £40, keep a look out on marketplace and eBay.
that intro edit🥵🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cheers Kevin!
Just getting ready for my first spearfishing travel in my life, I'm going to Madeira in two weeks now. So this video come very handy. Since I couldn't find sport tube so cheap I decided to build my own tube from 250mm pvc pipe. Actualy got it just under 8kg of weight. So my question is: how important it is to lock your sport bagage or is it enough just to close the pipe. This depends on further design of lids that I have to make. Thank you in adcance for your reply. And once again the video is spot on! Kepp up the good work and feel free to contact me if you ever decide to go spearfishing in Croatia.
I think it’s important to lock it so the screw end doesn’t vibrate off. I guess it depends on how well it screws on. Good luck and have great trip!
@@DanielMann I came back from Madeira and at the airport in Munich they totally destroyed my DIY bag. So a PVC pipe with a wall thickness of 7 mm, on which I jumped with my 90 kg for testing, and they managed to destroy it. Now follows the complaint saga and the attempt to refund everything they destroyed :D
Wow that’s horrible! One thing about PVC is it can be quite brittle for impact resistance. The Sportube is some sort of polyurethane I think which seems a bit more suited to impact. I hope you get your stuff covered by insurance!
In the good old days my brother and I would sometimes take our spearguns as carry on baggage on the plane. My Leatherman just stayed on my belt…no problem. I’m THAT old to remember when people dressed up to take a plane.
It would certainly make life a lot easier!
Stuffing the second fin really gave me anxiety 😁
I’ve taken the DiveR innegras to 15 different countries diving, I’ve got a lot of confidence in them!
I Am new to spearfishing was wondering if there's any breath work routine that I can follow to get a better breath hold
I’ve got a video on breath hold. If you search my videos you’ll find it.
Hi Daniel, what gps device you are using in your travel bag? Greetings jurjen from Holland
Apple AirTag 👌
Hi Daniel. How long have you had those red DiveR blades? Looks like they can last forever
This is a new set I got from the factory last year. My previous shorter red innegras which I dived in 15 different countries with from 2018 to 2022. I still have them but Ray wanted me to try out the longer ones so I have been using them since this year.
Where did you get the rubber material to protect spear ends?
It’s old speargun rubber.
Thanks Daniel. I reckon you definitely don't go through the "have something to declare" when you arrived at your destination?
Nothing to declare as far as customs are concerned. It’s not animal products, food, etc or purchased goods, nor cash over €10K.
@@DanielMann Good to know, thx. Will be going to the Dominican Republic this year and been thinking about how to take my gear with me. Still a little anxious my new gun would get confiscated. Boy and toys.
I know I have been following you for a long time that I actually remember the video regarding the dogtooth..so I will simply say HALLLLLLLLIIIBBBOOOOOOOOOTTTT
It’s a niche reference, glad you got it 😂
In the video, how long is the longer if the two guns? Is it a 120cm? Thanks!
115 😎
could you do a video on how to stop mask fogging
Sure thing, it’s pretty easy!
Thanks, Dan for the tips! Has anyone solved how to buy a Sportube in Europe? Some trusted dealers (not sure Diveinn is trusted)? The dealer section on their website is somewhat broken. I see they only ship to US/Canada :-) This would solve many of my problems. I have a fabric freediving waterproof suitcase/backpack but it has no wheels and my spear stretches the thing dangerously across the diagonal line. It is painful to drag it on my back 😅. However, I can usually place a repair kit (file, Dyneema, etc.) along with my clothes there too. All as regular 23kg luggage 😂. Good to point out the Ryanair ban (didn't know about it). Dive safe!
Try ski shops. Whenever I got to Geneva for a ski trip the airport is loaded with them.
How’s that Meandros working for you Dan? Did you say goodbye to the Underpressure guns?
I have a 75cm and 90cm Meandros. (Odd sizes as I cut the barrels down myself). Really loving the simplicity and design of them. Turns out my UP gun which I thought was an 80 was in reality about a 60 in a pipe gun and my ‘110’ was more like a 90. Only worked it out after a session on the black bream and couldn’t work out why it was so hard for me to shoot them in the clear water. Plus if I lose one I can replace it tomorrow. UP seems to be no longer producing guns.
@@DanielMann I know exactly what you mean, that meandros handle is amazing, maybe only second to the Ermes Avatar Im using nowadays.
Buying guns based on the listed "barrel length" is getting increasingly misleading with all the reverse trigger mechs, trendy short overhangs, etc.
great video, thanks Dan.
How to bring a speargun and a diving knife to Egypt ? I do not have any kind od hard bag for the gun ?
I’m not entirely sure. You could try a travel gun that breaks down in two.
@@DanielMann Thank you
My question is.. I took all my spearfishing gear to the Philippines but the only thing I am not allowed to bring back are my guns. There is actually a legal document that was shown to me by the airport security staff stating that no spearguns are allowed to leave the Philippines. They don’t know why but it is a law. I haven’t thought about shipping by mail or cargo, I’ve decided to leave them there for whenever I go back to visit friends and family. But would you know how I could bring back my spearguns back to the USA ? Thanks for your time
That’s a very odd law. Did you tell them they were spearguns. I would completely disassemble them and leave the shafts there to be honest.
I have disassembled the shafts, the rubber bands were packed separately too and yes, I did tell them but no way to reason with them. Thank you though for your reply
That's good to know. I'm contemplating moving there. I'll bring gear I'm willing to leave behind for my reconnaissance trip.
Check in bag for the weights, never carry if you want to keep them. Still almost guaranteed that the bag is opened because the scanners cant see through lead...
I’ve travelled with weights carry on at least 20 times and had an issue once.
¡Underwater fishing equipment! That´s what I said. In spanish. Yestarday I have a big trouble in Sevilla Airport with Vueling personal, I had your video very cool. It never happened to me before, in so many years travelling with my underwater fishing equipment, but with my sportube already invoiced, they call me back and they say that I could not fly back home with that luggage. Police says there is no matter, no matter with the company rules, one week before I flew with the same company, but finally they left me on land. I think I met the wrong person. Now it´s time to claim.
That’s a shame that happened to you. I went from Sevilla to Palermo last summer with Ryanair and a Sportube. No problems at all.
The worst part is that the personal didn´t know the own company rules, and the sensation of disability. I lost a day and had to use another company to fly back to the Canary Islands@@DanielMann
quick tip is don't roll up your rubber weight belt because airport security sees it as a dense mass with several layers that might be concealing drugs. I got stopped for it twice.
I had the same thing happen to me in Lisbon recently when I went there for work and had a roll of gaff tape in my carry on. Can’t make a film without gaff tape but they wanted to inspect it big time.
Ottimo prodotto ciao Daniel.
Would you recommend a inverted roller gun for someone spearfishing for 3-4 years?
Depends if you have a need for it and the type of diving you do.
@@DanielMann well I hunt in Croatia and do shore dives....
Lots of hole fishing in Croatia so probably not needed for that type of diving but if you are hunting dentex or Gilthead bream with aspetto it could be useful.
Superb
Lol 7 months after I asked you, thanks bro for getting around to it.
BTW nice work on the spitting on the rubber 😜 lol
Was busy with the spearfishing sabbatical series 😂
@@DanielMann I know you have been very busy these last what would you say nine months now.
Don't you worry I take my shirt dive everywhere when I go on my dive trips
Always busy doing something! Mostly work this year. Appreciate the support on the shirts!
Where's the link for the sport tube?
Couldn’t find one on Amazon.
Under water fishing equipment, got it
Where can I buy the sportube in the uk .?🇬🇧
Ski shops or I got mine from marketplace.
Frankfurt Germany airport did not want to let me pass security with my weight belt with weights attached. Was plainly obvious that they were for diving. Yet of course they still have to give you that look like they have never seen something like that before in their life and ask what is it? LOLLL Just like with you they said they can be used as a weapon, i told them I could also use my food tray as a ninja star right? Camera in a sock????? That was better than mine!!!!! Lol With lots of explaining and a background check I was able to get them on board, but it wasn't easy! Will go in my check-in luggage in the future. Also had a golfclub bag wth my spearguns in it and it was separated from my main luggage and had to pick it up in a secret special section of the baggage claim area which nobody told me about at check-in so i kinda hadda figure it out on my own. Travelling with fishing equipment ;) just sucks!!! Gr8 vid and those Sport Tube series 2 are hard to find but I did find a used beat up one :)
Glad that common sense prevailed and you were able to take them on the carry on. Yes, the longer odd shaped bags go to the oversize baggage reclaim. If they go on the normal conveyors they can cause them to jam up I think.
Question please, i have a 164cm (end to end) without spear. Would i pick series 2 or 3 for best fit?
Thanks, yahooooo
The difference between the sizes is the width not the length. No problems with any of them for that length.
Thanks
Nice one. Sportubes are great... BUT with easyJet and Ryanair, i.e. the most common flying companies for traveling within Europe, spearguns are explicitly forbidden, even for registered luggage.
Any experience with Ryanair on your side ?
I do travel with a half rigid Beuchat suitcase which is great but hopefully I have friends who can lend me the speargun where I go... it won't be the case everytime unfortunately:/
Ryanair it’s forbidden, EasyJet no, it’s fine. I’ve managed to fly to Malta and Denmark in 2018 with Ryanair with a small speargun in a Sportube without a problem from the U.K. Also had a mate have his travel gun removed at Stansted airport with Ryanair. Last year I flew from Seville to Palermo with Ryanair and my Sportube, took the mechanisms out and put them in another bag. Also from Palermo to Bari right after. Yes a bit risky but I had no other options for transport.
@@DanielMann
Yeah that's what I thought. A bit of lottery with them unfortunately. Why can't this be simple ? Ahah stupid policies
