I first learned about Slippy from your 2020 Dive Bag video and it is 500x better than conditioner or other solutions I have tried. I recently broke my thumb skiing and it has been difficult to squeeze my hand into my 7mm open cell, but I increased the amount of powder per volume water and it made more of a gel that is unbelievably slipperier than normal! Play around with the amount of water you add and find the perfect combination to fit your needs. Thanks for the recommendation Daniel!

Merry Christmas Daniel! The question is about weight vest. Please what size loose lead shot are you putting in the vest and how many kg. You have after. Thank you
Is it easy enough to find your way back to a marked spot using a GPS with no charts? Btw if you feel like trying yet another model of gloves I highly recommend 'Seac Sub Dry Seal' gloves. They make them in 5 mm and 3 mm versions. They are a little pricy but they fit my hands really well, are very warm and are easy to get on and off. I went through a ton of gloves before I found them. I bought a pair of 'Beuchat Premium 4.5mm Gloves' because they were made for "cold" water... went out in 5 celcius water in March here in Denmark and found out the seams were not glue at all. I really like wearing the 'Bare Sealtek' but they are impossible to get on and off once they are wet. Other gloves have wrong fit with too long fingers or they have annoying bulky seams in the fingertips but the 'Seac Sub Dry Seals' are terrific!
Hey Daniel, informative as always, thnx for another awesome video. I've been diving with the Cressi Calibro mask now for a xouple of months and can honestly say that I don't think you'l be disappointed.. Cheers from Mossel Bay, South Africa👍😉
I replaced my Aqualung Micromask with the Spetton Minimax and a Epsealon Minisub Red Flash since all of them are using the same OEM mold. The silicon might be slightly different. Do check em out.
Hey Daniel, no longer using that low volume DiveR float? Your last gear video made me almost grab one. Also, is that Cressi 82 you mentioned? Can't seem to find it online. I'm also just in for a simple dive watch. Congrats on the sponsors mate, love your videos!
Hey Kade, I still use the flat DiveR float but haven't had to in recent times. Should be getting a work out in March this year with any luck. The watch is a Cressi Edy 2. They are not longer made and mine actually died after 12 years. Now have a Suunto D4i and loving it.
It was very interesting to see the Riffe gun. Way too expensive for a newb spearo for me though. I bought a short (800) Rob Allen gun abroad, and on my last night I realized the gun says 800, but the spear was 120cm. No chance to fit it into any of my luggage, so I had to cut off the spear and leave it behind. Not the biggest loss, but I don't want to do that every trip. Do you have any idea if the threaded shaft system from Riffe exists in cheaper guns? I asked around, I can't use their shafts, they're way thicker than mine and my gun isn't powerful enough. I'd really like to avoid checking in big oversized luggage just so I can bring my spear.
You’ll be fine to use the threaded Riffe shaft in the Rob Allen if you have an open muzzle. Just use two 14mm bands or one 18mm band and it will send it fine.
What do you use that ‘drop’ weight for specifically. Not sure if you mentioned it somewhere on your channel, but curious if it is something I should look into integrating to my set up.
Love the videos, my wife and I are complete newbies. I was just wondering if l get the silicone dive belt should we go for 3mm or 5mm thickness. Thanks

G day mate love your videos very interesting and informative. When travelling overseas, weight belt leads do you take them with you or buy lead weights at your destination. Dive fins and gun are they safe from damage in your dive bag or do you wrap insulation around them. Thanks buddy really enjoy your local and overseas content.
I generally try and take my weights as carry on. Never had any problems at UK & Scandinavian airports doing this. They took them off me in Rome one time though. I use a Sportube for the guns when travelling, keeps them very well protected. Fins are fine in any bag - I have DiveR innegras and they are almost bullet proof!
Thanks for the quick reply, in response to DiverR fins I know Ray Powell personally and yes he is switched on to producing great gear. Keep smiling and enjoying your sport, cheers.
I know you can see your descent speed and it it notifies you when you are at a certain depth but I haven’t played with one yet, and I know in the Garmin Desent has a hart rate monitor and gps so you can mark spots
G’day! Love this vid. Very informative. Mr. Mann question I’d like to ask: what size do you wear in the sporasub weight harness? I dont have to option to try-before-buy so wandering what size to get. I’m 65kg/167cm. Thanks again and seeya on the next one!
Hey Daniel, thanks for these awesome videos. I learned a lot from you and watching your vids is such a joy. How did you mount the Omer match reel on your under pressure tube speargun? Did you use one of the adapter kits Omer offers? And did you have to drill into the gun?
I got them from Amazon. Just have to get the exact right diameter at 8mm not imperial 5/16” which is 7.9mm. sourcing map Carbon Fiber Rods DIY Subject Support Poles for RC Airplane 8mm Matte Pole 200mm 7.8 Inches, 2pcs www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07P95QKPR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_RSN0B98GYGRC4BY6RA7S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
@@DanielMann awesome thanks, I'll have to try it out. As you mentioned the stock rods are too heavy. Also agree about having the dyneema attaching before the join in the spear, would also make for easier 2-step loading!
Entertaining video as always Mann. Just my thoughts about your drop weights, I have both Omer and big fish and I hate the Omer one because it is so difficult to put on while you are wearing the belt in the water, my belt is stiffer and thicker than yours and it is so hard to lock because the plastic end does not reach the hole, even if I take off my belt its hard. On the other hand the Big fish one is soooooo easy to slip onto the belt and then lock it and I don't see a way it is going off, you can bend the metallic part on the back to adjust it if necessary, I had to make it bigger cause my belt is thicker as said before. Also I would like to ask, where can I find (online) the carbon rods you are using in your Riffe gun? I want a 6mm thickness rod to use it as an axle on my inverted speargun wheels on the nose to make it lighter replacing the steel axle, do you think they can hold the force?
I found the big fish one actually slipped off my weight belt once. I had two of them and both were manufactured a bit differently and inconsistencies in the pivot hole position. Whatever works for you I guess! I got the carbon fibre rods online somewhere, they are just unidirectional solid rods. I'm not sure if I'd use them in a roller axle unless it was supported on both sides very well.
@@DanielMann it is supported both ways, could you guide me on how to get one? I think it is worth the try. About the weights and gear in general, "whatever suits you" is the correct statement.
hey dan i am trying to start spearing some bigger fish kingies. i have a rob allen scorpia 900 mil should i get a new gun or should i upgrade my rob allen
So how do you transport your fins? When I have gone to the Caribbean I take my Cressi Plumas they are big but not too long, I would like to take my long ones but I'm afraid they will get broken.
I just take the footpockets off the blades and pack the blades flat in my suitcase. I guess that’s the reassuring thing about the DiveR fins, they won’t break!
Hello Daniel I'm from tunisia and really i learned many technic from you thanks a lot bro Just i have a little questions please Can you give me the reference of the gps garmin ..... So maybe i will found a way to do an command ( i have a little problem to remember some point for fishing :p ) Also i need the reference of your watch Please Thanks a lot
Love the vid as always D-Man. Do the carbon rods in the Riffe affect the buoyancy of the gun at all? I shoot with a RA Samburu and a RA Sparid, when loaded they are negatively buoyant. Not sure if the Riffes are designed in a similar way but would be interested to know if when you let go of the gun there's a danger it's now going to float away :) :)
The carbon rods make the gun a lot better. Having 100g of stainless steel towards the end of the gun makes it so heavy underwater. All guns should be slightly negatively buoyant I think when loaded up.
Yo man thanks for the videos, i was wondering tho, when u screwed the fins in did u just simply drill in the screws or did you like predrill? Im looking to get some innegra fins soon and was curious how u fit them in the pockets, i also have mares razors

Hi Daniel
Where can I get a marker like the one on your bag? I live in Manchester btw
Omer make them or try searching oneshot greece on Instagram, they make a nice one too.
Hey boss trying to understand the weight vest? Or is it something you'd use over a weight belt. So weight vest or weight belt??
I use it in combination with the weight belt.
getting hela pro love it!
Some more video please man
Your link to the xplor bag is noted as piracy homepage, do you have another link?
Awesome new background 🤙🏼
Cheers Reece, just a blue Colorama paper one 👌
Hello, when spearfishing does a clear skirted mask makes a difference to a dark one?
Yes, less strain on the eyes from light coming in the skirt.
Have you considered getting a newer type dive watch like for example the suntoo D5 or the D4F
I don’t have much need to be honest. This does everything I need it to do. Any advantages of the newer type watches?
@@DanielMann the garmin mk1 has a gps chart so you can mark spots !
I know you can see your descent speed and it it notifies you when you are at a certain depth but I haven’t played with one yet, and I know in the Garmin Desent has a hart rate monitor and gps so you can mark spots
@@wildboys9931 most computers will tell you when your at a certain depth
G’day! Love this vid. Very informative. Mr. Mann question I’d like to ask: what size do you wear in the sporasub weight harness? I dont have to option to try-before-buy so wandering what size to get. I’m 65kg/167cm. Thanks again and seeya on the next one!
I wear the medium size which is the smallest they do I believe.
Thanks Daniel!
Hey Daniel, thanks for these awesome videos. I learned a lot from you and watching your vids is such a joy.
How did you mount the Omer match reel on your under pressure tube speargun? Did you use one of the adapter kits Omer offers? And did you have to drill into the gun?
I got the universal Omer match reel. It has a rounded adaptor for round barrels. Then just drilled and screwed into the barrel.
@@DanielMann alright thanks a lot!!!
did you use the cressi calibro mask yet?
Didn’t use it more than once or twice. Wasn’t for me.
Hey Daniel,
I have the euro traveller, was interested where you got the carbon fibre rods, or did you make them?
I got them from Amazon. Just have to get the exact right diameter at 8mm not imperial 5/16” which is 7.9mm.

@@DanielMann awesome thanks, I'll have to try it out. As you mentioned the stock rods are too heavy. Also agree about having the dyneema attaching before the join in the spear, would also make for easier 2-step loading!
Where can I get a under pressure spear gun?
I just googled solid carbon fibre rod in the diameter I needed. In this case it was imperial 5/16”.
hey dan
i am trying to start spearing some bigger fish kingies. i have a rob allen scorpia 900 mil should i get a new gun or should i upgrade my rob allen
A 1100 would be a great addition to your arsenal. 900 is a great gun but can lack a bit of range for larger fish if the water is clean.
thanks i will hit adreno soon
So how do you transport your fins? When I have gone to the Caribbean I take my Cressi Plumas they are big but not too long, I would like to take my long ones but I'm afraid they will get broken.
I just take the footpockets off the blades and pack the blades flat in my suitcase. I guess that’s the reassuring thing about the DiveR fins, they won’t break!
Hello Daniel
I'm from tunisia and really i learned many technic from you thanks a lot bro
Just i have a little questions please
Can you give me the reference of the gps garmin ..... So maybe i will found a way to do an command ( i have a little problem to remember some point for fishing :p )
Also i need the reference of your watch Please
Thanks a lot
Hi Walid, the gps is a Garmin GPS 73 and my dive watch is a Cressi Edy 2.
@@DanielMann thanks a lit Daniel
The holes are clearance holes. You don’t want stainless steel and carbon fibre touching if you can help it.
@@DanielMann oh i see, thanks for the reply man i love the videos
