- This stuff works pretty well - Bill has been using it for years and I have done a few projects with it - so far so good seems to hold up really well...
here is the black liner

Great 👍 texture close up and instructions! Wow excellent guitar 🎸 music 🎵 and video my friend. Great content. I love it . Thanks for your sharing buddy 👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
Peter, your just a well of flowing knowledge. I love learning from you.
Would you suggest using this on a metal deck? You get 9 months of almost constant rain in Panama. People use metal beams here for everything (instead of 2 x 4) because wood rots within months. Plywood is a no-no, corrugated metal is used instead. Would this protect the deck and corrugated metal well? Thanks :)
Yes it would protect it !
Use primer first then the raptor liner
What kind of paint do you buy for the color? Is the paint specific for this liner?
any type of "base coat" ..... automotive paint base coat
Hey mate
Do you think I could use the raptor liner for the hull of a fibreglass boat?
I really like the way raptor coat protects the surface.
I was thinking it could help saving the hull from getting scratched on the beaches and stuff.
Or should I buy a epoxy paint??
You can use raptor. The surface wont be perfectly smooth. If that does not bother you - thats fine
Do you think this would hold up on a small 12-14 aluminum v bottom fishing boat if I sprayed the inside and outside? Also did you only do one coat?
we did one coat too heavy ... 2-3 thinner coats would have been better .... I would think it would be ok on the outside however it does create some drag on the outside
I am looking to do my boat and was curious how the RAPTOR LINER has held up on your duck hunting boat? Things you like and don't like about it?
I spray rapter liner professional out of my collision repair shop and after doing it for pass 4 years the first few trucks i did look brand new still.. i spray it on dump trailer and everything very good stuff
still holds up great ! this is good stuff !
Is it slick when wet?
@@Lancesitton not much. Put a little bit quartz sand in with it for extra traction , a lot of guy do that
Other than being a rough surface and increasing drag I wonder how it would do on the bottom of the boat to help protect from abrasion.
N B how would this cause drag? I don’t understand that comment.
@@weldingjunkie it has a texture to it and water probably won't flow as smoothly over it compared to Bare aluminum
N B idk I think it’ll be fine. Many boats have rough surfaces, barnacles etc. I don’t think that duck boat is going any where in a hurry anyway lol
Do you really think the drag would be that considerate ??
Even if we make a smooth texture out of the raptor coat on the hull!!
How much auto motive paint did you use for the 10 bottles of raptor 1 quart? And how much automotive paint did you add in each bottle? I saw he used two scoops but what size was the scooper?
yes roughly ... per liter raptor you officially need 100ml base coat ... you can get away with a little less if you have a good/ high quality base coat .... 1 qt base coat will for sure do 10 bottles of raptor
What is the exact brand and color you painted the bottom of the boat with?
we didnt paint the bottom at all - the sides only
How has the bed liner held up
GREAT !!!! I would totally do it again. I also pit some on my sprinter van on the bottom - works great !
Hi pete!
Interesting! Do you know if this is any good on boats that go in salt water?
I would think yes - they use it on equipment and tool boxes at salt storage places around here
How many oz of paint did you add to the tint?
3.5 oz = 100 ml per can of bedliner
How has the liner heald up over time?
Chad Melancon still holding up GREAT!
Bottle moving - End to End is the proper way to mix for minimum of 2 minutes.
Wow that stuff is really cool I like it, I’m not good at painting
if you suck at "regular painting" you will love this stuff ! it is sooo much more forgiving
even got a nice coating on lungs
What did you use to prime the whole boat?
Bryan Highley 2k red epoxy primer
How many liters of raptor liner did you use?
about 10 liters total
How many liters of the sand tan?
Where can you buy the base color paint?
any regular auto paint store - most NAPA stores mix paint ....
Yes but on the tintable raptor bedliner you want to leave out some addictives a actual autobody paint store well help you out
Who new they made this stuff this awesome you guys sound like me and my dad working together lol great video
lol
It looks great but personally I would have removed the motor and did the whole thing.
Looks good. So no respirator required?
Bill says no - i didnt read the instructions and with a little wind blowing (i was standing upwind) I was good to go .... you don't really have a fine spray like when you are painting stuff .. it is more a bunch of heavy drops being sprayed on ... hardly any overspray
Chingon GRACIAS POR el video
The ducks are going to be laughing at you when they see you in that boat that is until the shot guns come out!
bill did a really nice job spraying campo all over it .....
oh I didn’t realise..
What type of paint did you add to color the liner?
just regular automotive base coat ..... like you would use to paint a car? base coat and clear coat.... you have the the base coat tinted in the color or your vehicle and use that to tint the liner
M Bernard its base coat. Base coat is used with clear coat typically but the base coat itself does not get any hardener or anything.
You can even use metallic colors
Where are y’all located I have a 20 ft sea ark I would love to do this to.
milwaukee WI
even got a nice coating on lungs🤔
Look at this mess - so much mixing and stirring, MESSY! Just get Durabak - color is already in the can (so is the hardener) one part and it's much tougher - that's why the US Navy uses it on their Aircraft carriers
