Dude was running atlas os but with windows defender option. It's amazing and fast. Windows defender does a good job when you surf. I tried to catch.malware on purpose but defender stopped them. I have over 12 years experience working with windows and pc hardware. Usually I don't trust custom isos, but atlas os is verified and clean.
ok I'll be checking this out I usualy do it all the hard way then add open shell or 11back ( was able to build a sweat XP 2022/11core, on a legion this way looks very clean) also found tituspi on there? should get my Argon M.2 working well, fingers crossed.

I normally debloat Windows myself. It takes some time and I don't turn off or delete everything. My wife has certain preferences for some software so, I don't clean out hers as much as mine. She keeps things like spotify and downloads iTunes. Anyway, greetings from Florida in the US.
Group policy is too complex for most people. A video on the exact entries to change to stop future crap downloads from Microsoft would be nice. Thanks.
I think I am a mature, knowledgeable and experience computer person working with computers and users for over 50 years. I speak for many who do find Group Policy and Windows in general "too complex".
Thank you for this trick! Oh the countless hours I've spent manually or using scripts doing this on new computers/installs. That said, Microsoft should really give us a true bloatware free version for download. Most people that download Windows isos are not gonna be using the bloatware stuff anyway and will remove it. I understand they make money off this stuff, and in a way that's fine, but keep it to preinstalled Windows on computers bought from stores. Also, those that truly pay for the "Pro" version or higher should absolutely not have this stuff forced on them. Tangent: This is, one of the reasons, why I really like using Linux personally. Just find the distro you like, install the "minimal" version and then install the desktop stuff you actually need. No tricks necessary and works like a charm each and every time.
Re- reverting back from English (World), I would also mention it's worth running intl.cpl > admin tab > copy settings > ok If you don't do this, some backup software (veeam in my case) will not be compatible with your culture settings because new users still have English (World) by default.
After you install this way, you go into your settings and change the language back to whatever you use. . It will not install bloatware. Installing Windows this way, prevents the bloatware from installing, and when you do Windows Updates, it won't install the bloatware either
just installed a VM with LTSC but main system is stock with me uninstalling things myself. This video was excellent going to try take a look at that method on a VM and try find the tool you used later in the video looks handy bit of tech....! excellent video thanks for sharing appreciate it. 🤪
Didn't ThioJoe already cover this? It really doesn't debloat anything, it just removes the placeholder icons in the start menu. The final installation is still the same size.
Good video Brian and I wish that I could have done this before I installed Windows 11 pro on my granddaughter's laptop I refurbished for her. One video I personally like to see is one on editing the group policies because I am not real sure of what I should and should not touch. Same goes for the Apps that you can remove from the app list simply because it becomes very tedious in searching the net for what that app is for before you either uninstall it or not. .
I bought new laptop a week ago and installed Win11pro with US keyboard and world region (i like english for OS language). But, im in Croatia and i did change region to Croatia (EU member state) first thing after installation. Now i dont have option to uninstall Microsoft Edge (i use Firefox) and all other stuff which should be possible and i do have latest windows updates. Is there something i could do to enable that on system level or should i just forget about it (i dont mind, but if there is a way, why not?) I would not want to do "custom" uninstall, or install Windows again, i just want to be able to do it from app list if thats possible. Thanks
Tried this today and there was a glitch. It now requires an outlook address & PW and won't skip ahead, just loops back again and again. Could your install using UK instead of US-world be the issue?
That's one way, I figured out another way too. You just have to go in dev mode and choose view as a blackberry while you are on the microsoft website to install it and done.
Here is my dilemma. Current OS is win 10 home 22H2 May 23 update. While i know my system doesn't meet the required CPU for windoows 11 it is the only reason it is unsupported. My question is whether Microsoft has patched win 11 22H2 because when i try a clean install and come to the window listing partition drives' i get a blank page with no drives listed so i can't create a new partition from primary drive because no drives are found. yet all partitions are there when i use command prompt to list disk
Here another tip about activating windows 10 is using your Microsoft account and look for the previous windows 10 computer name something like Desktop-XXXXXXX that you previously activated this is a important step to get right by renaming your new windows 10 installation with the previous desktop name and click activate this will work without issues on the same computer hardware but not too sure if it work normally on a different computer hardware as I never tried this on a different computer

When I installed I did not get the windows screen to select time and currency format. I had to log on with an account, I could not get pass that page. So I still got all the bloatware that comes from MS. So there must be a step missing.
Never install Chrome... I stopped using it when it started to install itself 2 - 3 times a week against my will where I had to uninstall it every time I discovered it was back again. This went on for 2 years. Now lately it has stopped installing itself in secrecy...
It's kinda sad that the windows setup process has "tricks", most people are paying for the operating system and they just want to pop it in their computer and be done with it, but now instead of that those people have to worry if they're being spied on, getting their data harvested and go thru the bothersome task of uninstalling all the software that comes with their $199 operating system. Great video overall, I hope it picks up more traction so the average Joe can actually learn how to use the system they paid for to it's fullest without being held back by trashy bloat.
Hello sir I have a very important question for you and I really hope that you can give me advice so this is what I need to do, my dad bought a 2 year old HP laptop and he always brings his pc problems to me so I can fix them for him anyways the laptop wouldn’t boot into windows it kept saying no bootable devise detected so I removed the back panel and it has a ssd that was supposed to be plugged into the motherboard but it popped off and I called HP to see how can I connect it back on to the motherboard because they are soldered on to the motherboard and they told me that a new motherboard would have to be put in with a sata cable coming from the motherboard so at that price it would be better to buy a new laptop so I saw a spot for a pcie m.2 so I bought a 1tb m.2 and I downloaded windows 10 onto a usb flash drive. My question is with the m.2 plugged in and I plug in the usb stick and boot up the laptop will it see that there is only a m.2 in it and will it let me install windows onto the m.2 and the laptop will work or and I don’t even know if I can go into bios with the m.2 plugged in and set the m.2 as the bootable drive? Can you please advise me on what I need to do please? Thank you
Hey Robert, I can try to help. First off, there is no harm in trying. You've already gotten pretty far in your troubleshooting and preparing a new drive, so good job with everything you've done so far, and your ideas on what to do next are what I would do. 👍I don't have experience with doing exactly this, but I'm pretty sure by default the computer will boot off of whatever interface has a bootable drive. Otherwise, yup, check the BIOS for boot order. If using the m.2 slot does work, your Dad is pretty lucky it's there. 👍
i am going to try it now. i already use RUFUS to make a partially unattended windows installation. I kick in the installation and it creates a predefined user name to bring the desktop. I only intervene with installation twice to skip wifi connection and another prompt after that. That would be awesome if i can use a script to turn the localisation into my country (UNITED KINGDOM) via a script rather than me fiddling in the setting menu which is time consuming.. can anyone help me on this.

Last year, we succesfully set up a Windows 11 laptop with an offline account..............until we wanted to download other browsers & drivers for our laser printers. Then it forced us to create a MS account. Tomorrow, we want to set up another Windows 11 laptop & need to know how to avoid the MS demand, when we want to download Vivaldi, or Brave, or our printer drivers. HELP?
The "trick" doesn't work in Canada. The "trick" is banned in Canada, and I get an error message. Windows 11 is a sick operating system, I've tried it. Microsoft said Windows 10 was "the" last version, remember?

The CTT Winutil has many contributors. But yes, Chris is the main contributor and he has a great channel and useful tools.
Chris work is nice, but it eventually ends in a reinstall. That isn't necessarily a bad thing tho.

I use Tiny11 and use Rufus to create the bootable USB. Your way is good! But this way is better.
Rufus is a powerful USB tool.
Rufus will still have Windows install all the bloatware. . .

If you physically unplug your internet connection during install, it will bypass the Microsoft account sign in section.

Ah. I used that World option before and noticed the Start Menu is empty. Didn't think much and turns out it debloated from the get-go.
The "trick" doesn't work in Canada. The "trick" is banned in Canada, and I get an error message. Windows 11 is a sick operating system, I've tried it. Microsoft said Windows 10 was "the" last version, remember?
