EXO won awards for almost all of their title tracks but Growl bagged all 3 the highest awards at MAMA in 2013 in their debut year
It wasn't their debut year. They debuted in April 2012, but they won the Daesang for Album of the Year at MAMA in 2013, 1 year after debut, which was unprecedented. I think it still is. Rookies simply don't get AOTY with their first full album release!!

- this mv was shot in one continuous take.
- this was the repackaged album (XOXO), that earned EXO their First Million Sales, making them the first group to revive the physical album sales in 12 years.
- XOXO was Album of the Year in MAMA 2013, and Growl was Song of the Year in the MMA 2013.
- exo performed growl in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony

Actually when they did the transition, they didn’t run to the other side. Exo was a lot bigger back then, they had 12 members and were divided into 2 subunits exo-m and exo-k, each comprising of 6 members. But they usually do their mvs together as one big group

Exo used to have 12 members 3 left and went back home to China.D.O and Xiumin are in the military for 21 months and Lay is also in China but is still in the group. He will probably be able to make songs with them again soon.
I still remember when EXO was 12 then Kris, Luhan, and Tao left leaving us with 9 then Lay became rlly busy in China to do comebacks with EXO leaving 8 . And finally xiumin and DO are in the military leaving only 6 it’s amazing how time passes . 😖😖😭
