"if i call you carson in the headset, i'm sorry"
"that's okay"
true pro.
W Player. One of my favorites
I’m an eagles fan and I didn’t realize how hurt josh McCown was after that
Mentally and physically
same man. i especially feel bad cause in the moment, I was mad and said he was trash.
but i didn't even know he had a torn hamstring. i had no clue how much it meant to him and how hard he tried
@@vyomkankeshwar3044 Trash? He played an amazing game.
@@vyomkankeshwar3044 yeah our whole family was mad at him but now that I realize how much that meant to him I thinks it ok
@@vyomkankeshwar3044 boy you need to get your head check when you said he was trash. I would never call anyone out a trash when he played with his heart and puts his body on the line to win, even when the outcome is not always winning.
@@ramal5708 in the moment in a playoff game to lose will make any fan mad
Nice sequel to the man of many jerseys
A watched that video too

YES IT IS!!!! MCCOWN IS SUCH A GREAT GUY!!! AND AN UNDERATED QUARTERBACK!!!
He also coaches high school team when he was in Philly last year, he flew every week over to North Carolina to coach his High School football team then flew back to Philly, Great man champion in every Eagles fan heart.
Plus I never seen player torn his hamstring and stayed in the game to finish the game. Wentz did finish his drive in 2017 and score TD with his ACL torn before they carried him off.
Yup it’s fax he was the Qb coach of my high school team last year, mans a legend
Yea. And when athletes play through stuff like that it show us the heart and toughness they really have. It gains all my respect Because they could have just got a timeout and taken out of the game. But they stay in and tough it out for teammates and fans.. I couldn't imagine playing with a torn hamstring or ACL or whatever. I had MCL sprain few years back and the pain from that about killed me. Let alone a tear or something
Big daddy phillip rivers did it years ago too
@@bradmillerman6156 Marvin?
Seeing him break down in the tunnel after that game really got me
Me too
its insane he played through a torn hamstring
Well Wentz finished his drive when he torn his ACL in 2017 against Rams and still score TD. This only happens in Philly with so much heart
@@ramal5708 only am Eagle fan would regurgitate this movie book bullshit quote. Philly is a cesspool. And yes, I live right outside the city
@@bonfied43 lemme guess? You’re a bitter ass cowboy fan that still watches replays of the last playoff game y’all won in the 90s
@@robertmillison8933 lmao nah, Giants fan
@@robertmillison8933 😂😂
I'll never forget in the 2017 season for the Jets where he came in and brought a team that was being predicted to go 0-16, and he had them at 5-7 before he went down. I'll never forget him for that, what a fun season
I remember streaming him a ton of times that season in fantasy, ended up winning the chip without him but he won me several weeks
Yeah 2017 was supposed to be the 0-16 team lol, was not supposed to be this years team. There was a lot of hidden gems though Adams, Demario Davis, Anderson started to go off, Kearse was solid, and Mccown followed the lead
Seferian Jenkins was solid also, but I guess we let him go because we they saw Herndon in training camp, now Herndon fell off thanks to the wonderful Adam Gase.there not a lot of plays called for his skill type thanks the Mr. Gase
@Greesys nope
Those were the best Jets uniforms to. I hate the jets helmets they got now. They need to go back like they were when Michael Vick and Josh McCown wore the green n white.
This man is quite the football player. Played a career like no other. I see him as an NFL head coach someday!
Eagles offered him coaching position
Dude has been a loser his whole life u wrong
There’s a reason he has played for all 32 teams
@@JV510 you're totally wrong, even he's career mediocre at best he played with heart unlike your jelous ass who prolly can't play football. Secondly he didn't played for 32 teams, he only played for 11 teams get your facts right before you make such hideous comments
@@ramal5708 it’s called a joke
Seahawks fan here and the video had me in tears .. Josh McCown is a true warrior and one hell of a man
puts a tear in my eye, i can only applaud such passion. beautiful :,)
Respect for the playing through injury and still come close to win against the Seahawks
Lol close
I’m a eagles fan 🙁
@@Astro_204 that’s not a bad thing now for you because they have a chance at it again because dak and saquan Is injured
@@joaquinduque8958 your serious right? Anyone who comes out of the nfc east into the playoffs will get wiped in the first round and it isn’t even close
@@evets1726 can’t argue with that
Josh McCown May have never played on my team, but he’s still my quarterback, and a true inspiration. And with that said , thank you Josh. -Football Fan
How can you not be romantic about football?
The stories it tells. The moments it gives us. The failures. The Victories.
We must never take for granted the beauty that is this sport and cherish every moment it gives us.
McCown is by far one of my all-time favorite players. God bless you Josh!
When is Fitzmagic turn for one of these.
McCown man of many jerseys.
I hope his mentoring pays off more on Darnold than it did for Manziel lol
The reason it didn’t work w Johnny is cause he didn’t pay attention
This video needed to be made, this man is the prefect example of devotion and durability.. He's what football players should inspire to be. His love for the game and willingness to do whatever was needed make him a true legend
This guy has always been one of my favorite players. I remember those games in Chicago when he was absolutely electric, or when he threw for over 500 yards in one game in Cleveland.
NFL films have outdone themselves.
This is so poetic I absouelty love it.
Now THATS a jaw line, good god man.
i was actually crying no cap
yeah, that's sad worked his ass off and lost. Played through the pain. Definition of a warrior.
@@quan8786 lol skewed facts he tore his calf on the last play
@@villreee5939 Then why did the vid show him snapping the ball suffering though pain and grabbing his thigh after throwing the ball.
I almost did too
Dude like…same. I hadn’t seen the tunnel scene when I read your comment, and then I watched it.
Coming from a born and bred hawks fan, Josh is no joke. That’s old school football.
Josh McCown is a guy that I have always respected and admired. He really was a very solid backup QB who stayed in the NFL as long as he did because he loved the game. He deserved at least 1 postseason victory. Maybe even a Super Bowl. This was a great story!
Seeing him breakdown in the hallway almost made me break down bc I've been on the same boat as him after a career like that
Josh McCown.... The man of 1000 Jerseys....
@Brady Foreman Just another Jersey for his collection haha
Now he can be a bandwagon all he wants😂😂
Yes a video about my favorite QB
Second greatest backup ever
Brady Pospichel agreed
Fitzmajic number 1
@@notdatpaper4456 I’m he was a 4 string that year but I get what you’re saying
I remember when he play in mexico city back in 2005 or 2006
17 years in the NFL. Many cannot even get in for a day. Much respect.
He played with such guts that day... getting hammered over an over, visibly inquired but never conquered.
Can't say I'm an Eagle's fan.... but this was by far my all time favorite playoff game & playoff story since I've been watching the NFL.
As an Eagles fan, I'll never forget this game. I wanted to win this badly, but for someone to go that long with never playing in a postseason game, I enjoyed the moment. He got us close despite all the challenges.
This guy is great! Great heart and soul!
I love Josh Mccown, hope he his our OC next year
better than doug
I love a journeyman QB. Testaverde, Fitzpatrick, Flutie... but McCown is the penultimate journeyman. Football is best with a guy like him around.
This man needs to be on the Eagles coaching staff. I laughed whenever I saw this traveling qb completely pump up everyone on the sideline when a pass was completed! Even though its his 11th team. He helped our practice squad players get ready for the field. He should be the QB coach at Philly
I loved him as a Raider he always played with so much heart
Can’t lie brought tears to my eyes. U know some people just say football is just a sport and in all righteousness thats correct but there’s a brotherhood like no other and to see grown men cry should tell u all u need to know. So again thank you josh mccown will nvr be forgotten as an eagle and a fierce competitor!
Josh McCown had the career he had because of his work ethic. Every team that signed him got everything he had. His is a career to be proud of.
I had no idea he tore his hammy in that game. That makes his performance even more impressive imo. Dude’s a low key legend
He was a low-key legend before he got the job with the iggles. The man has character. There is a reason he found work for as long as he did.
Dude is class
I would make josh my starter in madden, in madden 20, I would level him up as much as possible can then bring him to the super bowl
So would I 😂💀
@@jonnymarin6629 Lol
I do it in every madden
This man could’ve been Taysom Hill before Taysom Hill was Taysom Hill
Josh is better
Never remember when he made an incredible play to knock the Vikings out of the playoffs
I watched that playoff game against Seattle. He played his heart out. He sustained a hamstring injury and I also believe he injured his shoulder.
Josh McCown is just about the sweetest story in history of sport.
Nothing but respect for McCown. He gave us a chance in that playoff game and I won't forget it. To do that and play with an injured hamstring, he should have earned everyone's respect. Hope he can continue to coach and maybe come back to the squad as a coach in some capacity.
I will always respect him for coming in and doing what he did for the Eagles, he did his best while dealing with an injury
In the tape where it says April 11, 1980 he would’ve been 1 their
Love ya josh! Go birds 🦅
Now he's our quarterback coach for my team: The Panthers. A franchise that's had as rough of a road as he has. Couldn't be more honored to have him part of the coaching staff.
Had never heard of this guy until 20 mis ago, and now the NFL got me crying, probably because I just watched his Man of Many Jersey video of 2017. It's nice that he was able to play in a playoff game before he had to retire.
6:35 made me cry
I remember when he was on the browns a few years back. He played with like a dislocated shoulder or something. That same week, Jay cutler refused to play cause he had a bruised finger on one of his hands.
Guy was just a monster.
Mccown is still 25.
@Charles Hunt nah he’s 25
yup
He is 41 😂
@Charles Hunt jesus bro read the room
@Charles Hunt it’s a joke
This was very well done...as was his NFL career. Real life, at every level, is about the class and professionalism of journeymen. That's the backbone of our society.
So excited to have this man as my QB coach. Skol!
Never knew he was such a tough s.o.b....better now than never to become a fan
he gave his all
man such heart, at the heart of a great man, thats the heart of an awesome story
This should be titled the legend of Josh McCown
Josh McCown was born July 4th 1979.
0:50 .. He is undeniably the biggest 9 month old I’ve ever seen.
"I told mAh momma I wasn't gonna cry' 🥺
Good news men he just got signed to the Texans active roster the GOAT is back
Here after he is our QB coach in Carolina. What a freakin guy! Don’t know it didn’t work for him as a franchise qb but still a great QB, nonetheless.
Josh McCown got signed by the Houston Texans off the Eagles practice squad on Nov 4th
He is a great Man. People's champ
It's crazy his son plays for my school and he’s really good
He gave it everything he had and then some. A man we should strive to be.
Absolutely fantastic video!
I just became a huge josh fan... I want his jersey now 💚 maybe even all of them
love this guy
Well now we know for every player we could be calling trash can be out there giving everything they got and we won't know unless we measure them by their hearts and not just through talent
Thanks, NFL Films, I didn't realize I'd be crying today.
Its a crazy league
In about 5-8 years when hes ready if i was a coach picking out a staff id want him as my QB coach...hope he has a future in coaching at the next level we need guys like Josh IN football
He and Fitz deserve some sort of prize for being in the league this long.
I’m actually crying thank you Josh 🦅
Stop making me cry for McCown NFL films........
What a legend!
"McCown held his head high, refusing to break down until he was out of sight"
*Camera Guy comes right around the corner almost running into him*
I always followed him wherever he went and I always feel so bad in That game
Keep your head up king 👑
The fact that he played in those Jordan 1 retros cleats is baller
I thought they’d show his helicopter hurdle lol
#Respect
Probably one of the most players I respect
NFL films making me cry again.
This nearly brought me tears
Respect to McCown
Man was underrated qb...In my opinion
Who wouldn’t want to go to battle for a guy like that
Had no idea he was that injured during that game 😱🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Always have so much respect for this guy - truly a great person and leader in every aspect, on and off the field. I was gutted that he didn't get a win for the Eagles. I hope in some way he can help them make a playoff run this year, even if it's sitting Wentz at some point. NFC East is terrible!
I have and always will have tremendous respect for McCown and Ryan Fitz
Feel 4 him
Respect from a cowboys fan.
I think everyone loves Josh. He would be a great coach
Bearkats over here punching the air with McCown being called a Lumberjack and Lumberman
I know they got the school wrong. The lumberjacks are SFA.
He should be in the hall of fame!!
I work at his big brothers Randy Mccown sawmill he still stops by every off season
He should be in the hall of fame.
