    2000’s was the best era for safeties! Troy, Ed Reed, Brian Dawkins, Bob Sanders(people forget about him), John lynch, o and my Bears Mike Brown(idc what anybody says, before injury, he was top 3!)

    Was such a shame watching his play diminish week to week due to injury and mostly head trauma. Still played with that amazing passion but mind and body wasn't keeping up. Just keeping hair and jersey #43 on the field was the ultimate goal I believe but personally felt he needed to be on IR a lot longer on later injury spans. Men like Troy have to be told when enough is enough though, probably the only way he'd ever stop. Guessing he had double digit concussions each season.

    Troy went to Douglas high school in Winston Oregon, the exact same town both my parents grew up in, as well as the same high school. Mom was a cheerleader at Douglas and told me how everyone was always so amazed at how incredible he really was. I always thought it was amazing that she was able to see him play before he joined the big leagues.

    6:39 and 10:03. That was classic Steelers' defense back in our glory days. Harrison wacks the quarterback, Polamalu does the rest. Harrison + Polamalu both won DPOY's. What a duo.

    • @ryman33333
      @ryman33333 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Harrison was solid and the whole defense was great but look what happened every time Troy was injured. Defense was mush. Average at best. Troy made everyone else look good. Did things that will never show up on stat sheets. Changed every play if he was on the field.
