EDIT 04/08/2021 - I have learned that this software isn't compatible for all versions of the RK68 Keyboard series. There are several version of the RK68 keyboard and depending on your version will depend on what firmware you have to flash to the keyboard which i show in this video 40 seconds in.

Does it work on rk68 blue version?
Your video was very helpful in pointing me to the right firmware but that software is a mess. wish there was a manual for using the RK68's software and creating custom colors. Do you know how to change individual key colors while leaving the rest one solid color? I'm trying to figure out how to make just the FN, Delete & Backspace keys green while leaving the rest of the keys amber/orange.

Try to unzip the file while your antivirus is turned off ,It might be that your antivirus is deleting a files by mistake

the motherboards are the same but the PIDs are different then the firmware isn't compatible for all.
works dec 2022. skip the updating part and just install the software, works. but ofc buggy.

Whenever I download the software i cant chose what keys i want to be lit? Does anyone know how to fix
I am able to run the software with rk71, and customize the custome light forceach key, however, the moment i unplug the usb cable, the light no longer work. I can only use the "custom" light from the long list that doesn't has animation features. Just static light on each key.
This software is outdated and I no longer have my RK68 so I am unsure and unable to answer your question as to why it might be doing that sorry

I have the blue light version rk68 with a PID of 0052, do you know what i should do? every software ive tried says it cant find the HID usb device, inlcuding the pid8008 version, in device manager under the last HID keyboard the PID says 410
The keyboard version you have doesn't support RGB your options with the blue light version are very limited

I think you might have to factory reset your keyboard than try the software again

If you are a referring to macros yes this software does support marcros i actually have a video helping someone else.

I found the solution. The problem is that the rk68 RGB is actually called RK g68, the link to the driver is here: en.rkgaming.com/download/1/, make sure you select RK g68 instead of rk68 and download the rgb version.

Thanks for this. I have run into an issue though. When I try to run the HFD ISP Tool program, it gives me an error message which says, "Can't find USB HID Device!!". Any solution to this?
Alot of people have been having this problem recently, unfortunately this software isn't going to work unless you find the correct one for your specific keyboard mine is the 2020 revision to find out which version you have you can either open up device manager and find the hid number or open the keyboard and find the revision number on the board itself

i am so confused, it says my device is not connected
Question, i just got the keyboard i downloaded the RK software, do i always have to select my RGB custom profile everytime i restart? My custom rgb doesn't load when i restart my computer even though the app launches. I have to specifically go to custom lighting for it to activate.
I also had the same problem from what I know you have to load it up everytime, There is a solution but its not perfect its built into windows and its called task scheduler

You need the software specifically for your version (RKG68) there are several versions of this keyboard and this is the first time i am hearing of your version, If I manage to find the software in the coming days I will reply to this comment with a link to download it.
@@MattFoxall damnn i have the same issue with this RKG68, some say that diffrent vendor may have diffrent software. i check reddit post that post the rkg68 software, some say work and some say it wont. even some guys manage to broke his keyboard, he say that when he update the firmware he unpluged the cabel accidentally XD then the keyboard wont start even he replug dozen time. damn im scared to use the program haha

Also, after downloading the software in the link above, it's important to make absolutely certain that you have the BT switch in back of the KB set to Off (corded mode) and then to make sure you have the USB-C to USB-A cable connected from KB to PC. Only then can you successfully do that first step of installing the firmware without HID errors.

I'm assuming you mean device not found, this normally means your keyboard is either not supported because it's the Non RGB version or you need the different download for your specific keyboard which I don't know which one it is so I can't give you a download for it yet if you find out which version of the keyboard you have I can probably get the software for you

This just means that you need to find the specific software (and updater) for your specific keyboard it might be named the same RK68 but the actual board inside is different

how do get it like it worked before, because now I cant change lighting through the keyboard
open the software and click the settings in the bottom left corner and than there will be a button that says "restore factory settings" hope this helps :)

@@benjames5783 the keyboard lights blinked? This should mean it's reset now all you have to do is hold the Fn Key and press the \| key (above the enter key) to cycle through the preset modes again :)
if you hold the FN key and space bar for 3 seconds this will fix this issue

I recently bought a RK68 (Brown switches) keyboard. While I click the 1 key, it gets typed some random numbers on screen (random numbers of length 6-9). I tried to troubleshoot, reinstall driver, but none of the above is working. Anybody else facing this issue and know how to fix it?

If your update keeps saying failed try unplugging keyboard plug it back in than run the GamingForceZ-RGB-RK68-Setup-1.0.1.1 and if you haven't already installed it install it than run it again and click repair this should fix any issues with the update

Yea, I too have a different PID which was 0049. Don't know where to get the firmware for it.
@@Zerotwostudio I think your keyboard doesn't support RGB, there are two versions of this keyboard one that supports RGB and a cheaper version that only supports 1 colour either blue (if you have the white version) or a gold colour (if you have the the black version)

No this isn't normal I would suggest running the installer again and flashing the keywords memory if it doesn't stop

A few others have had this problem and I think the only solution Is to find the correct software to your specific board, I think if you Google your serial number with the term RK68 Software you may get some results
