    Hey there buddy, I agree with ya those big adapters suck, I didn't even bother with them I just brainstormed a little and came up with aluminum or nylon thick wall spacers you can get from a hardware store. I put them between the hub and rim after a little super glue to hold them in place, sofar so good and gives me the clearance I needed for the shocks I bought or they wouldn't have worked lol. Yeah fucked up when I ordered them lol! They come in many sizes and lengths and have also used a longer one to lock the transmission in 4x4 til I get the new slipper clutch and gears💯😜

      The spacers are a great idea Funny I have held them in my hand at the hardware store wondering what I could use them for...and it never dawned on me to use them as a wheel spacer lol! I have many sets of opps wrong size shocks also lol,

    What’s your thoughts about HG P801/802. Couldn’t help myself just purchased a 802. Were on special on GeekBuying.

      Glad you liked my video, I have been following those 801/802 rigs I really like the quality and durability they have plenty of parts and upgrades available also, Im torn between one of those or a capo jk jeep both are expensive rigs,

    Hi Dennis, Happy New Year, I have eventually bought myself a P407. I have watched many videos about upgrading the wheels, the adapters from RC Channel are a great looking item but do not think $24 postage is reasonable. Do you recommend any of the 3d printed 12mm hex adapters, do you make and sell your 3d ones, how were Vikings Mancave units and does he have a web page to view the parts and price's. Keep up the great videos.

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know that they were on thingivers 3d print share website the ones I printed stripped out real fast, I haven't heard from the mancave, hope all is ok with him. I like to use alloy when I can because im really hard on my rigs when Im in bash mode lol.

    So does the tamiya rerelease take the big Bering I was looking on line and it seemed like u could take a spacer out fo the hub and run the larger bearing . But I wasn't sure if it was like that I thought u would know

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you remove the spacer the big bearing will fit, but its in there super tight, lol I had a heck of a time getting mine out, lol

    one thing i am confused. ok you get dose disk brake adapters but when you guy to buy a wheels the bolt pattern of the 2,2 to the 1.9 are different or the same? on the rc channel site it says for 2.2s...

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far all the wheels I have bought the 1.9 and 2.2 bolt pattern are the same, The 1.55 and 1.7 wheels are a smaller bolt pattern. I have installed 1.9 wheels on the RC channel adapters.

    I have just realised the awful gap between the two halves of the body. Do you think it would be worth widening the screw holes so I can get the halves closer together and get rid of that unsightly gap?

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you could slot the holes on the rear bed to tighten the gap.

    With your knowledge of the hg p407 and the Tamiya Bruiser, would you know if the RC4WD hex conversion kit for the Tamiya Bruiser would fit the hg p70
    Keep the videos coming. Thanks

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tamiya rear axles have a splined end to fit in the diff gears, the hg has 2 flat spots on the axle ends, if you grind these flat sides on the tamiya ones they will fit the hg diff gears, the front axle short shafts will directly fit. I have done it many times its easy to do.

      @krowe33 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol couldn't you just swap in the diff gears as well? Just curious what all parts are sble to be swapped in. Have u installed one of those rc4wd 13mm conversion kit. I've ordered one. I have looked all over the place an nobody has done one. U should do one.

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The front is a direct install , the rear axles you need to grind 2 flat spots on the splines if your installing them on a hg-p407, I planned on doing a vid but the kit was sold out a few months back.

  • @Bassin07Si

    Does the RC4wd hex conversion work on the hg p407?

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it will with a simple modification to the rear axle shafts, the fronts are a direct fit, the rears need 2 flat spots filed on them to fit the hg diff gears, the bruiser diffs are splined and the hg is 2 flat sides, its easy to do I have done it many times.

    I j ust finished my design for wheel adapters for the bruiser/mountaineer/p407 . I'm only posting this as they have lived through my abuse testing. They are 3d printed and offer features that other 'free' designs do not. Do you have some contact info available, I'd like to send you a set.

      That’s nice Dennis out of control! I bought the 12mm hex adapters on eBay from RC Lover and they are nice, but extend the tire out a little much IMA , but just looks like a modified rig, so not bad. I do not like the way the back is wider than front. I could not find any of this stuff that you are showing here??? do you have a link? Thanks for the video
