Installation of Touratech engine crash bars on 2019-2023 BMW R 1250 GS

This installation procedure applies to all BMW R1250GS motorcycles starting with model year 2019. The compatible Touratech bars are 037-5160 (stainless steel) or 037-5162 (black).

Torque specifications:
Upper front: 23Nm
Lower front: 47Nm
Lower rear: 55Nm
This bike has MachineArtMoto X-Head 1250 cylinder head guards. The Touratech crash bars fit over them with a few mm clearance.

One thing is missing is the application of thread locker and anti sieze fluid and appropriate torque setting for individual screws

Yes because cylinder head covers have to come off.

cant access oil filler with them , so im out.

I’ve changed my oil filter multiple times without removing the lower bars.
