      Never had an issue. I have a tune now but had this for 2+ years. It’s still actually on my truck just have it off.
      The people that have issues are the ones that keep it on sport + mode all the way cranked up and gas it all the time. Or they try eco mode. Eco mode has been proved that the throttle body doesn’t get enough voltage so it throws a code.
      Mine stayed on just regular sport mode. Sometimes just city.

    I'm not knocking pedal commander but if I get one of these for my 2011 f150 5.0 it'll be a Banks pedal monster. It has better features, better safety modes and is made here in America. Anyway I hate the "lag" in my truck. It feels like the truck doesn't even want to accelerate until it decides it's going to down shift. Plus when I switch between my boosted mustang and my truck it's hard to drive the Stang because the throttle is so sensitive lol. If they were both the same it would help with muscle memory if that makes sense

    • @5.0jeffro79
      @5.0jeffro79  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yea the banks is nice. My buddy just got one on is truck. He was showing me the features. I really don’t even touch my pedal commander though. I have it where I want and just leave it. On the banks he was showing me a feature that when you go in reverse it switches the throttle back stock so it’s not sensitive. Helps when backing up to trailers.

      You really won’t save gas with this. If you can stay off of the gas you can maybe get .2 more. But no this is more to take the lag out of the throttle and make it responsive. And if you put it really responsive then your mpg could actually suffer.

    • @5.0jeffro79
      @5.0jeffro79  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven’t had a problem. But I also just leave it on sport and don’t gas it everywhere. People having problems are the people that leave it in sport+ and turn it up and gas it everywhere. Or it’s people that put it in eco mode. Where the pedal voltage is lower then stock. So your vehicle has a problem. I use it to just simply make my truck responsive. It’s not a race truck. And this device isn’t for hp gain. It’s for throttle response.

    • @5.0jeffro79
      @5.0jeffro79  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still the same as my regular mode because you don’t always have to get on it. It’s just nice to be able to barely press the pedal and it shift down and gets it. As long as you don’t gas it everywhere you won’t loose mpg. But it’s there if you want to gas it.

    • @5.0jeffro79
      @5.0jeffro79  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope none at all. I think people have issues when they turn it all the way up and romp it all the time. If you just keep it on a good setting and just drive your fine. I would gas it time to time as well. Just drive normal but it’s responsive if you want to give it some gas for sure.

    • @5.0jeffro79
      @5.0jeffro79  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s holding up great. To me the pedal commander is worth it. I think the people that have problems with them drive it all the way up and constantly thrash on the acceleration. I just keep mine in sport mode. It is the best daily driver setting for my truck. The acceleration is there when I want it.
      Tuning is the way to go when you want actually horsepower and shift point changes but then you have to flash your computer and stuff. And if you have a warranty they will probably void it. I just don’t like flashing my computer haha I usually take trucks to a professional to tune.

      @@jeffmeadors6930 Bro, if you still have the truck, get a combo SCT tuner and an email tune from 5 Star. With the Commander and your exhaust setup, you won't want to get out the driver's seat. I've been running a 5 Star perf/tow tune since my truck was just a few months old. Never had an issue(2013 Ecoboost). When you order the tunes, you can select I think up to three extra(maybe four), for only $10. I run the 93 perf/tow daily, and it's plenty enough. Tried the straight performance tune once, and it was insane. But, you can't tow with it, which I do a lot. Any way, tune that thing!!!!

      @@CajunRulez I have an sct x4 with the OZ omega tune but when I put it on my truck something happened and I had a check engine light I couldn’t get rid of. But the guys at Oz said my tune is good I think something when my sct is messed up so I put that on the back burner for now. But with that tune I wouldn’t need the pedal commander it felt great when I had it on. I still have an ext warranty till 2024 so this is why I said screw it and went pedal commander only route for now.

  • @Erik7prc
    @Erik7prc ปีที่แล้ว

    So basically this is what people are trying to get out of a tuner? This seems like a less expensive route

    • @5.0jeffro79
      @5.0jeffro79  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s different then a tuner and a tune. Since the pedal commander only makes the throttle responsive as would a tune. But tunes will change shift points and perimeters of your motor to get more power. The reason I say I have this instead of my tune is because this is really all I wanted out of a Device and it’s also untraceable which is good with a warranty. As far as it being a cheaper option I am not sure. I do have a sct x4 tuner and a tune and it have like $500 in that all together the pedal commander is like $300. There are other throttle devices that are cheaper. I just went with pedal commander because it’s pretty reputable.
