Thanks to you, I was able to install Tiny 11. I can’t believe I had to find a hidden setting to disable a greyed out setting to disable Intel VMD so I would be allowed to install W11 without bloat and telemetry on the device that I own.

This might be a huge deal for me. My friend broke his fan by blowing it with an air compressor. I replaced the fans and the laptop wouldn't recognize his 2060 and the processor wouldn't run above 800mhz.

Figured out the XMP profile change! After doing the button combo press the guy does at the start of this video, go to the Advanced Tab, System Agent Configuration, Memory, Memory Overclocking, then select the drop down menu from Profile!!

@@Roman_Reyad I don’t think you can make it go any higher since your cpu processor won’t allow it. You won’t feel the difference between the speeds either way.
@@Caca-fh2pc It's not called XMP on AMD systems. It's called D.O.C.P. And if your OEM locks XMP/DOCP, then you must use jedec compatible ram to get 3200 or whatever rated speed is. It will say 3200@1.2 volts in the description and have standard timings like 20-20-20 or 22-22-22-22

Hey Rick! I recently got my MSI GF66 and decided to tinker with the bios. I accidentally switched my iGPU off in the settings and saved afterwards which led me to no display in the laptop screen. Can you show me the step by step keystrokes to load the optimized default settings? I tried guiding myself with the video several times and I could not work it out. Many thanks!

Yes I got a solution for both of you. No need of getting inside the BIOS with this method. You just hold the power button on the laptop for three minutes straight and it resets the BIOS settings.
@@laezent5347 havne't needed too yet but most msi laptops have a reset hole on the bottom. it's super tiny pin sized but that's a cmos reset. g63-65

im pretty sure you can set that in the Dragon Center software within windows
Maybe way too late but it can be set in MSI Creator Center, left side on Tools and then Battery Master.
You can choose from
Always 100% (best runtime)
Charge from 70~80%
Charge from 50~60% (best for Battery)
I got the MSI Katana 17 B13VFK , pressing the buttons and it doesn't get me to the bios tho
Must have changed it with newer models
It does work for MSI Modern 14 but you also have to press the "fn" key. But I did not find anything to change.

I dont see the memory or memory overclocking option the french guy was talking about.... the only thing regarding memory after clicking SA Configuration is Memory Configuration and there's nothing about overclocking or profiles or anything :/ please help!

go to the msi support page and see if there is a dragon center program, this will let you change power options
Doesn't work on my Delta 15, my BIOS is also grey instead of red, and going off the comments it seems the grey background is locked ? 🤷♂️

@@rickstechrepairs Not sure if you said this or not, or another video prior to me viewing yours from another channel, it does work, some said only 4 keys to hold but you have to also hold the Function key down aswell, and it seems there are some things that cannot be changed.
i have msi gp73 8re 2019. and it still is with bios instead of uefi.
my i7 2700k pc is with Uefi. I dont get this in a 2000eur laptop. Not to mention bad TN screen from 2014.

You may require to download the chipset driver from msi and put it on a usb, and when windows cannot find the NVMe

I’m looking for the Hotkey (F1 - F12) option for this kind of computer. I’ve looked over every configuration type but I couldn’t find it yet. Ive seen several video and nothing are like this, is there anyway to access it?
I know I can use the hotkeys while holding down Fn, but it’s more convenient without it

@@867star Yeah, I can get into advance bios. Easiest way is to activate fn lock [esc + fn key]. Your fn lock on esc key should light up white. Then you want to press & hold right shift + right ctrl + left alt + f2 once you are in bios. You should see alot more options on each tab of bios than what you originally had. Concerning my original issue: Samsung has released a UEFI version of Secure Erase, so i can do now.

Hey no prob. There are a ton of interesting settings in there & surprisingly, if you have XMP capable RAM installed, 15m supports it. I upgraded stock RAM to Kingston Fury Impact 32GB & discovered it supported it when I upgraded.
Did not work on my MSI WF65. It's very similar to the GF65 but a little bit more for creators. The steps didn't open up any extra Bios options.

Do you know if there is a BIOS setting for dimming zones? I noticed on my mini LED MSI laptop that white text on black displays as grey sometimes due to the dimming. If it's not in BIOS is there another setting?

I don't recommend trying that a bios level, I see comments of people trying it And then getting no display
Das geht nicht auch wenn die Option dafür da ist die Hersteller sind nicht dumm und Koppeln das Display an die apu und dann bekommst du kein Bild mehr. Wenn du das möchtest Hol dir einen vernünftiges Notebook von Schenker oder Clevo barbon da sind die Hidden Optionen auch meist freigeschaltet die Nvidia Karten direkt am Display und die Intel Uhd deaktiviert.

Hey i had a problem with my gpu fan it will not go more up then 2900Rpm in extreme game mode and other mods and the temps are then terrible cpu fan go over 6000rpm. Can i do it for thr gpu here from te advanced bios. I Had rhe problem since one year and must use cooler boost every day :((

Can you make the CPU TDP Limit to 45 Watt, because on my MSI GF63 Thin 10UC just set limit to 25 watt automatically while I'm monitoring on MSI afterburner, it's stuck around 2,5 GHz - 3,5 GHz , cannot reach to 4 GHz for gaming

I'm gonna use this video when I get home from work, I dropped my phone on my BRAND NEW msi sword 15.6 i5 and suddenly it's acting as if stuck on power saving mode, even after a factory reset of the laptop, and multiple other attempts to toggle the setting I'm having no luck. Out of the box it ran pubg just fine (literally the only game I have downloaded to the comouter) even on high graphic settings. as of right now about a month later pubg is literally unplayable even on very low graphic settings, and the laptop literally only has steam and pubg installed, nothing else.
I would return it if there is no signs of damage
If it's struggling to run on low graphics sounds like it only running on the integrated gpu not the dedicated gpu
