I have to be honest... Im watching to support, I dont remember much from season 2. I kinda hate watched the second half of the last season. Anyhow, will like and comment these for the algorithm.
Thank you! I wasn't a fan during the season's initial airing, but rewatching it all these years later I enjoyed it more. I don't know if that's me mellowing or Discovery's last 3 seasons being pretty bland by comparison.
I don’t remember it well enough to have any firm views. I don’t recall disliking the reintroduction of Spock. I DO remember loving Pike from the get go so I’m sure that applies to this episode too. It’s a shame how the control story went in the end which I think was a bit disappointing.
I think you could take Spock out of the season and not have it make much of a difference in the story. Although saying that this did set us up for Strange New Worlds, so that's something to be grateful for.
I think I saw what the writers were trying to do with Spock given he was more emotional in The Cage & before TOS . Yeah I think they bodged it sone what . Personally I enjoyed Discovery. I know it's not for everyones taste. This episode i thought it was going to crossover something like the machine race from the end of Picard Season 1.
The more I rewatch earlier Discovery the more I think I appreciate what it was trying to do. I don't think a lot of it was very good, but I always respected the attempt to try and do something different. An interesting point on the machines from Picard S1. There are similarities, aren't there. Maybe they'll revisit down the line, although I'd be quite happy if they didn't.
I'm not sure what it is with nu trek and robot tentacles, but they can't seem to get enough of them? I think this was actually the episode I stopped watching Discovery. I hadn't just given the show a fair shot up to this point, I'd actively tried to like it and excuse it's terrible writing. I don't think this episode is _terrible_ by Discovery standards, I'd just run out of good will for the show.
Love it? Hate it? How would you rate it? Let me know what you think of this episode below!
I'm onboard with this new era of The Lad of Trek.
Entering my heavy metal era 100%

It`s been a while since I watched the film `Virus` too. Still not shit:)
So glad I'm not the only one!
