After he was assassinated by his own people, just like every true patriot to ever give the US what it needed- Martin Luther king jr, Robert Kennedy, John F. Kennedy, so many good men killed by the CIA because they didn't do a wrong deed, because they did what they knew was right.

The racism between countries in Europe, Asia and America in the 1960s was SO INSANE. Listening to documentaries about the 1960s is like watching a FICTION movie. Look at other decades. The 1960s was when human nature was questioned, and the ideological differences of a communist man versus a capitalist man were SO TENSE that those living around you day to day, in traffic, at your job, many of them WERE LOYAL communists. I am sorry Aksharbar but your comment is VERY simple/unintelligent, not only in scope, but in magnitude to the severity of the state of the world in 1962. JFK was adamantly opposed to Martin Luther King's march on Washington, saying their would be violence. He did adamantly support sending the first 17,000 combat troops to Vietnam, leading to America's biggest disaster, and he supported the overthrow and murder of President Diem. Let us not forget the Bay of Pigs, which is not a description of Bobby's sloppy seconds.

    • @jayfarias8440
      @jayfarias8440 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Jonathan Grant Do remember that he would eventually roll back troops from Vietnam after realizing how many troops would fall if he were not cut down so quick, do mind that after the Bay of Pigs he still held off the communists from war, do keep in mind that eventually he passed the Civil Rights Act for AA to finally be US citizens. JFK learned from his mistakes and moved on from them.

I don't think a Democrat candidate who espouses his major positions today could win a Democrat Primary for a national election. No way. He was more a Conservative leader, who supported traditional family values & teaching in our schools, a strong Conservitive criminal justice system, programs that incentivized being productive, working Citizens, while shedding a positive light on those who took pride in working for the betterment of our country. These are Republican values & positions.

Logan Belt When Russia was moving the nukes into Cuba, it was because we had put nukes in Turkey. Also, the USA isn't the best at anything. New Zealand ranks higher than the US in opportunity, Personal Freedom, and Economic Freedom. Not to mention that more people die from peanut allergies worldwide than people die in acts of terrorism. Interrogate might not be the word you want to use as a euphemism for torture against your fellow man.
I don't serve my country, that's not why it was here. The government of this country was made to handle all of the low level shit that a normal person doesn't have time to do. They were put here to serve us. Titles in government are not an elevation of status, they are simply a passing around of duties from one equal man to another.

The quote sends the message that human rights are universal and are not granted by a government or an organization, but by god, or, better said, we are born with them, no matter where we live. Also, the revolutionary ideas he refers to are the same human rights I was talking about. In a nutshell, he was saying that what we consider human rights a natural thing, around the globe the situation is very different, and those simple rights you don't care about are still an issue in China for example.

Google "Clinton Body Trail" some time. People who oppose the Clintons or threaten to expose their dirty dealings usually end up "committing suicide" days before they were planning to go public with their investigations, and their autopsies get "sealed". Why would the government seal anyone's autopsy??? There are FAR too many mysterious deaths surrounding the Clintons to ignore.

My family sends about $40k a year to the U.S. Treasury in income tax under threat of imprisonment if we don't send it, so I know what I'm doing for "my country". Now "my country" is heading toward forcing an unwanted medication jab on us. Things have changed. I think it's time to ask: What are you doing for me U.S. government?

This comment is ignorant and wrong. You're either bugfuck nuts from drinking rat-shit moonshine, or you're the kind of stupid only produced by generations of enthusiastic inbreeding and deliberate fetal alcohol poisoning:
      - In a broader sense, is the Democratic Party still the party of JFK? Well, let's ask the man himself. Here he is in 1960, accepting the nomination of the Liberal Party in New York and, as he did, explaining "why I consider myself to be a liberal." (th-cam.com/video/O3oY93doosg/w-d-xo.html )
      - First, as he noted in that speech, a key tenet of JFK's liberalism was the separation of church and state, a particularly important issue for him as the first Catholic president. He expressed that clearly in the 1960 campaign in an earlier address: ( th-cam.com/video/mBNlS8Zg1WA/w-d-xo.html )
      - JFK believed that religious minorities (like Catholics at the time) should be free to practice their own faiths as they saw fit. Here's his response to the Supreme Court's 1962 decision banning state-directed prayers in public schools: ( th-cam.com/video/F0sPUpj7Fac/w-d-xo.html )
      - Second, JFK believed in elevating marginalized groups -- women, racial minorities and immigrants.
      - Kennedy was an early proponent of feminism. He established a Presidential Commission on the Status of Women (below), called for paid maternity leave and child care facilities for working women, and secured passage of the Equal Pay Act of 1963. ( th-cam.com/video/ZOO4X8XZw7w/w-d-xo.html )
      - Likewise, Kennedy became -- after some initial inaction -- a champion of voting rights and civil rights for racial minorities as well. Here's the speech he made after Birmingham in June 1963, introducing what would become the Civil Rights Act of 1964. ( th-cam.com/video/7BEhKgoA86U/w-d-xo.html )
      - JFK was, after all, the president who coined the phrase "affirmative action."
      - And, likewise, as a descendant of immigrants, JFK was also an outspoken champion of immigration. America, as he said in this 1963 speech to the Anti-Defamation League, was "a nation of immigrants." ( th-cam.com/video/ewk_9wQVVz4/w-d-xo.html )
      - Third, in addition to these beliefs, JFK was a proponent of strong government programs to promote welfare. He promoted expanding Social Security and called for what would become Medicare in this speech in Madison Square Garden in May 1962. ( th-cam.com/video/VXUJErr_vfo/w-d-xo.html ) On the other side, we should remember, then-actor Ronald Reagan -- on behalf of the American Medical Association -- denounced Kennedy's liberal call for a national health care program as "socialism." ( th-cam.com/video/Bejdhs3jGyw/w-d-xo.html )
      - Speaking of Reagan, some claim JFK's tax cut proposal was a forerunner of Reagan's, but those tax cuts were quite different. JFK wanted a *demand-side* cut, not a supply-side one. His plan dropped the top bracket from 91% to 65%.
      - Conservatives back then hated JFK. They had poster of him all over Dallas just before his assassination.
In short, JFK was a proud liberal who supported separation of church and state, civil rights for racial minorities and women, immigration, big government programs to expand the welfare state, NATO and free trade. Don’t tell me anything about JFK or the Democratic Party when you don’t even know what this man stood for or what the party stands for.

@tooltalk, your criticism misses the mark for lack of context. You're right; Kennedy was 'hawkish', but then again he was a rookie with a very steep learning curve when compared to Eisenhower, who had a bead on international goings on since graduating from West Point in 1915, not to mention his strategic responsibilities during WWII and his knowledge of the situation as NATO Supreme Commander and later President of The United States. So, when giving the most famous Farewell Address since George Washington's, Eisenhower revealed what Kennedy was up against. Once Kennedy learned (he picked up lickety split), he began to question everything others did not want him questioning, which Eisenhower warned about.
