11pm, South Africa. My birthday is Jan 20. I listen to this, the one President who would have brought Russia to its knees. He did not die, he was murdered and so many years later 2024 , still no further information about who was responsible. When he stopped the Russians from further building the ability to destroy America, I was 16 years old. When he was murdered, I cried. Over the years I have built a library about him and the rest of the Kennedy family. I have visited the house where he was borne, I have visited the Kennedy Museum and library and to this day still admire the man and the President he was- a great man who could have done so much for World peace. Rest in peace.

It's just kind of weird how the 34th, 35th, 36th and 37th President of the United States were sat here altogether in this momentous occassion, of course no one knew at that time that LBJ would assume the Presidency in 1963 and Nixon would succeed him after a decade. I also read that President Truman and Gerald Ford attended JFK's inauguration which makes this, retroactively the largest get together of US Presidents.

Trump was in the spotlight for 60 years, given awards and even recognized for helping the African American community, and never called a racist till he beat Hillary, its my turn, Clinton. Biden is as corrupt as they come, using his own son to grift money from China. He's as far from a devout Catholic as possible. The biggest issue is that the Socialists have invaded our Democratic party. Their absolute goal is to break down and divide America in order to take over. They are accomplishing this by convincing Democrats that they are one-and-the-same. This couldn't be further from the truth! They seek to divide us so far from the Republicans, that we hate each other. And they are succeeding. Not so long ago, we were all friends with the Republicans and worked together because our common goal was the betterment of our country. Now that the Socialists have taken over our party, they have highlighted on all the little things that make us different. They've put hate and mistrust in our hearts. We no longer embrace and hold onto the things we have in common with the Republicans. The problem is simple: our focus is on all the negative things. The solution is difficult, but also simple: We need to ignore the petty differences, and focus on the common goal of the betterment of our country. Not the world's betterment -- but our country's first. This is the only way we can move onto a better life for our grandchildren. We have to stand up and be the first to reach across that isle to ask what we have in common with the Conservative side. I do believe true Democrats will be surprised.

I first encountered these words about 10 years ago, printed in my newly re-issued US passport. Powerful. I thought of these words today as we grapple with the question of what to do about Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The question on our collective minds is, "How far are we willing to go?". Are we going to bear ANY burden? Pay ANY cost? Suffer ANY hardship? to protect the liberal democratic aspirations of the Ukrainian people against the hostile overthrow of an authoritarian former Soviet KGB agent? What would Kennedy say if he were alive today? As in his time, we are again haunted by the specter of global nuclear annihilation. It seems only one man knows whether such a catastrophe will come to pass, and it is unclear whether he is actually in his right mind.
What I know for damn sure is, thank god trump didn't get re-elected. We may not be so fortunate next time. So much dumb in this country. Vast staggering amounts of stupid infesting every corner, mostly concentrated in the geographic middle areas. 70 million to be precise. In a very literal sense, they may be the end of us all. They have been trying to literally kill us for the past couple of years, bludgeoning us with their stupidity. And there's no sign that they're taking their foot off the stupidmobile gas pedal. If we are lucky, they will autoeugenics themselves into electoral oblivion. As far as I'm concerned, that would be a big win for both the world, and the nation.

Can someone please explain me how to logically sustain the point that it is a good thing to believe that "the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God." (2:20)?
Aren't the laws that try to impose justice over nature's merciless survival of the fittest written by humans?

If the rights of man come from the state (government), they can be taken away by the state (dictators) as well. I think what President Kennedy is trying to say is that all humans have inherent rights simply because of their humanity, and the government can only enforce laws to protect the inherent (god given) rights humans already posses.

Are we allowed to know the facts? They have never been released to public knowledge. RFK Jr doesn't believe Sirhan Sirhan killed his father. So he was released. Yet his siblings are divided on it.
