First is always Dumbledore, second is Voldy/Grindelwald, third is also Voldy/Grindelwald, fourth place mostly belongs to Snape, because he creates his own spells, masters dark arts, can make patronus as the only one of Deatheaters... and somewhere near behind him is Mcgonagall. That means she doesn't belong to the group of the most powerful wizards, but she is probably the most powerful witch at all. That also sounds as a good goal.

That was in the movie, in the book, McGonagall took care of the Carrows in Ravenclaw tower and then battled Snape in a corridor while the students were asleep. Also, during McGonagall and Snape's duel, Snape did use offensive spells to play the 'bad guy' part in front of McGonagall, Luna and Harry, but McGonagall is just so powerful nothing really damaged her (and the same for Snape, though he was eventually overpowered and fled through a classroom window, not flying out out like in the movie, but jumping out and flying away)

Well, in the books Luna stunned Amycus (the woman) Harry then tortured Alecto (the man) and with McGonagall eventually using the Imperius Curse with him as she both tied the Carrows up, eventually leading to the duel as Snape discovered them on the Ravenclaw headquarters. Yeah, ew.
They should make a real simulation sandbox/story rpg like Elder Scrolls out of this. Complete Character customization, you get sorted, learn spells, set and use your favorite spells for combat, maybe you’re more elemental, dark magic/unforgivable curses, maybe create some custom or uncover secret spells, face all the threats Harry faced throughout the seven books, make friends with characters in the lore or any random NPC and they’ll be you’re “Ron and Heromine”

The thing is they took away one of snape's good moments. In the movie there was a death eater on either side of him and McGonagall pushed harry aside and snape reflected McGonagall's spell on the two death eaters to protect them but still not be noticed that was not a mistake. Snape was trying to protect them but in this it looks like he attacked them cause he set the carrows on them

One thing about the harry potter games that I hated was the fact that whenever you do the patronus charm (wether it was this game or harry potter and the prisoner of Azkaban) they always made it a ball of light and I hated it. I would have wanted to see a giant stag come out of Harry's wand when he does it. Im hoping that Hogwarts legacy will actually have animals come off the charms and not a damn ball of light.
