Tastes are subjective so I get that not everyone is going to find the head hideous like I do, and it does feel bad to hear those words that you'll probably never get a Rhinox, but I do think this really has no strong points.
I do wonder just how much of my negative reaction is motivated by how much I don't like looking at this.

Kingdom Rhinox feels like an original Beast Wars toy, but without the charm of being an original Beast Wars toy.

I think I finally figured out why it is by the way. Dreaded Toy Loyalty.
We live in a universe where a "update" is worse than the thrilling 30 figure that came out 7 years ago. Even the Thrilling 30 Waspinator looks better than this new Kingdom Waspinator.
I don't think the T30 Waspinator was bad, and I think this new one looks fine. I don't see any real issues with it as of yet.
In one of the official hasbro streams, it was mentioned that this figure was designed by Lenny Panzica, the guy that gave us such things as Transformers R. E. D, FoC Bruticus, T30 Windblade and soon will give us The Ark. Strangely enough (If I recall correctly) he had a hand in designing Kingdom Galvatron, a figure that looks magnificent.
Did he design the ERcee? If not this still makes sense, but if so even more so.
So he's just a Veteran Hack not the new guy. That's sad.

As for him being a veteran, yeah that's sad specially considering all of the years he has been involved with Transformers. But it almost feels like most of his figures are rushed to get them quick to market.

@@PerspectiveEnd well, Kingdom Galvatron shows that he can be a bit competent at designing, which makes me wonder how he managed to screw up Rhinox and Scorponok so bad. It's almost like he didn't want to design those but had to take the job.

You know you're one hundred percent right the thrilling 30s rhinox was way better. I still can't believe they messed up the engineering when they had the thrilling thirties mold in their back pocket.
@@oblivionx2000 Kingdom and Earthrise dropped the ball with the supposed "brand new and definitive-for-years-to-come" representations for Rhinox, Ultra Magnus, and Arcee, since the previous iterations of all three (CW for Ultra Magnus, Generations for Rhinox and Arcee) had superior engineering. Like Soundwave-approved superior engineering.
Budget really doesn't seem like an excuse here.

I was at Walmart, and I saw that someone hid this figure on the very top shelf. I took it down, took one good look at it, and was like “nah. They can keep this.” Whoever was hiding that Rhinox, he’s all yours lol

Thank God I have the generations Rhinox. I saw this on the shelf of a target several weeks ago but I passed on thinking, “wow, this looks even worse than it did in the official photography”. I would hate to be stuck with this figure.

That was cathartic. It's not often that they make a figure as objectively terrible as this one. That leg transformation alone shaved a good 3 years of my life expectancy. About the only thing it doesn't completely fail at is functioning as a static rhinoceros figure, but if you want one of those that's why Papo and Schleich and the like exist. I don't know if TJ will ever come to make one for it, but this thing is a Plastic Addict victim if ever I saw one.

My initial reaction to this was "where is he getting this" then realize that 1, my country is slow af on transformers and 2, other reviewers have already done this

I suppose that T30 Rhinox’s after market Value just tripled after this figure got into the hands of reviewers and the public lmao.
And luckily, I got one, ironically after years of hunting and pretty much giving up, MISB at retail value (here, anyway. Transformers have some markup and they can be a bitch), I was sitting on a deal for the day this version was revealed. As soon as I saw the reveal, I forked over the cash to my contact, and I can forever give the double finger to the Kingdom version
Not that much, but yeah it went up.

I mean, for the beast mode, admittedly rhinos aren’t exactly agile creatures
T30 still did it better. Yes, there are rhinos that have Kingdom's body type, but this isn't even that executed well
Yeah but I think they can at least move their head more, and considering how that part doesn't transform at all, they could have done anything with it.
Rhinos can run at 50 to 54 mph so they are pretty freaking fast, no wonder Primal rides Rhinox around

There's actually a pretty easy way to get his top jaw to look right in robot mode. There aren't and pins in it so you can easily take it out and put it back in the other way around. Looks a ton better 👍
Edit: also I don't know if you knew this but he actually has double jointed knees that can pull way past 90°
Funny point out the knees, I only recently discovered them.
There in an awkward place to sell like I did had to change the way I was pushing on them to get them to move fully.
And yeah you can do that with the jaw, but it's not gold and it's not the right shape plus its partsforming.
So I wouldn't count that as all real option.

Rhinox’s toes utilize a massively high-tech pocket dimension to change in size and/or number. This is the only explanation I can think of and as such I am accepting it as my headcanon for now and ever

A fix I’ve seen for the rhinox’s jaw hood is that you can unpeg the lower jaw of the rhino and tab it to the upper jaw’s gaping hole. (Although it is partsforming, isn’t it)
Yeah, and that would still be the wrong color and the wrong shape.
It'd probably be better than the way it is though.
Even worse is that they started development of the ROTB Mainline around halfway through this guy's development, since the film was originally planned to release the year after Kingdom, so they literally realised the problems with this guy before they released him, yet didn't decide to start from scratch because they wanted the entire S1 Maximals in Kingdom, even though they weren't doing all the S1 Predacons.
I mean would it have been so hard for them to just put it in the final wave? Seriously that could have made that last wave more than an afterthought if it got a Decent Rhinox.
No wonder he became a Vehicon in BM. He didn’t want to be a crappy Rhinoceros.

Lucky you guys. I personally wasn't willing to tolerate Magnus and Arcee "just to have representations". I wanted them to be great things I can play with. I may have spent $65 on Titans Return Arcee and $80 on a Legends Ultra Magnus that came with both of his upgraded kits, but with how much fun I have with those two, they were worth it.
Same with Rhinox, though with him, I was lucky to be sitting on a deal for one the day of this trash's reveal.
I want to complete my Maximal team but....I just can't with this toy. Maybe we'll get a third party...I fucking doubt it.

@@PerspectiveEnd Speaking of the worst Arcee, I figured out by sheer accident where the model of her god awful shell mode came from. A mobile game, and like one of the ones that's so bad not even GPlay offers it. The kind you happen to notice on a Chili's at table kiosk, Bumblebee Overdrive, I think its name is. It's still mindboggling how many red flags they looked at making that and still went ahead with it or even doubled down.
Kingdom Rhinox for me is a great figure but has its issues. Those issues being the transformation in the legs and thin plastic. Every time you transform the legs it feels like a complete mess and/or you are going to break it. I found thin plastic in Rhinox’s legs where it holds the tail and there was a stress mark whenever I transform into its original place. I just have to leave out of its original place so I don’t the fear of it breaking.
Yeah, I'll say that while I hate the way it looks for it's inaccuracies, and the fact it makes it uglier, the REAL problem with this figure is the Transformation.
I would never willingly chose to do this transformation if it weren't for putting it on camera.

I swear it's always Walmart that comes in clutch. 90% of the time they have barely anything, I've even seen the Transformer section completely empty, yet I've found Grapple, Snapdragon, and Netflix Cheetor there and nowhere else.

Oh jeez, I already didn’t like the shoulders because of the green in rhino mode(when thrilling 30 didn’t) but then learning they move like POTP Jazz’s killed it for me.
BTW What are you early thoughts on kingdom Waspinator? I didn’t know Wasp “eyes” were actually shaped like that, but otherwise I think thrilling 30 looks better.

I bought the kingdom rhinox a year ago and I tried transforming it and the legs got stuck so it is now in the trash it was a waist of 30$
In my hunts, always happens something like this and it is so consistent, and the last time was searching a "cable magneto" for a phisics class, and at the start, my dad suggested, to go to esteren, and i said, no, it cant be that easy, so we were 2 hours, searching for the cable in like 10 ferreterías, and in every one, they told us, that they didn't have, and the amount we needed was gonna be in 100 pesos, so we went to esteren, and, YES, it was there and in 6 pesos, and we could have saved all that time, risk and gas if I had chosen to go to esteren.

So, this isn’t related to the video, but it’s a question I’m curious about. For your videos, do you normally put as many video tags as you can think of, or do you only put in a couple. I’ve noticed that some of my most popular videos have the fewest tags, and I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or what. I just wandering if a good way to find success is to not to put a million tags on a video (other than making good content consistently, which I do try to do).
I tend to tag my videos I'd say medium, probably about 20 tags per video, but I don't exhaust my brain.
It's usually the Makers, the Product, the Faction, My name, and every version of the Line I can think of so like WFC, WFCS, WFC:S, War For Cybertron, Siege.
Just so that way the things that constantly get abbreviated don't fall through the cracks.
Honestly, I think Rhinox should've pulled a Kingdom Dinobot with Rhinox's lower jaw going where it should with faux parts to make it bigger.

A way they could do bigger hands could be that they have individually articulated fingers that spread out from the forearm

Well, if there's something kinda good I can say about it, it's that in beast mode you can actually get him in that zen pose from the episode Dark Voyage, though he can't sit up straight thanks to the tail.
So I pre ordered wingfinger, scorponok and rhinox from gamestop. Right b4 Father's day. It was supposed to get them all July 1st.... they came a little later but rhinox isn't coming now until October

Are you planning on doing more show reviews? I know you dislike Animated art style calling it hideous (which I take a little insult to for personal reasons) but other than that what do think of the show?
I do plan to look at other shows, I just never have the time, and as for the show, outside the Animation I think it's very good.
Man, this is quite the mixed figure from what I've seen in reviews. Now I'm just wondering how it'll fare with me when I get it in September (at least, that's what Hasbro Pulse UK is currently saying), alongside the T30 figure I managed to get a while back for relatively cheap

So update; I got both Kingdom Rhinox and Scorponok last week after stock finally got sent in to the UK branch of Pulse. And, I ended up really liking both. I thought they would've been average at best but despite their issues, I'm pretty smitten

Yeah, this guy is a pass for me. I was lucky enough to get the Thrilling 30 version for Christmas one year (NEVER saw it in stores, and I was looking for it all over), so I’m not feeling obligated to pick it up just because it’s one of my favorite characters. They should have just re-released the Thrilling 30 one with a few fixes.
Speaking of Beast Wars characters who had good Thrilling 30 figures, what are your thoughts on the new Waspinator? I also have the previous version, but I’m not sure if the new one is better. I’m still picking him up, because I think it still looks good and Waspinator is my absolute favorite Beast Wars character, but it still is a bit disappointing that it doesn’t blow me away like some of the others from Kingdom have.
I think the new Waspinator looks like it's probably going to be good. I do like what I'm seeing, will it be an improvement, I can't say for sure but it's sure possible.

I got kingdom Dinobot I love it so much even though it parts forms I just love it and I can’t get my hands off of him Optimus primal and dinobot are my 2 favorite characters from beast wars and will you pick up B127

i got mine in the mail and was dissatisfied. There is just something about him that doesnt work. The rhino form is alright but is pretty flimsy. Also the gun storage is a pain in the ass.

Not quite. The MO for Kingdom so far, has been Show Accurate robot modes, with Realistic Beast Modes.
This is the only figure that is not like that. And I will say that I complained about a lot more, and a lot more important things than just it being inaccurate to the show.

I like all the beast but I don't know how the rise of the beast designs will look. So I might have to aftermarket all of them.

I feel you, I was going to get this to complete my kingdom beastwars line but now I won't because it's atrocious to the original rhinox. I'm instead going to get the voyager from the 30th line.

Why are mainline transformers almost always have breakage issues?
Did something break? I'd say that's because they try to make them as cheap as possible using as low quality plastics as they can get away with.
The kingdom beast wars megatron is brittle, the kingdom optimus primal has a Amazon report where the waist snapped in half, the chest tab on the kingdom blackarachnia can snap, and the upper coller on the beast mode on he kingdom Cheetor can have parts breaking off!
Yep. Alot of those issues aren't the end of the figure, but they are things that shouldn't happen.
Though I don't think better quality materials would have helped the Blackarachnia, her Tab was just too thin no material was tough enough for that tiny thing.
Yesterday I got the kingdom Dracodon and he looks awesome!
