I’m 90% certain at this point that the guy who designed Kingdom Rhinox’s alt mode was working off images of hippo only to realize it when he got to the head and said “welp, I can’t redo it now”. Like seriously, just give that mould a hippo head, change the colours and I might actually buy it(despite knowing how bad it is). Also, thank you for finally driving the final nail into the coffin for my will to buy Tracks.
You know what I feel you on that. I feel you so hard. It's so disappointing that Tracks didn't turn out. It could have been good even with it's other flaws but the legs are just to Frustrating even Fixed.
The Wfc trilogy toylike was mostly great (let’s not talk about Earthrise). I’m excited for the upcoming Legacy line. All they have to do is take the great engineering, work out the kinks , and it’s going to be a badass toy line. And it’s no longer just G1 which is a plus
Got Rodimus and I really like him, but yeah he's definitely overpriced. I pose him with his trailer as much as possible just to get use of out of the thing lol. I do really like the way he looks lugging around his huge turret backpack. I still need to get Galvatron.
I recently got soundwave and I’m loving him aside from a few joints either being a little loose or a little tight Aside from that, most of this wave was decent, not great but probably ranks higher than most earthrise stuff imo, I’m mostly looking forward to wave 4 when we get the really good new stuff plus the Earth mode red alert
That certainly wasn't the result I expected, but I have my own thoughts. ERcee: I used to give this thing a pass for at least posing well and, minus the face lacking paint, looking like what the character is supposed to regardless of the lack of transformation. Then I started to write a script about the WFC Trilogy's least liked figures and I picked up Thrilling 30 Arcee(Which you might refer to as Generations Arcee) off the BBTS for the sake of comparison, and that one not only blows the WFC effort out of the water, but it's a damn good toy in it's own right. Soundwave and Galvatron: These two are easily the highlights of the wave. Now if only I could find either one of them... Rhinox: Another I haven't been able to find just yet, but that might be for the best, given the robot mode looks more like the faintest recollection of the character, which is baffling in the Beast Wars toyline. Rodimus: I almost picked him up at my local Walmart, but I decided against it because I knew I was only getting him because he was new, and there was no way I can justify the $80 asking price for a Voyager with a trailer I know I'm gonna shove in eternal storage a week later. Skorponok: I actually enjoy this guy, especially once you cheat the ab crunch for more dynamic posing. He's not accurate, but I like the different take. I agree that the transformation and scorpion mode aren't good, and what is with the loose-ass ball joints, especially on the tail? Wingfinger: A cool Fossilizer who isn't that appealing in a stiff, static stance, but get him posing and he's really damn fun. Then again, I'll happily take the parts forming OCs ever since Sixgun sold me on them in Siege. Tracks: Why the clear plastic, why the loose hips, but worst of all, why are the leg tabs nigh-nonexistent? Even for the sake of that leg panel's clearance, that last part is just bad, as it makes him no fun to handle, which is a strength of a good chunk of the Trilogy. Even ERcee feels better to play with. Wheeljack: I have no clue why they re-released this guy. At least ERcee's re-release was meant to tie in with the 86 movie celebration(though in that case, why is Springer left behind in Siege?).
Yep, the Generations Arcee is a Great figure and shows what you can really do with the design if you try, I did a video comparing the two my self a long while back. Scorponok doesn't suck but he does fail the Criteria of WTB. The whole point of this is to find the Be All End all Representations of a character so someone can buy it and be done trying to find THE Definitive version. Yet somehow ERcee still has a Harder Transformation... Go figure. Is that why they Rereleased ERcee? They should have just done the Generations figure again.
Rodimus is the best? By perspective end? LETS GOOOO! It’s awesome that rodimus and galvatron were what made this list hard for you because they are supposed to be arch nemesis’s.

I have the core class soundwave and man I love it so much. It is the pinnacle of my collection and very special to me as it was the first figure that I kept. But it’s just amazing in every way, especially compared to its bigger counterpart, and I completely agree with your ranking of it as 3rd
Wow, kingdom wave 3 has to be the most decisive wave in this community. Personally I’m a huge fan of Rhinox, Tracks, and Scorponok. Also my baby the ark “technically” came out during said wave. Very entertaining video!
Tracks just has that leg issue, otherwise it would be fine, and I mean I guess that's subjective, but I just have no tolerance for Rhinox. Though to be fair WTB like I said isn't evaluating them on their own but as candidates for the be all end all version of a character.
Honestly you're one of the few review TH-camrs that I can really trust, most reviewers are just a little too forgiving with the figures and only go on the looks and articulation but you really go on detail about the figures and as someone who plans every purchase with months in avance, it is really appreciated.
Lol. I JUST got Galvatron yesterday. Was hankering for a review. My kid loves it. He reacted with a big WOW! When I revealed the figure already in cannon mode. And it was a nice plus that, other than the overly tight locking mechanism on the chest, my little guy was able to intuit how to transform the figure back into robot mode all on his own! That’s a rarity. He usually needs help. Made me extra happy. Nabbed the Tracks last week and… I won the QC lottery. My legs are nice and tight. The front hood of the car even clicks together… on one side. Still haven’t seen Soundwave, Rinox or Scorponok _ever._ and I passed on Flyfinger the one time I spotted that mold in stores. Passed on the Ark, too. (Yes, my target got 3). Would pass on Rodimus if I ever saw him, which I haven’t. What about T-Wrecks? Or was that Wave 2? My target had 12 of ‘‘em stacked high in the adult collectibles section. Not one was gone when I came back a week later. Grabbed him because of the loose Beast Machines connection and because the Megs mold is just so damn good. T-Wrecks is a step down, for sure. Some mold degradation the results in floppier joints and permanently bent rubber skin on the tail arm. But the worst issue is definitely the mind numbing torso design in robot mode. It’s just a total blank slate of grey. Not a lick of paint. Not a single design choice. I guess all the paint went into the alt mode and… okay. Good choice. But it still looks literally unfinished. I’ve never disliked a TF paint job so much. The JP repaint features the same issue. The only interesting choice here is the subtle restraint of the decision to add just a _splash_ of yellow paint for both Dino and robo mode’s eyes. Nothing else is yellow. Just the eyes. Really makes them pop. That was cool.
I think I was unaware that you were a parent. But I also feel like I might have known that? Thats a sweet story. I know as a kid back in the BW days I always needed help transforming figures, to the point where my parents kind of hated buying them for me, because it meant that I was going to ask them to transform it for me over and over. Though they got me nearly all the BW line anyways. I have awesome parents. Man I've never even seen a single wave 3 figure in stores. I had to buy it all on line, except for Soundwave. My Tracks's legs are pretty tight now that I worked on that pin and they still don't hold together. T-Wrecks is actually a Target Exclusive figure, and not a part of any wave. And yeah I didn't pick it up for that very reason... Well that and I never found one, but seriously no paint on the chest for shame.

Never thought I'd see the day where kingdom Rodimus wins a what's the best. Just goes to show how both A) Kingdom wave 3 as a whole was just a let down and B) how kingdom rodimus absolutely EXCEEDED expectations. (Maybe a little hyperbolic but you get the idea) Rodimus and Galvatron are the 2 figures on the top of my list right now so it's great to hear not just from you, but the majority of the community that they are very much worth it (not by price though)
No he absolutely exceeded expectations, not enough to justify his existence as a commander but he's still as good as a leader. And yes they are both quite good, and if I'm willing to say something is good you know it's true.

No no. That will happen around the time the G1 Predacons Take Cybertron by them selves against both factions, and they aren't allowed to combine. Yes, plus the upgrade kit adds partsforming, as you have to remove it to get it to transform.
It is a fun Joke to make but Optimus still had a good shot, and Hotrods only mistake was not shooting Megatron in the back when he saw him going for the gun.
I personally like Rhinox but I can see the flaws, I also do really like Wingfinger, probably my favorite of the wave Toaster approved as always Keep up the good work my guy
I only have Rodimus for wave 3, and really enjoy him. I don't think I'll enjoy Galvatron that much because of his wonky proportions, (will still get him to see what he's like) but I will say that he is so close to being the definitive HasTak figure of the character! I do agree Soundwave, Galvatron, and Rodimus are the ones consumers should buy out of this wave!

Thoughts on RTS Tracks? Frankly it's aged amazingly like pretty much ever RTS figure. Secondly... I don't know what's wrong with me... I fucking love both Rhinox and Scorponok. I mean I purposefully transform Scorponok wrong to look better in both modes but both figures are exactly what I want. Rhinox isn't at all accurate to his show model, but my father, who can barely recognize G1 characters post season 1 or the movie, instantly recognized him, and he fills a hole I didn't even knew I had. Plus him, Cheetor, Scorponok, and Megatron all fit together as design reinventions in Kingdom to balance out the super show accuracy of Blackarachnia, Primal, Airazor, Rattrap, and Dinobot and honestly I kind of love it.
Don't have one so I can't really comment on it. Scorponok I can understand. It poses unevenly but it's not awful, it lost this WTB to Wingfinger because it doesn't meet the criteria of a WTB. Rhinox on the other hand... And I mean of course your Dad recongized Rhinox, how many Pistachio Green and Tan Robots are there with a Rhino head on their back? He doesn't completely unlike the character. I think the Generations Rhinox pulls the same kind of Renovations it just handles them better.

i love the galvatron, sadly i had to fix the shoulders myself and stressed the plastic a little. galvatron and roddie are both my favorite kingdom figures so far
Good video. If it were me, I would definitely put Soundwave at 1 just because you can take him wherever you want cause of his size, his cost beats them all out for what you get, and he’s the most fiddle-able of the bunch. But that’s just how my priorities stack up.
Yes but you see that's not a Factor in What's the Best. The whole point of WTB is to find the most Perfect Version of a Character. The one that a person can buy and have THE DEFINITIVE version of a character, or the closest thing to it. So I grade on Accuracy to Classic Interpenetration(or what ever interpretation is most applicable) in each mode, General Appearance, Poseability, Transformation, and Quality.(It can be as good as it wants to be if it breaks it's not the best.) So it being something you can take with you and mess with doesn't factor there.

I've purchased a batch of stainless steel pins off of Ebay with the same dimensions as the ones Hasbro uses (both for Legends/Core/Scout figures and the larger ones used on everything else) except they don't have knurled ends...and they actually are easier to work with and seem to have better surface tension, both when you want them to stay *and* when you want them out. Since Tracks is a goner, I might recommend experimenting with his legs with new pins.
@@PerspectiveEnd I've replaced multiple pins in figures I've been customizing since Combiner Wars thru TR and even MP38 (had to swap waists due to a bad hip joint and the original pin was bent when removing.) That said, I don't have great experience dealing with the one sided push pins with a big flat head. People have been able to remove those, but it's still risky and involves heating up the pin *just enough* to make it possible to lift out, but it's very easy to go too hot and make the plastic melt. As for why these aren't used by Hasbro? Honestly, it's probably because these don't have knurled ends that bite into the plastic, which is better overall when dealing with children playing with them.
I tried using acetone on my studio series stinger. When I got it, the arms were loose. Then like the idiot I was, I used glue on both his arm ball joints and they got stuck. I ended up breaking both arms off. I glued them back again, but the stupid thing was the ball joint was still stuck preventing any motion. After that, I thought acetone would loosen it up, and boy was I wrong. I now have an armless stinger beyond repair . Yay And the Rodimus is 80 bucks???!!! I thought it was 60, which was still expensive by my standards. I’m a freshman college student, so I have pretty cheap standards now. Also love how ERcee got disqualified twice. That made my day. This video is just so hilarious

I've found Galvatron a lot of fun. He just feels right, and he got a good weight. Like, he'd win a sumo mech with most similar sized figures on my shelf.
I got Kingdom Soundwave, at first I loved him, but mine has loose butterflies at the shoulders, a loose knee, and the pegs on the legs to tab them in in alt mode are so tight it started to cause stress marks on the plastic. He looks good on the shelf but man, Hasbro better step up their QC game… I called TWO different GameStops and drove like 20 minutes to get the one copy they had, who’s packaging was in HORRIBLE SHAPE, just because I wanted to actually go out and buy a figure at a brick and mortar store for once rather than online, all for my copy to suck harder than a vacuum made of straws.
I'm sorry to hear that the quality of yours was so bad, it's such a fun little figure and it's sad to hear that it's ruined like that. Ah man that sucks you want to so much work to end up with a dud copy.
My qc on my kingdom skorponok is surprisingly good. The very large scorpion legs do pop off once in a great blue moon but that could be more my fault then the figures. Given i never grew up with the beast wars toyline evin though i was born in 1998, the kingdom skorponok figure is my first representation of the character and love this figure. I never had any of the og beast warriors as a kid. Not a single 1. Never seen the tv show, never read the comics, not a thing until i saw a vhs tape of it but do to the bad audio quality, it was forgettable. Never realized it was even a tranformers vhs tape. Not until i watched the roar of the dinobots DVD and looked stuff up on tfwiki plus animated's episode predacons rising that i got to know the beast era and it's characters who i adore with every fiber of my being. So...yeah, i like kingdom skorponok and no matter what you say, i will always like the figure. I will die on this hill. Sorry for the life story though...😅
Have you since seen the show, or is it just something you know through Wikipedia. And I can see why that would make the figure more appealing to you. I just think they could have done a better job considering all the advancements.
1. Even though I don’t have core class Soundwave, I agree that it’s better than what we got for the Neflix Soundwave. The core class Soundave looks better due to the lack of kibble of off Siege Soundwave and the “cat ears” don’t bother me that much, as there are upgrade kits to fix that. I wish that something similar to core class Soundwave was made instead of what we got. 2. I’ve fixed and broken my Tracks. I had my dad fix Tracks’ legs, and they work great for me now, though I somehow broke one of the tabs on the back of his legs meant to hold the front of the shell of the car 3. I bought the re-release of the ER Wheeljack and it fixed my QC issues I had the last two time I bought him And those are all the wave 3 figures I have as of the time of writing this.
@@PerspectiveEnd I have no idea how I broke Tracks’ back leg tab. Wheeljack was my first WFC figure, though he had an issue in his arm, so I bought another copy to see if that was a one off thing. Same problem, so I bought Kingdom Wheeljack, he fixed the shoulder problem and the tiny front windscreens no longer fall off.
Galvatron and rodimus are the only 2 of this wave I bothered with, and glad I did because they are in my top 5 of the collection. All your videos are bangers but this one might be my favourite in a while. when you threw the rhinox into frame during the rankings I laughed out loud
Really Rhinox was the one that got you, that was like the 5th figure that I threw into frame. And you are the second person to say that this was your favorite in a while, I was much more proud of the other two I did this week, I feel like this video just wasn't to my normal standard.
I think that maybe Rodimus having almost fully articulated hands is what sets him up over Galvatron. (That and the funky way that Galvy's shoulders are assembled) They're certainly a bit better than what the smaller size of SS86-4 Hot Rod's & Earthrise Optimus Prime's hands allowed. I do hope Legacy keeps it up going forward; Hasbro & Takara should apply the wizardry they learned from Siege Jetfire & Kingdom Rodimus, and apply it to Legacy Motormaster (the Rodimus hand articulation for Motormaster, the Jetfire hand "articulation" for Menasor) and all Leader class figures (Rodimus style). Maybe even apply the Optimus & Hot Rod hand articulation to Voyagers & larger Deluxes (NOT them tiny Legends with extra stuff that they passed off as Deluxes).
I would not say the opening hands really does it for me, I think most importantly is the Knees on Rodimus. I think the Motor Master will probably have better hands than Jetfire did, but we will see.
Here, in Greece, Rodimus is 100 euros, which is more powerful than dollars. So if it was at your country, with my county's price, it would be around 110 bucks! 80 euros seems like a steal to me!
See here's the thing, it's not worth either price. I'm sorry that you are getting screwed over even harder but neither of us should have to pay what they are charging.
Tbh I think wingfinger was probably the best fossilizer in the whole line and it's a shame to that he doesn't have a character trait or a cameo in the wfc Netflix show but let's be real I think it's better that he didn't show up in the show for obvious reasons
when it comes to voyagers being leaders and higher, im sorry but i love paying the extra price for more accessories or chunky transformers, i loved every single leader i got and i got them all other then doubledealer and I LOVE RODIMUS and i love the 86 hot rod a little more
Core class soundwave is so good when I decided to grab one I could no longer find any, though every store has 100 core class Starscreams. BW Scorpinok love my original one who only has ball joints in his legs. Tracks burned my heart for weeks now I've seen and wanted him but I cannot get over those damn feet. I'll pray for a new iteration of tracks. Galvatron, I use my Energon Megatron as Galvatron for my collection. Likewise SS Hotrod is my rodimus.

i think that dracodon looks trash because it's budget is used for soundwave to make soundwave look good. Honestly, i am ok with that because core class soundwave is soo good
I don't think that many people would disagree with you on this one and for my list which includes the exclusive like transmutate , t wrecks , kingdom red alert and autobot ark along with mainframe my list would be 1. Rodimus Prime 2 . Galvatron 3 . T Wrecks 4 . Autobot Ark and Main Frame 5 . Wingfinger 6 . Kingdom Red Alert 7. Transmutate 8 . Core Class Soundwave 9 . Dracodone 10 . Scorponok 11 . Rhinox 12 . Tracks Also I know you don't care about the haslab victory saber but today is the last day and looks like it's going get all three tiers which I'm glad since , I backed it but I do find it strange that it got that many backers in just that short amount of time .
Personally I don't believe that it's true that it hit all 3 tiers. I think Hasbro is faking that. No one was backing that then like 5 days from the end it gets like 3 times the number of backers it had. I call BS. Why's Redalert Transmutate, and Soundwave so low on your list.
I thought I would hate Tracks, but I got a perfect copy, and I really like him. He looks charismatic and handsome, and looks good in robot mode on the shelf with my other G1 characters.
That's great to hear. Like I said, it would be fine if it weren't flat out disqualified for the terrible ankle problem. I don't know how it works for some people but for me it it's infuriatingly untenable.
Well the Matrix did messed up galvatron and mutated scourge in that G1 episode, it even gave Megatron nightmares in kingdom because he's not the weilder.

I won the QC lottery with tracks everything holds together so well not just decently, well and I think I’m able to appreciate it at its best which would be average if it didn’t have problems
Yeah I discovered that while filming this. I didn't have the time to make an Addendum, but I was SHOCKED, like how did I never find the other knee joint earlier.
Man don't remind me of the Barbie Motor Home, the commercials for that were so good that as a Kid even I wanted one to put my Transformers in. That was an effective add campaign I'll tell you what. Now I just think back on that and Groan.
I have a feeling that for kingdom wave 4 what’s the best your choices will be: pipes will be last, then shadow panther, then slammer, then waspinator and 1st place would be Tigatron.
Personally my favourite figure from wave 3 would have to be Galvatron mainly because he feels and looks like an expensive figure and has got a decent alt-mode. I own Tracks as well, he’s not as good as I thought he’d be but I’m still satisfied with him and am glad that he takes the final spot in my Autobot team in the WFC trilogy. On Scorponok, I might still get him but wait until it comes to Christmas to obtain him. When Kingdom wave 4 releases this year I’ve got my sights on both Waspinator and Tigertron as my final two figures of the line and will close my collection of the WFC trilogy as a whole.

Very sad to see the injustice done to Tracks, considering he's so popular and yet very seldom gets a new toy. I think the last toy he got (not counting Masterpiece) was the RtS Turbo Tracks, which was released about 11 years ago. EDIT: We got three versions of Red Alert in the WFC Trilogy (Siege, Netflix, Kingdom Walgreens Exclusive), and two versions of Deep Cover (Gen Selects, Netflix). Tracks only got one new toy, and it came out subpar :(
Went to a local Kmart today to look for some new figures and found the wave 3 Netflix voyagers figures and the 86 Wreck Gar and Sweeps. The Sweeps are even lazier that I thought but I was amazed at how the Wreck Gar looked. There was only 1 left so I snapped it up and WOW!!!! This figure is really good with the waist being the only real problem as it doesn't like to stay together to well but it behaves most of the time. Also wasn't expecting the thing to be as big as he is, but maybe that was because I always thought of him as slightly taller that Hot Rod (Junkion dance party scene). Anyway, this figure is an amazing pick up and I hope that you are thinking about getting this amazing figure. Next on my list is to get Gnaw and Slug from Amazon at some point.
Kmart still exists? What's it like. In the US it was like the Ultra Low Rent Target. Like shittier than Walmart by alot and small like Target. And believe me I have designs on almost all of the 86 figures.
The plastic on my Kingdom Galvatron feels not brittle tbh (although the slots on the chest to peg the arms on both robot and cannon mode are pretty misshapen), he feels really heavy and chonky, also the "battle damage" can be mostly removed with 70 percent alcohol.
Check Amazon warehouse deals for open box copies of Rodimus. Got mine for 60, they're all priced at a seemingly random discount, but I've seen it dip that low a few times since then. Heads up to anyone still looking!
@@PerspectiveEnd It's Amazon's word for their open box or pre owned stuff. Basically, they'll list it under "save with used" or something and list "Amazon Warehouse" as the seller. Atm, I see three Rodimi for $68 each (not fantastic but it's something). So far, he's the only Transformer I've seen consistently sold as open box, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I hear all this stuff about Tracks, but I was lucky enough to find Road Rage (and Red Alert) at my local stores, and Road rage doesn't seem to have these same issues. Once I figured out where the legs sat in place, I was able to clip them in and they have no issue staying in place. Yes, the legs are loose, but I'd be willing to suggest that Hasbro were able to fix some of their mistakes with this re-release of the mould. Her head also doesn't collide with the post on her back, allowing for a better range of movement, so by the looks of it, it seems to be a superior release.
I've been trying to find a Road Rage to see if it has the same problems. Oh man I didn't even think of how the different headsculpt could work to improve it.

Honestly surprised by the outcome. I have yet to see core class Soundwave in the wild. I've seen rodimus a few times but, I can't justify it price wise. This wave is the wave I have the least amount of figures from. I do enjoy my Galvatron though.

I’m 90% certain at this point that the guy who designed Kingdom Rhinox’s alt mode was working off images of hippo only to realize it when he got to the head and said “welp, I can’t redo it now”. Like seriously, just give that mould a hippo head, change the colours and I might actually buy it(despite knowing how bad it is).
Also, thank you for finally driving the final nail into the coffin for my will to buy Tracks.

The Wfc trilogy toylike was mostly great (let’s not talk about Earthrise). I’m excited for the upcoming Legacy line. All they have to do is take the great engineering, work out the kinks , and it’s going to be a badass toy line. And it’s no longer just G1 which is a plus
It was mostly great, it's just sad that Kingdom probably had the single Clunkiest wave out of all of them. Though Wave 1 and 2 do balance that out.

Got Rodimus and I really like him, but yeah he's definitely overpriced. I pose him with his trailer as much as possible just to get use of out of the thing lol. I do really like the way he looks lugging around his huge turret backpack. I still need to get Galvatron.

I recently got soundwave and I’m loving him aside from a few joints either being a little loose or a little tight
Aside from that, most of this wave was decent, not great but probably ranks higher than most earthrise stuff imo, I’m mostly looking forward to wave 4 when we get the really good new stuff plus the Earth mode red alert

That Wheeljack figure is something I bought and ALL of the Earthrise problems were fixed.
That certainly wasn't the result I expected, but I have my own thoughts.
ERcee: I used to give this thing a pass for at least posing well and, minus the face lacking paint, looking like what the character is supposed to regardless of the lack of transformation. Then I started to write a script about the WFC Trilogy's least liked figures and I picked up Thrilling 30 Arcee(Which you might refer to as Generations Arcee) off the BBTS for the sake of comparison, and that one not only blows the WFC effort out of the water, but it's a damn good toy in it's own right.
Soundwave and Galvatron: These two are easily the highlights of the wave. Now if only I could find either one of them...
Rhinox: Another I haven't been able to find just yet, but that might be for the best, given the robot mode looks more like the faintest recollection of the character, which is baffling in the Beast Wars toyline.
Rodimus: I almost picked him up at my local Walmart, but I decided against it because I knew I was only getting him because he was new, and there was no way I can justify the $80 asking price for a Voyager with a trailer I know I'm gonna shove in eternal storage a week later.
Skorponok: I actually enjoy this guy, especially once you cheat the ab crunch for more dynamic posing. He's not accurate, but I like the different take. I agree that the transformation and scorpion mode aren't good, and what is with the loose-ass ball joints, especially on the tail?
Wingfinger: A cool Fossilizer who isn't that appealing in a stiff, static stance, but get him posing and he's really damn fun. Then again, I'll happily take the parts forming OCs ever since Sixgun sold me on them in Siege.
Tracks: Why the clear plastic, why the loose hips, but worst of all, why are the leg tabs nigh-nonexistent? Even for the sake of that leg panel's clearance, that last part is just bad, as it makes him no fun to handle, which is a strength of a good chunk of the Trilogy. Even ERcee feels better to play with.
Wheeljack: I have no clue why they re-released this guy. At least ERcee's re-release was meant to tie in with the 86 movie celebration(though in that case, why is Springer left behind in Siege?).
Yep, the Generations Arcee is a Great figure and shows what you can really do with the design if you try, I did a video comparing the two my self a long while back.
Scorponok doesn't suck but he does fail the Criteria of WTB. The whole point of this is to find the Be All End all Representations of a character so someone can buy it and be done trying to find THE Definitive version.
Yet somehow ERcee still has a Harder Transformation... Go figure.
Is that why they Rereleased ERcee? They should have just done the Generations figure again.

I have the core class soundwave and man I love it so much. It is the pinnacle of my collection and very special to me as it was the first figure that I kept. But it’s just amazing in every way, especially compared to its bigger counterpart, and I completely agree with your ranking of it as 3rd

Honestly you're one of the few review TH-camrs that I can really trust, most reviewers are just a little too forgiving with the figures and only go on the looks and articulation but you really go on detail about the figures and as someone who plans every purchase with months in avance, it is really appreciated.

Lol. I JUST got Galvatron yesterday. Was hankering for a review. My kid loves it. He reacted with a big WOW! When I revealed the figure already in cannon mode. And it was a nice plus that, other than the overly tight locking mechanism on the chest, my little guy was able to intuit how to transform the figure back into robot mode all on his own! That’s a rarity. He usually needs help. Made me extra happy.
Nabbed the Tracks last week and… I won the QC lottery. My legs are nice and tight. The front hood of the car even clicks together… on one side. Still haven’t seen Soundwave, Rinox or Scorponok _ever._ and I passed on Flyfinger the one time I spotted that mold in stores. Passed on the Ark, too. (Yes, my target got 3). Would pass on Rodimus if I ever saw him, which I haven’t.
What about T-Wrecks? Or was that Wave 2? My target had 12 of ‘‘em stacked high in the adult collectibles section. Not one was gone when I came back a week later. Grabbed him because of the loose Beast Machines connection and because the Megs mold is just so damn good. T-Wrecks is a step down, for sure. Some mold degradation the results in floppier joints and permanently bent rubber skin on the tail arm. But the worst issue is definitely the mind numbing torso design in robot mode. It’s just a total blank slate of grey. Not a lick of paint. Not a single design choice. I guess all the paint went into the alt mode and… okay. Good choice. But it still looks literally unfinished. I’ve never disliked a TF paint job so much. The JP repaint features the same issue. The only interesting choice here is the subtle restraint of the decision to add just a _splash_ of yellow paint for both Dino and robo mode’s eyes. Nothing else is yellow. Just the eyes. Really makes them pop. That was cool.
I think I was unaware that you were a parent. But I also feel like I might have known that? Thats a sweet story. I know as a kid back in the BW days I always needed help transforming figures, to the point where my parents kind of hated buying them for me, because it meant that I was going to ask them to transform it for me over and over.
Though they got me nearly all the BW line anyways. I have awesome parents.
Man I've never even seen a single wave 3 figure in stores. I had to buy it all on line, except for Soundwave.
My Tracks's legs are pretty tight now that I worked on that pin and they still don't hold together.

A) Kingdom wave 3 as a whole was just a let down and B) how kingdom rodimus absolutely EXCEEDED expectations. (Maybe a little hyperbolic but you get the idea)
Rodimus and Galvatron are the 2 figures on the top of my list right now so it's great to hear not just from you, but the majority of the community that they are very much worth it (not by price though)
No he absolutely exceeded expectations, not enough to justify his existence as a commander but he's still as good as a leader.

It is a fun Joke to make but Optimus still had a good shot, and Hotrods only mistake was not shooting Megatron in the back when he saw him going for the gun.

I only have Rodimus for wave 3, and really enjoy him. I don't think I'll enjoy Galvatron that much because of his wonky proportions, (will still get him to see what he's like) but I will say that he is so close to being the definitive HasTak figure of the character! I do agree Soundwave, Galvatron, and Rodimus are the ones consumers should buy out of this wave!

Thoughts on RTS Tracks? Frankly it's aged amazingly like pretty much ever RTS figure.
Secondly... I don't know what's wrong with me... I fucking love both Rhinox and Scorponok. I mean I purposefully transform Scorponok wrong to look better in both modes but both figures are exactly what I want. Rhinox isn't at all accurate to his show model, but my father, who can barely recognize G1 characters post season 1 or the movie, instantly recognized him, and he fills a hole I didn't even knew I had. Plus him, Cheetor, Scorponok, and Megatron all fit together as design reinventions in Kingdom to balance out the super show accuracy of Blackarachnia, Primal, Airazor, Rattrap, and Dinobot and honestly I kind of love it.
Don't have one so I can't really comment on it.
Scorponok I can understand. It poses unevenly but it's not awful, it lost this WTB to Wingfinger because it doesn't meet the criteria of a WTB.
Rhinox on the other hand... And I mean of course your Dad recongized Rhinox, how many Pistachio Green and Tan Robots are there with a Rhino head on their back? He doesn't completely unlike the character.
I think the Generations Rhinox pulls the same kind of Renovations it just handles them better.

Yeah that's kind of why I don't want to try to fix it, I'm ok with the way it is and it would look worse if I damaged it trying to fix it.
Good video. If it were me, I would definitely put Soundwave at 1 just because you can take him wherever you want cause of his size, his cost beats them all out for what you get, and he’s the most fiddle-able of the bunch. But that’s just how my priorities stack up.
Yes but you see that's not a Factor in What's the Best. The whole point of WTB is to find the most Perfect Version of a Character.
The one that a person can buy and have THE DEFINITIVE version of a character, or the closest thing to it.
So I grade on Accuracy to Classic Interpenetration(or what ever interpretation is most applicable) in each mode, General Appearance, Poseability, Transformation, and Quality.(It can be as good as it wants to be if it breaks it's not the best.)
So it being something you can take with you and mess with doesn't factor there.

I've purchased a batch of stainless steel pins off of Ebay with the same dimensions as the ones Hasbro uses (both for Legends/Core/Scout figures and the larger ones used on everything else) except they don't have knurled ends...and they actually are easier to work with and seem to have better surface tension, both when you want them to stay *and* when you want them out.
Since Tracks is a goner, I might recommend experimenting with his legs with new pins.

@@PerspectiveEnd I've replaced multiple pins in figures I've been customizing since Combiner Wars thru TR and even MP38 (had to swap waists due to a bad hip joint and the original pin was bent when removing.)
That said, I don't have great experience dealing with the one sided push pins with a big flat head. People have been able to remove those, but it's still risky and involves heating up the pin *just enough* to make it possible to lift out, but it's very easy to go too hot and make the plastic melt.
As for why these aren't used by Hasbro? Honestly, it's probably because these don't have knurled ends that bite into the plastic, which is better overall when dealing with children playing with them.
I tried using acetone on my studio series stinger. When I got it, the arms were loose. Then like the idiot I was, I used glue on both his arm ball joints and they got stuck. I ended up breaking both arms off. I glued them back again, but the stupid thing was the ball joint was still stuck preventing any motion. After that, I thought acetone would loosen it up, and boy was I wrong. I now have an armless stinger beyond repair . Yay
And the Rodimus is 80 bucks???!!! I thought it was 60, which was still expensive by my standards. I’m a freshman college student, so I have pretty cheap standards now. Also love how ERcee got disqualified twice. That made my day. This video is just so hilarious

I got Kingdom Soundwave, at first I loved him, but mine has loose butterflies at the shoulders, a loose knee, and the pegs on the legs to tab them in in alt mode are so tight it started to cause stress marks on the plastic.
He looks good on the shelf but man, Hasbro better step up their QC game…
I called TWO different GameStops and drove like 20 minutes to get the one copy they had, who’s packaging was in HORRIBLE SHAPE, just because I wanted to actually go out and buy a figure at a brick and mortar store for once rather than online, all for my copy to suck harder than a vacuum made of straws.

My qc on my kingdom skorponok is surprisingly good. The very large scorpion legs do pop off once in a great blue moon but that could be more my fault then the figures. Given i never grew up with the beast wars toyline evin though i was born in 1998, the kingdom skorponok figure is my first representation of the character and love this figure. I never had any of the og beast warriors as a kid. Not a single 1. Never seen the tv show, never read the comics, not a thing until i saw a vhs tape of it but do to the bad audio quality, it was forgettable. Never realized it was even a tranformers vhs tape. Not until i watched the roar of the dinobots DVD and looked stuff up on tfwiki plus animated's episode predacons rising that i got to know the beast era and it's characters who i adore with every fiber of my being. So...yeah, i like kingdom skorponok and no matter what you say, i will always like the figure. I will die on this hill. Sorry for the life story though...😅

I didn't even know that was possible, as mine falls to bits if you look at it wrong, and every report I've ever seen said about the same thing.
1. Even though I don’t have core class Soundwave, I agree that it’s better than what we got for the Neflix Soundwave. The core class Soundave looks better due to the lack of kibble of off Siege Soundwave and the “cat ears” don’t bother me that much, as there are upgrade kits to fix that. I wish that something similar to core class Soundwave was made instead of what we got.
2. I’ve fixed and broken my Tracks. I had my dad fix Tracks’ legs, and they work great for me now, though I somehow broke one of the tabs on the back of his legs meant to hold the front of the shell of the car
3. I bought the re-release of the ER Wheeljack and it fixed my QC issues I had the last two time I bought him
And those are all the wave 3 figures I have as of the time of writing this.

Wheeljack was my first WFC figure, though he had an issue in his arm, so I bought another copy to see if that was a one off thing. Same problem, so I bought Kingdom Wheeljack, he fixed the shoulder problem and the tiny front windscreens no longer fall off.

Galvatron and rodimus are the only 2 of this wave I bothered with, and glad I did because they are in my top 5 of the collection. All your videos are bangers but this one might be my favourite in a while. when you threw the rhinox into frame during the rankings I laughed out loud

Transforming Tracks was Scary, he’s in car mode now and that looks nice. But every tab felt like luck when it didn’t snap.
Yep, it's ball rendingly unfun to deal with that aspect.
I think that maybe Rodimus having almost fully articulated hands is what sets him up over Galvatron. (That and the funky way that Galvy's shoulders are assembled) They're certainly a bit better than what the smaller size of SS86-4 Hot Rod's & Earthrise Optimus Prime's hands allowed.
I do hope Legacy keeps it up going forward; Hasbro & Takara should apply the wizardry they learned from Siege Jetfire & Kingdom Rodimus, and apply it to Legacy Motormaster (the Rodimus hand articulation for Motormaster, the Jetfire hand "articulation" for Menasor) and all Leader class figures (Rodimus style). Maybe even apply the Optimus & Hot Rod hand articulation to Voyagers & larger Deluxes (NOT them tiny Legends with extra stuff that they passed off as Deluxes).
I would not say the opening hands really does it for me, I think most importantly is the Knees on Rodimus.
I think the Motor Master will probably have better hands than Jetfire did, but we will see.

Tbh I think wingfinger was probably the best fossilizer in the whole line and it's a shame to that he doesn't have a character trait or a cameo in the wfc Netflix show but let's be real I think it's better that he didn't show up in the show for obvious reasons

Core class soundwave is so good when I decided to grab one I could no longer find any, though every store has 100 core class Starscreams. BW Scorpinok love my original one who only has ball joints in his legs. Tracks burned my heart for weeks now I've seen and wanted him but I cannot get over those damn feet. I'll pray for a new iteration of tracks. Galvatron, I use my Energon Megatron as Galvatron for my collection. Likewise SS Hotrod is my rodimus.
Core class Starscream is good, not as good but good.
I was weirdly fond of BW Scorponok as a Child.
And yeah Tracks is such a waste.

Well the Matrix did messed up galvatron and mutated scourge in that G1 episode, it even gave Megatron nightmares in kingdom because he's not the weilder.

I won the QC lottery with tracks everything holds together so well not just decently, well and I think I’m able to appreciate it at its best which would be average if it didn’t have problems
I recommend glue in tabs for tracks and turns out, rhinox has a deeper knee bend
Yeah I discovered that while filming this. I didn't have the time to make an Addendum, but I was SHOCKED, like how did I never find the other knee joint earlier.

Personally my favourite figure from wave 3 would have to be Galvatron mainly because he feels and looks like an expensive figure and has got a decent alt-mode. I own Tracks as well, he’s not as good as I thought he’d be but I’m still satisfied with him and am glad that he takes the final spot in my Autobot team in the WFC trilogy. On Scorponok, I might still get him but wait until it comes to Christmas to obtain him. When Kingdom wave 4 releases this year I’ve got my sights on both Waspinator and Tigertron as my final two figures of the line and will close my collection of the WFC trilogy as a whole.
Wave four is looking like an Improvement. And Galvatron is my Favorite figure from the wave too.

Very sad to see the injustice done to Tracks, considering he's so popular and yet very seldom gets a new toy. I think the last toy he got (not counting Masterpiece) was the RtS Turbo Tracks, which was released about 11 years ago.
EDIT: We got three versions of Red Alert in the WFC Trilogy (Siege, Netflix, Kingdom Walgreens Exclusive), and two versions of Deep Cover (Gen Selects, Netflix). Tracks only got one new toy, and it came out subpar :(
And you can thank Impactor for no Siege Tracks too. So even when he had a chance he still got screwed.
Went to a local Kmart today to look for some new figures and found the wave 3 Netflix voyagers figures and the 86 Wreck Gar and Sweeps. The Sweeps are even lazier that I thought but I was amazed at how the Wreck Gar looked. There was only 1 left so I snapped it up and WOW!!!! This figure is really good with the waist being the only real problem as it doesn't like to stay together to well but it behaves most of the time. Also wasn't expecting the thing to be as big as he is, but maybe that was because I always thought of him as slightly taller that Hot Rod (Junkion dance party scene). Anyway, this figure is an amazing pick up and I hope that you are thinking about getting this amazing figure. Next on my list is to get Gnaw and Slug from Amazon at some point.

The plastic on my Kingdom Galvatron feels not brittle tbh (although the slots on the chest to peg the arms on both robot and cannon mode are pretty misshapen), he feels really heavy and chonky, also the "battle damage" can be mostly removed with 70 percent alcohol.
I don't think he's going to shatter if I drop him, but his tabs are getting pretty chewed up through normal use.

@@PerspectiveEnd It's Amazon's word for their open box or pre owned stuff. Basically, they'll list it under "save with used" or something and list "Amazon Warehouse" as the seller. Atm, I see three Rodimi for $68 each (not fantastic but it's something). So far, he's the only Transformer I've seen consistently sold as open box, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I hear all this stuff about Tracks, but I was lucky enough to find Road Rage (and Red Alert) at my local stores, and Road rage doesn't seem to have these same issues. Once I figured out where the legs sat in place, I was able to clip them in and they have no issue staying in place. Yes, the legs are loose, but I'd be willing to suggest that Hasbro were able to fix some of their mistakes with this re-release of the mould. Her head also doesn't collide with the post on her back, allowing for a better range of movement, so by the looks of it, it seems to be a superior release.
I've been trying to find a Road Rage to see if it has the same problems.

Honestly surprised by the outcome. I have yet to see core class Soundwave in the wild. I've seen rodimus a few times but, I can't justify it price wise. This wave is the wave I have the least amount of figures from. I do enjoy my Galvatron though.
