I have a headcanon for the Mutant Tigatron. I like to imagine him as a separate character: a Predacon named Shearcon(a play on the tiger character Shere Khan from “The Jungle Book”), who is more visceral and brutal than Tigatron and could serve as his rival. He’s a firm believer in “survival of the fittest” and believes everything is fodder for his (and the Predacons’) conquest of Earth. His special weapon is a set of claws that can shear any material(hence the name).
I also have a headcanon for Silverstreak. He’s Bluestreak’s twin brother, and is a bit of a jokester. He was originally the silver and red one, but he and Bluestreak occasionally swapped paint schemes as a way to mess with everyone. He hasn’t been seen since the early days of the war. Some people say he died at the Battle of Crystal City. Others say he fled to one of Cybertron’s colony worlds. And a certain few can swear they saw him roaming around Earth in a black and purple police car alternate mode, with a distinct decal that reads “To punish and enslave.” But whatever the case, Bluestreak keeps his brother’s memory alive by wearing Silverstreak’s silver and red colors with pride, forever confusing his fellow Autobots.
Wow, that got cringy real quick.
I mean is it a play on his name when it's just the two halves stuck together. I feel like it needs to have a double meaning to be a play on that.
But yes this would work better as a Villain, and it's not even non cannon since this guy doesn't have a faction badge.
I mean Barricade is more Prowls rival, not Bluestreaks.

Huh, I didn’t realize he didn’t have a badge until you said something. But that’s just another thing that could make the idea work.
Also, I’m just sayin, have you ever seen Silverstreak and Barricade in the same room together? Cause that would honestly be cool to see in a Legacy series. But the Roosterteeth team would probably botch it like they did the rest of the WFC Trilogy.

The Skywarp one is so frustrating too, because his picture on the official Hasbro site depict him with both the null-rays _and_ the fork, complete with the fork having a cooler deco that makes it look like there's a burning energy core inside of ridges on it. I still love the Skywarp (even if mine had one of his pegs break so his chest no longer clips into place), but god DAMN that was a missed opportunity.
As soon as this video was over, my little brother stumbled in Drunk off his ass and stepped on Skywarp, so now a wrong weapon is the least of that figures problems.
I only got the skywarp because I'm committed to trying to get every core class figure
I was honestly tempted to get the Starscream just for the swords alone. I really wish Hasbro would release accessory packs sometimes.
Yeah. I would buy accessory packs my self.
I see the yellowing issue more and more, and I honestly think it's due to Hasbro going cheap on the plastic mix, because I've heard of cyclonus and Siege Megatron having the same issue with their gray plastics.
I do not have that experience with my Galvatron nor Cyclonus, and I've had them a lot longer, so I can say that those ones may be a bit exaggerated.

It would be really cool if someone made a compound to fix yellowed plastic like the joint compound stuff.
I believe the stuff already exists, it's just a little dangerous to the finish of the figure.
I really wish Hasbro would make some repaints of bayverse/Knightverse studio series molds. I would KILL for a Jet Shatter in skywarp colors, or a ROTF Optimus in nemesis colors, maybe even a barricade in prowl colors. The possibilities are so damn awesome.
It's so annoying how there is Knight Optimus, and now also Travis Knight Optimus, so confusing.
As for Jet Shatter in Skywarp colors, that could be cool yes.
man even with a good mold like the earthrise dastans Hasbro's QC still finds a way to screw it up

I would like to see more of these repaint/retool compilation videos. Also the colorscheme on the shattered glass Starscream makes me think of an ice cream sundae with strawberry sauce and crushed oreos

Nice video. The short segments were extremely enjoyable. Only one of these I want to pick up is silverstreak, so that I may paint him into prowl. You should totally look at MMC mirage next though.

4:12 the Yellow windshield on blue reminds me of the old lego space aesthetic. I didn’t even grow up with it but it still feels nostalgic to me.

I renamed Mutant Tigatron, "Tigertronus" and treat him as a Predacon. lol Thank you for giving praise to BW Buzzsaw PerspectiveEnd, since I really want to get a hold of this figure. Keep on being amazing.

Glad you picked up Shattered glass starscream. I don’t even like the SG concept but the figure makes a perfect jetfire with the commander being skyfire, since they’re basically 2 different characters

Silverstreak is honestly one of my favorite figures as it's a amazing color deco and I'm thinking of getting a second one.

Not sure if it will help at all, but there are ways to reverse yellowing on certain types of plastic.
You may already be familiar with it as a retro videogame collector, but apparently one of the ingredients that you get in a hair coloring mix will remove yellowing if exposed to UV Light (sunlight)
Yeah there are a few things I could try, but so far this doesn't bother me so bad since it's just on his back.

There are a good number of people who seem to have had good luck with it, but an equal number who had the opposite experience. So I don't know if I got done dirty, or you got done fortunate.

dude, the head doesn't look off or wrong at all, it's exactly how SG Blurr's head always looked like since his first figure, a repaint of the cybertron blurr. Not to mention the lightning paint job which was also present in said cybertron repaint.
The head looks like a creepier version of the original Botcon head, but it doesn't quite match up with it's own comic at all, and it doesn't fit the character who is just a Mercenary, this looks like the head of the torture expert.

I got Silverstreak for my little brother's birthday, along with Legacy Skids, I later found out that my Aunt also got him Silverstreak, so I just ending up taking the spare one. Mid transformation the windshield snaps clean off. I also find out that my brother broke his copy too. . .in the exact same spot.
Sorry to hear that. That sucks. Yeah he's just not well made, damn thing is prone to self destruction.

There were still Silverstreaks at my main Target yesterday. Also saw Buzzsaw & his 2 case mates at my main WalMart yesterday as well.

The Buzz Saw is truly the only one I want I honestly think it’s the only one worth it if you don’t have a SG collection
Was recently at Target, and I passed on the Silverstreak since I wasn't sure if it would break on me or not. There were like 40 of them there, and I actually walked in on a lady putting more up, so I wasn't worried about not getting one, and grabbed an 86 Sweep instead.
Glad I avoided it, my only other options were 86 Blurr, Legacy Arcee, Coronation Starscream, and while there were the Legacy Leaders there, I didn't have enough for them at the time. I think I got the best of the lot

Love the shattered glass Starscream, I got it when it came out and it isn’t too yellowed. Maybe a little near his elbow joints but he still just looks so good

I feel so bad about your silverstreak😭 he's one of the best figures in my collection, got me some god tier qc, it seems that silverstreak is VERY hit or miss and I'm so fuckin glad i got a massive hit, anyway great video as always!
I'm glad that yours is good, from what I hear it's more miss than hit, but there are a few out there like you who got lucky.

Where's the white on Tigatron?
Silverbluestreak seems to have a strange QC roulette going on. I have all versions of the ER Datsun boys except Barricade, and my Silverstreak is as good or better than any of them. No joint or transformation problems, and it's the only version of the mold I have where I DON'T need to strain the toy to get the shoulders to tab in place. I do see the paint work being rough in spots though. On mine the face paint is thick enough to soften his features, and I'm not a fan of the blue-over-white-plastic on the shoulders, which make it look like light is spilling out from them.
He does seem like he might be the most inconsistently handled. Maybe they ran him at multiple factories, and one of them was really bad.
Dang the shatter glass blur looks like a badass

I also have nostalgia for buzzsaw, but not for the beast wars figure funnily enough. I had Cybertron buzzsaw growing up, which was a repaint of armada Cyclonus but colored to look like beast wars buzzsaw, and I loved messing with that figure a lot. Getting legacy buzzsaw made me realize how much I missed that figure tbh.
Man I didn't even know that happened, that's a Weird Repaint right there.
@@PerspectiveEnd that’s not even the only Cybertron toy remolded from armada repainted into an obscure beast wars character. Armada hoist was remolded and repainted in Cybertron to become longrack, a maximal from beast wars neo that turned into a giraffe, I had that one as well and loved the hell out of it. I wouldn’t be surprised if longrack and buzzsaw inspired the botcon set dawn of futures past, which had the beast wars cast in pre earth cybertronian modes, the molds of which were derived from the Unicron trilogy, mostly Cybertron.
I got the Starscream, I love it, the yellowing happens due to a chemical reaction when certain type of plastic (bad one) gets in touch with oxygen. Mine haven't yellowed yet, but I keep it in the box. I love the color white, but all of my white plastic figures (aside the painted ones) I keep them in the box to postpone the yellowing as much as I can. I only take them out to mess with them, then go back to the box. Most of my white figures haven't yellowed thanks to that.
I got all of the Legacy Beast repaints and Buzzsaw is definitely my favorite. Also the Sandstorm came without his claws. It had to have been like that straight from the factory because the box was sealed until I opened it.
I must get that Tigatron. Even though the character's original design is cool, the mutant head just speaks more to me.

Mutant Tigatron: I'ma repurpose him into an OC whose basically Shere Khan as a Predacon.
SG Blurr: I want an IDW Fasttrack from this mold.
Sharkticons: inbred dwarves they be. :P
Skywarp: puny porter. :P
Buzzsaw: meh, I'd rather have Buzzbomb (Theft Of The Golden Disk).
SG Screamer: repurpose him into Seeker Jetfire.
Someone else also came up with that Shere Khan Idea.

In your ER video you said that the ER Proul is an improved product over the Siege one. So the only good ER version of this mold is the impossible to find exclusive one? AWESOME 👍😀
Well I mean it looks better, based on my experience with the mold, it's probably built like crap, but I've never handled a ER Prowl.
For once, I’m glad I didn’t listen to your advice and got a Silverstreak. I like him, and got pretty good qc. Also added silver across the whole top and back to improve the car mode aesthetic, and painted the guns silver.
Glad to hear your's was good. Too many people told me their was bad, and when mine was too I couldn't in good conscience tell people to gamble on their figure.
Interesting video PE, wouldn’t mind seeing more if these in the future. I love the hell out of SG Starscream, but yeah mine yellows in the same spots. Lately I’ve been using a white paint marker to go over the yellowing spots to some decent success. Personally I’d give the recommendation for the SG Megatron, great colors too and it technically being a triple changer now.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea to paint it. As for the SG Megs it was sold out when I went to buy it.

I think its a very good format for repaints, because they are the same figures again, but some of them are very interesting

I love the new head on shattered glass blurr so much better than the 86 and the new deco really saves the figure for me
Yeah I don't even know what they were thinking with the original head.
I think the reason for SS Blurr being odd proportionally is they wanted to rearrange the kibble away from the legs. I see nothing wrong with the TR Blurr’s legs. A speedster should have powerful legs, and those chunks on his legs could pass as extra engines or something
I mean is it really that much lower on the kibble with the legs the way they are now?

The head is actually accurate to the comic cover of sg Blurr. The comic that comes with the figure isn’t the only depiction . There was entire sh series with blurr as a kinda main character who died early on.
I could have sworn the SG Blur didn't feature in the original SG comics?

I like the skywarp, hopefully they'll do a second release where they just give the accessories to hotrod and give skywarp his proper null rays, kinda like how the second release cyberverse deluxes from the first 4 waves removed the maccadam parts

my head canon for mutant tigertron is that after losing all his memories he just goes hunting those who he thinks are dangerous for earth's protection then will meet up with primal prime and join the wreckers

Speaking of Silverstreak, I have never seen one of those in person that still had its head. This thing released at the height of the “no plastic inserts” phase And hooligans were ripping the heads off of whatever toys they could manage.

You know what’s worse your mom finding a bee movie ironhide hide sending you the picture then a couple days later you get it and it has no head a the only reason you didn’t know he didn’t have his head is cause your mom took the picture at an angle where you wouldn’t notice his he didn’t have his head (luckily she also got a legacy arcee and skids and she gave me full support to every month or so ask my dad (he didn’t try to get the milk he just left after I was born) to get a figure I wanted on eBay so that means I’m getting a bee movie ironhide on Saturday (also that means I can get some rare earthrise figures mainly barricade and counter punch so that’s some revenge for leaving me when I just got born)

I’m really excited to get Buzzsaw. I plan on collecting as many versions of that mold as possible, because I quite like it. I’m most excited for the Skywarp colored one though, that’s going to be sick

So I have all these repaints already, thankfully I have had no qc issues with any of my Datsun molds and I have all them, I ended up with two mutant Tigatrons and I repainted one to be a Panthor. I like niche character repaints as they really help flesh out the cybertronian race.
Like from the Thundercats? What about that head made you do that?
@@PerspectiveEnd no from MOTU a large purple cat with bright yellow eyes. I only did it because I had to get a replacement and so customized my first one. The head being the mutant mask allowed for allot of creative freedom in deco. I did a "four horsemen of Unicron" and gave blackarachnia, airazor, and mutant tigatron new paint jobs and stuck them with nemesis primal. I like how they turned out.

Legacy Skywarp is fine as a figure. The Tigatron Repaint is cool, I was just expecting more.

I’ve had cancer, and I’d take Silverstreak any day. Between him and Barricade, I sorta prefer Silverstreak only because I didn’t have to heat up the doors so the arms would peg in
I'm not crazy, I don't think a bad toy is actually WORSE than cancer.
Buzzsaw looks amazing. Waspinator but better. I don't really like his face. But the light piping is amazing.

I love silverstreak mainly just because hes such a good mold, but the issues (besides the paint) you listed are exactly the same as mine. Which sucks so damn bad because aside from the legs it could've been amazing.
Also, have you seen the final version of magic sqaure optimus 2.0? I'm a recent subscriber and I went binging through all your videos, noticing you mentioned the figure at its baby stages
Glad you like your's anyways, but for me, I kind of want to never look at this again.
I've seen it yes, I've been considering getting it, but it's pretty expensive, and I want to try and spend less money right now.
What sucks about my Buzzsaw is that it broke on the bughead. The clear plastic was super fragile on my figure. Which sucks 😭I was so excited for this figure
Somehow my Starscream hasn't yellowed, the only thing that seems slightly discolored is the spring-loaded gap-fillers on his calves. Sucks that he does yellow for other people though.
Like I said I don't think it's light, I think it's some kind of material that is getting on them or something, because there's no reason it should yellow on the back when that's in complete darkness and the front is what yellows when that gets at least a bit of light.
The shattered glass line is probably the most recent line I wanna collect fully. The colours look nice on the figures and the extra stuff some come with are also nice like a Magnus and megatron extra bits. One issue is the lack of decepticons hopefully we see a soundwave soon but more would be appreciated
I want to collect everything from it except for Bumlbebee.
@@PerspectiveEnd I like the characters in the comics and his colours but the ER cliffjumper mould is just so blah. I did get it during the 45% off power sale which was nice but kinda upsetting he couldn’t be a racecar/cybertron car like the original figure
The only sg figures I want is sky/jetfire and Magnus mainly cause the just look really cool (plus unless if I get kingdom Magnus before sg Magnus id be get the first non cybertron prime version of the mold)
I got Silverstreak, and he's really odd with QC. His paint is all nice, and his joints are tighter than my bluestreak, but he has issues that one didn't have and vice versa. The gun is too tight on silverstreak, while the cannons are too loose on bluestreak. Bluestreak doesn't want to connect all the way at the legs and roof, and silverstreak doesn't want to plug in all the way at the the arms and doors.
Yeah, QC is a Crapshoot with these guys.
Silver streak was shelf warming were I am so I eventually picked him up and his head would not turn, eventually I worked at it enough to be able to turn, but I personally love the look of him and am glad I got him. He's better than bw Megatron and the Cheetor mold in my opinion.

Of the Walmart beasts the only one I skipped was nightprowler, buzzsaw and sandstorm I quite liked, but nightprowler desperately needed some hits of navy blue and gold
I think the only one that was interesting was Buzzsaw, I mean sandstorm is just so boring looking.
I own that Buzzsaw and I agree with everything you've said about it, but kine has a few QC problems that involve the torso splitting from the legs (probably a flashing problem) and the yellow jacket head is so tight. But other than that, he is great, but I still prefer the Sandstorm as he surprised the shit out of me.
Also, now that you've reviewed Skywarp, is What's the best: Legacy Wave 1 coming soon???
I don't understand how the Sandstorm surprised so many people, because he still looks the way he does, and he's just the Scorponok in more boring colors?
I mean even if it feels better, that was only like 1/3rds his problems.

Gotta admit, some of these repaints/re-tools are pretty snazzy. Especially Blurr, Buzzsaw and Tigertron.
Yeah those are the three I think look the coolest.
-Golden Disk Collection Mutant Tigatron looks cool. His orange tiger colors looks well applied. I like how the mutant head pops more than on Shadow Panther. On him, it looks like a tribal mask. But on Tigatron here, it looks like what it's called, mutated head.
-Shattered Glass Blurr and Starscream looks cool. Like the blue/dark blue, black and silver body color on him. The orange on his chest plate and bits on his helmet really adds a nice touch to it. Head sculpt looks better than the SS86 Blurr hands down. And I swear, with the electric lighting streaks, I get Zoom vibes from The Flash show. Starscream on the other hand is great. Like how the Jetfire color scheme is applied to the tetrajet mold. The sword looks cool. I do wish the figure and many of his copies didn't have this yellowing effect. I haven't seen it on my copy, and hope it stays that way.
-Buzzworthy Bumblebee Silverstreak is alright. The colors are well applied. But I wish it was a complete recolor of the Earthrise Bluestreak, and not the Smokescreen body with Bluestreaks head. I don't have a problem with the QC on my copy, because I don't have my Transformers out to play. But I do wish Hasbro did a better job for the other copies. Looking forward to many more Diaclone theme characters to get their time in the spotlight.
-I heard about these knockoff SS86 Gnaws. Haven't read much into it, as I already have an army of Sharkticons.
-Core Class Skywarp is neat. I'm with everyone on wishing he came with null rays. It's the signature weapon of the Decepticon Seekers. And here he is with a tuning fork. That combines to make a bigger hilt for the core class Hot Rod sword. Ridiculous. But his paint job is well applied.
-Legacy Buzzsaw is cool. Like how you shown off his light pipping, especially when you had him in the dark with the light behind him. The figure itself looks awesome. I do wish his box and the other Walmart exclusive figures had the QR code that on the other Legacy box packaging. To read up his static like for the other Legacy figures. I got him, Autobot Nightprowler, and Predacon Sandstorm.

9:04 this is the first time hearing that siegescreamer has a problem with yellowing. Checked mine and hes still perfect guess im lucky lol
Man that's all I hear about this guy, it was a HUGE controversy for a while because it's so bad and so fast people were like "How did you miss this?"
Have to jump in to say this but newer copies of SG Screamer don't have the yellowing issue so I thought I'd let that been know. Also based on my own research due to knowing 4 people who have it since it's a massive shelfwarmer in my area. Silverstreak has a lot of variance that it shouldn't. My own copy and two of said people's have perfectly fine QC but but the other two have SS86 Sludge looseness. Thigh hopefully that example is only a me problem.
My copy is only a couple months old though?

Weirdly my silverstreak didn't have those problems, maybe it's a qc thing or maybe I was just lucky. Either way he looks great with the diaclone ironhide
I think the only repaint from the WFC trilogy that I have is the Soundblaster figure. Sure it still has that same barge alt mode, but the colors do make it look cooler to a degree. And for my copy, it had better joints than my Siege Soundwave, save for a slightly loose head.
With that said though, I do wish I had known there was going to be a Soundblaster with the Mercenary faction logo. The only real difference I can see is the faction logo and how very few fractures there are on the chest. I mainly would have wanted it just for how it helps the figure stand out more from the other Siege figures.
But since I already got the first Soundblaster, I didn’t end up seeing a need to get the Mercenary version.

while I kinda prefer the look of ER Datsun, I still think the Siege works better as a toy to play with.
SG Blurr is a cool repaint on otherwise a pretty mediocre mold.
(but the Velocitron Blurr version looks pretty tempting ngl, i might change my opinion on that version)

I really love the Mutant Tigatron over regular Tigatron… I prefer this alt mode over the snow tiger. I only bought Mutant Tigatron.

5:53 Ive had my earthrise Smokescreen for a while and it didnt even get a paint chip. Or loose joints. So I guess I had good luck

I know this probably isn't the case, but I feel like SS Blurr was always ment to be SG Blurr. The weird limbs and strange proportions add to the creep factor of this guy. Also, am I the only one confused why Blurr was like the second figure released in that line? Not an Optimus re-release or a Bumblebee, but Blurr?
He's really cool looking, and it's on a solid base figure.
I don't know about that Blurr Theory. The OG SG Blur was based on the Armada Mold. They are kind of incompatible. This is just forced into the shoes of the 86 one because it's the one they currently ahve in production.

I got a silverstreak and the only real qc issue is that the doors dont tab in on vehicle mode, which is also the case on dead prowl. However i did get silverstreak for 17 bucks, but that was also the high end at the time.

I was so upset with the wreck n Rule set that the hammer of the wreckers was cardboard when the theme was combining weapons for Legacy. Would have thought the hammer would have been plastic pieces that can be used separate or combined together for the hammer. They already screwed up the whole gimmick
