I’m so grateful that Filter is still active and putting out solid music. This song is the most reminiscent of their 90s material and makes me more excited for their upcoming album. I’m really hoping for some hard hitting TOR or Amalgamut style music \m/

Cool song, but RP will disappoint by making everything as politically partisan as possible and alienating half his eternally anemic fan base. He sacrifices what Filter could be for his far-left ideological temper tantrums. Nothing like watching a brilliant artist just squander what they have. I’ll always be cautiously hopeful.
@@austinhunt4260he made some recent comments admitting he went too far with that in the last couple records. We’ll see what happens I guess. I was just as left as him during the Iraq War through to about 2010 but the left has gone off the deep end in the last decade, and he kind of just stayed in his liberal cali bubble thinking the biggest problem we’re facing is some lurking racist hillbillies.
Meanwhile freedom of speech was almost totally obliterated by the progressive left who used to defend it, until they got securely in power, both elected and in corporate media dominating social media, TH-cam, etc. Plus, the war overseas right now in Eastern Europe is basically a giant money laundering scheme for a select few and he’s probably too blind to see it. I stand with… not war profiteers or actors turned dictators, which is what Zelenskyy is, arresting his political opponents, shutting down news that opposes him and canceling elections. I wonder if Richard even knows any of that.
At least Bill Maher is waking up to some of it. Maybe Richard will too in time. Afterall I was once a proud progressive and without changing my main views I’m now center right in less than 15 years.
TLDR: he said he realized he went overboard with the partisan stuff in recent years and is trying to be more uniting with this record. Either he sees out of his bubble a bit or doesn’t want to be as polarizing for the fans as well as his bottom line.

I wouldn't say that. They don't deserve to be forever underrated they could blow up as they deserve what goes around comes around they will reap the rewards they have earned whether it be sooner or later!
What are you all talking about? Filter has always been a top tier band. Their last record "Crazy Eyes" is the only record that didn't make any headway but that's the only time that I recall. This new album "The Algorithm" sounds really Dope!

Yep, you are absolutely right. Amongst other things, Richard’s incredible tenor voice is right up there with Scott Weiland, and Maynard James Keenan. To me they are all equals.

I am so grateful for Filter's long awaited return to the road after several years since "Crazy Eyes" was released. Richard is my #1 favorite musician on the planet (and knows it), and on September 20th (about a month after the new album is released), I will get to hang out with him and Jonny and the boys for a few minutes before their show (with Zombie + Cooper + Ministry) at the meet n greet in Auburn, WA (White River Ampitheatre).
My 60th birthday is coming on November 5th (EXACTLY five years to the day before his brother Robert who will be turning 65), and the album / concert are early gifts (along with concert schwag).

I haven't smiled and enjoyed a track this much in so long. Title of Record was such a huge part of my life in 1999. This song made me so nostalgic and appreciative of this great band that 24 years later they are still writing amazing tracks like this. This may be Filters best song in their.catalog and its been almost 30 years since hey man nice shot came out. This really made my day I'm so glad spotify suggested it.

Richard's testimony about sobriety is inspiring and brave. Filter was with me as I battled 13 years ago. Coming up on 13 totally, happily and easily sober. So so glad Filter is still kicking it hard.
