12:20 I love that you said "cam on... what?" My mom and my dad/anyone's parents would always say that growing up to teach the respect of addressing who you are thanking. This is amazing!
Love that you teach the kids to say ‘ cảm ơn’ not only saying thank you but also who to address it to. While English language is just thank you not addressing to that specific person. ❤❤
👍 Thanks for taking us along with your family on an average day! It's interesting to see other places besides the usual street food. I definitely like the veg eatery especially their seating area even if their food is just ok. A lot of variety, maybe they switch it up and have new stuffs everyday? The best food award, however, has to go to that coconut dessert! Looks amazing and absolutely mouth-watering! 🍨😋
Hi Chad. Newly subscribed and really enjoying your content. Keep publishing! I especially enjoy when you and the family are out in the country at your wife's family house and forraging in the back for things to use in recipes and you cooking outside. Your western spins on eastern dishes is interesting and refreshing. Keep it up!
Okay you have definitely converted to 100% Vietnamese now. As soon as I heard you push your kids to answer “cám ơn what” I knew 😂 All Viet parents are the same I swear hahaha
Lol, that’s probably the same for us here in Australia. For my family of 4, it ended up costing us $105 AUS for dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant and then we went for ice cream after and it cost us $8.50 per person for two scoops of ice cream on a cone. So $150 almost for a day out and that didn’t even include breakfast which we had at home and snacks throughout the day for the kids. It must cost about $20 US for a day out in Vietnam!
The moment you replace all the ketchup and chilly sauce and similar thingies with pepper-salt with lime, I will finally consider you as one of us hahaha
hi, chad and family...got a question for you. i imagine your wife speaking viet and you english to the kids. how are your kids dealing with that? do they get confuse? overloaded? do they favor one over the other? do they do well with both? thanks.
My wife recently is speaking around 80% Viet. My daughter is completely comfortable with both languages. My boys definitely favor English and understand more Viet then they speak.
Chad là người cha tốt ! Chad dẫn con đi ăn tôi nhớ lại tuổi thơ cha cũng dẫn tôi đi ăn và uống cafe tôi không bao giờ quên được, dù cha tôi đã mất từ lâu rồi !
Maybe not the best vegan you have in Vietnam, but is the best that I see and I will never can have in the UK, in the UK vegan foods in the packet in supermarket is expensive and my dog don't like them .😅
2:35 lol the kid is going to be glad when he grows up and his spicy tolerance exceeds all his classmates by leaps and bounds from all the exposure he has as a child. that's how my tolerance got so high

Because he's kind of negative and not particularly detailed in his description about when it is good or bad anyways.
