Tbh they only apply to pale people. And one size fit all is for skinny to slightly chubby people. Even then u might feel tight as a chubby person.

for some reason the "suits all skintones" stick made you look like you had a cold lol or were feeling sickly .. I hate these foundation/concealer products that claim to work 4 all skin tones.. no way in hell is 1 product (unless its clear) gonna match the palest and darkest at the same time it logically doesnt make sense they are such a scam product

Exactly! I'm super pale (like, absolutely the lightest on the foundation scale and cool-toned to boot) and like Robert, I neverrrr believe those claims. 100% guaranteed it'll come out orange or yellow on me, hahahaha.

I'm between very pale & pale but like neutral leaning cool so it's very hard to get my color right and even when I finally have been able to (like 1 or 2 times) then comes the fact I have dry skin fml and it's annoying cause I cant use creams for dry skin it just sits on top pulling I have to use moisturizers for normal to oily skin just so it soaks in smfh but yes these claims r absolute bullshit!! no way will 1 product match me and lupita nyong'o

Those "universal" adaptive foundation products are always just a white tinted moisturizer. I bought a tinted moisturizer that was the same concept, and that's exactly what it is. It does create a blurring effect, minimizes the appearance of discoloration, and evens out the tone of my face, but I'm ghostly pale as it is. Anyone darker than me is going to have a white cast and/or look sickly! There's just no such thing as a universal foundation that can match everyone.

Robert, one of the reasons why I started following you all those years ago, is that you have always been 100% REAL and TRUE to the art of makeup.
I grew up a tomboy and didn't really have an interest in makeup until I hit my 20's. I didn't have TH-cam or Instagram, I was completely self taught and on my own. So when social media did become a thing and all these influencers came about, I felt like I had been doing makeup all wrong.
Then I stumbled across your page and you not only taught me some things, but you gave me my confidence back! Your techniques were my techniques and it was so refreshing to find someone that could actually teach me correct makeup application.
Now here I am, closer to 40 and my makeup has never looked better! So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!🖤💜

I’d love to see you review any green “color correcting” concealer! I think the idea is the green will cancel out the redness, but I haven’t seen this work in practice.
That sponge looks like it needs to be in my possession! And the brow primer might be nice for me. I dont add any color to my brows and just usually use soap or wax but this would be great for ease and travel

Hi Robert! I used to work for Benefit Cosmetics and I remember when the Browvo conditioning primer came out I was so confused as to what its purpose was 🤣 But after getting to use the product everyday (on myself and customers) I fell in love! As you said, it is sort of like a serum primer for your brows, which is full of Keratin & Soy Proteins, it doesn’t necessarily make your brows ‘grow’ but I found it definitely helped promote a fuller & healthier looking brow👏🏻
It was such a go to product of mine for customers who had naturally good shaped brows & who didn’t like filling them in but liked to tidy them up every so slightly by using the brush tip 🥰 and as silly as it may sound I actually use it as part of my night time routine!

You can absolutely judge the benefit brushes that come in the square boxes.
That sponge made me want to take the scissors to a sponge and see if I could create the “patented S shape”.
That makeup sponge is tempting me to wear a full face of foundation lol. I typically only put foundation in the areas of my face that I get red in and leave the rest as just my skin.
Edit: That hoodie does look comfy. I think I need it lol.

Same. I thought it looked dumb. But it’s my favorite sponge! Far better than the beauty blender.
I’m so sad that Tati doesn’t sell it anymore. But I saw dupes on Amazon and am hoping they work as well as the original.

I love how you were ready to bash every product but instead you were pleasantly impressed. Only product that was total shit was that foundation that claimed to be for every skin tone. I got that Browvo thing in a kit from Benefit and I was shocked at how much I liked it. Id buy it again on its own if it wasn’t so expensive for what it is.
I luv how humble you are, both in your reviews and admitting to making mistakes (*I Laminated my own brows *see how red they are* I shouldn’t of done that) ☺️❤️

Laura made me change my mind in a sec with that weird sponge but also with the strangely shaped glow powder brush... kind of expensive and oddly shaped, didn't think it would preform different then other sponges or brushes, didn't want to like them... but yet here we are using them on a daily basis. 😑
The Gosh Chameleon Primer. First off, I was stupid enough to not notice the “chameleon”-part… But OMG, it suits my skin tone perfectly. I gives a perfect tint and with concealer on my problem areas I’ve stopped using regular foundation. My makeup is so long lasting now and my skin looks so much better. I’m still in awe tbh😮

The innisfree microcara! The brush is TINY, like an interdental toothbrush but it’s the best for lower lashes

I actually love those Benefit brushes funny enough! The mini blush ones are so nice for doing a quick nose contour and the larger ones for a soft cheek contour
The « one fit for all » foundation remind me of ten years ago when L’Oreal did a BB cream like this and since I’m the fairest person you’ve ever seen, I was like « this is incredible! At last, a foundation that will suit me! » I spared some money to buy it and the first time I put it I was orange 🍊🥲 since then I never believed this claim either 😂

The mid-week pick me up we all desperately needed
Do NOT use that brow primer under their pencils!! (Not sure about other brands, I prefer benefit brow pencils) you'd think it should work with their pencils but It's HORRID!! It works ok with powder but it degraded & smeared the precisely my brow pencil and the good proof pencil
How does it perform under the UD Brow Blade?
@@melanieknisely5045 idk. I only ever used it under the benefit pencils and the ABH pencil. I've never used the UD brows blade at all so I have no idea. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working Under the pencils and why it was ruining it, and then somewhere I saw how it's supposed to be used before powder. So I tried it & I'm not sure if it helped or not but it didn't hurt 🤷🏽♀️ I use powder sometimes on my brows, but never just powder. I usually just use 3 different pencils. I have barely any brows so I put a ton of time and effort in to give myself "natural" brows lol.

I actually love that brow primer. It has helped my brows grow and I always like to start off my routine with a clear gel because I feel like the extra crunch makes filling them in easier. This stiff takes the place of a gel and has added benefits.

I tired recently the volumizing collagen lip balm by essence since the whole lip plumping glosses trend came by. I was unable (until now) to get their _what the fake_ lip plumper gloss so this was my only alternative to a cheap colorless plumper. I was shocked at first. It felt minty cool (like taking a sip of water after brushing your teeth or chewing on a mint gum) and it lasted a long time (the sensation). But the more I got used to it the more I loved it! It doesn't really plump but it almost exfoliates the lips in a way that dry chapped lips feel a ton better afterwards. I tried using it on vacation in Trento (northern Italy) where it's usually 8-3 degrees outside and it did pass the test very well. I love it more than any other chapstick I have. Because the results are almost immediate.

In terms of undereye primers, you definitely should try the smashbox undereye primer or for a more affordable option the Ulta brand undereye primer. They help nourish/hydrate while making a barrier to prevent concealer from creasing.

So the benefit eyebrow primer I used when I was growing my eyebrows back in (after shaving them for years)…. I swore by it! My eyebrows grew back very quickly and thicker. But the gal at benefit had told me it was more like a serum. I used it during my night time skin routine.
