I was elated to have encountered Suede when Bloodsports came out, late to the party but way better than never. It's too bad I never knew about them earlier, because I could really see them having a huge influence on a younger version of me. Could have used some of that attitude in those old daze.

His voice might not be quite what it was day in day out in live scenarios but he's still a great singer. And as a front man he just jumps straight to 110% and stays there for the entire show. Only singer I've seen who has more energy off the drugs.
Love Suede, they played such a big part of my twenties. Saw them live a few times - even caught his water bottle in Tokyo! but I find that Brett oversings sometimes when he's live. He tends to shout a bit. I wish he'd stand back and go with the music rather than try to shout over it. He tends to rock even the delicate songs. However he seems to be doing perfectly fine without my advice.
markyliciously 20 years of singing and cigarettes means the voice is not what it was! He's still a fantastic frontman but his voice has mellowed with time!
