I think it was unfair of you to use the picture of The Honest Watch Dealer when referring to grey market dealers who promote possible discontinuation of certain model as to build the hype. The reason I say this is because The Honest Watch Dealer doesn’t do this and specifically tells people to not buy into the discontinuation hype. I know what you mean about reading the room, but I would still never say a nickname! I know for a fact Rolex do not like it (but they love it re. Tudor). When I picked up my Explorer 40 recently, the new young guy said "Submariner No Date", but I still kept my decorum lol. He was fantastic, super cool, addictively enthusiastic, and we had a great chat that nearly got me a parking ticket! but other older staff were in earshot and its just not a good idea to get drawn in IMO. Have a plan and stick to it ; ) When other customers come into an AD and talk bad it sounds so wrong, and I have heard enough bad behaviour that staff talk about afterward to know you should never do it. Being cool is sometimes putting respect before being cool if you know what I mean. Once you start letting your guard down its a slippery slope.
From watching your videos I gave zenith a chance love the brand love the quality defy skyline is amazing. Have you seen the new chronograph that has the moon phase? What do you think? It’s the next watch in the radar

Here’s a question you probably can answer (if you fly to Switzerland). Is it true that Rolex is building a new factory to make 2,000,000 watches a year? Higher volume and watches priced at $50,000 doesn’t align. Patek makes ~60,000 watches a year, right? Maybe it isn’t just the hands on work that limits this volume, maybe consumer wallets are a factor too?
Animaniacs rule! Similar to the classic Warner Bros. Cartoons t hey were much deeper than what often appeared on the surface and could appeal to ‘kids’ of all ages! I nominate Tony and his kitties as an honorary Animaniacs! ✌️
If u truly love chronograph, and need to collect one , it’s not Daytona, it’s el primero . I have both, one to show the world at times I have stupid money and the other to show the world I know I love watch. Daytona is too basic , the hype works on those who haven’t got it only. Those who own it find it boring after a while
Many TH-cam grey market channels that hype watches at inflated prices have seen a large drop in viewership of their channels. I think collectors realize that these channels' excessive practices did put the fear of "buy now before the price goes up" [FOMO] into their viewers. Now that collectors understand we were being treated as "lollipop suckers", we have moved on to other channels like Talking Timepieces with Tony for our watch knowledge.
Pootube flippers desperately trying to gin up hype for models that Rolex wants Tudor to make. I don’t think Rolex is behind the flipping. Flippers have their own motivation (making $$). They’re the ones that said the Pepsi was going away.
I'm Not a "collector"......I'm Still an enthusiast after all these years. Rolex Is Mass Produced and NO they are Not the most accurate...... Love my Daytona and Cellini, love my Zenith Chrono.... Glashutte Nomos and Muhle, Junghans, Hamilton ( more )..........BUT If my Life depended on Accuracy.....My GS Snowflake doesn't have a second in Accuracy.

That would be cool. Unfortunately I can’t answer that. No clue why some companies do or don’t do things.
My AD said they cannot refer to new Rolex by nicknames but they can on CPO models

My Grand Seiko is accurate to 10 seconds a month. My Rolexes aren’t close to that, but they are very well made.
That’s understandable if you have the Spring Drive movement. It’s half quartz.
If accuracy is your barometer. A $10 timex is more accurate than your GS.
