Tony, my honest opinion, you do great by yourself…! You don’t need anyone else messing up your down to earth and straight up, honest show…! I love your show just as it is and you’re the star brother ❤️💯👍
Happy Friday Tony! I picked up my Omega White Dial Speedy on Tuesday from Omega Boutique. Very nice service offered me a very nice selection of drinks went with a glass of McAllan Scotch while I was getting bracelet sized. The Speedy aesthetically with white lacquer dial definitely is beautiful watch in person. Regarding Stallon that Patek 6300 GR Grandmaster Chime is $3 million. How many people can afford to buy new from Patek AD? So I say if you’re not wearing and enjoying it by all means sell it.🤔Tony you are due for another live stream. The last one was pretty good.👍
Happy weekend! OMG your frustration with the cats seriously only makes the video better😂 You are so damn entertaining unfiltered and off the cuff, man!
Thanks for answering my question Tony. I get it, vintage watches can be risky. Lots of question marks, and then you could get one and have to service it right away. I’m mainly interested in old Omega watches. and nothing high end. Have a great weekend. 👍🏻😎
Happy Friday Tony! Great video as always. Might be nice to bring back the magic 8 ball randomly. Cool shirt BTW I had the same one years ago; my buddy worked for the Coroner and gave it to me. I remember people would give me weird looks when I wore it. Curious if you experience the same?
Hi Tony, just found your channel, love the discussions. I live in Orange county and curious if there's an independent watchmaker you'd recommend for servicing in Socal?
Hi Tony, like the content. Looking at the intro of your video and the pictures of when you were younger, were you in a Metal band and if so, what was its name?
Awesome video Tony thanks! What is it with the Zenith Pilot that makes you wear it everyday and like it so much? And how is the finish on the watch compared to Rolex?
Tony, do you use watch rolls? If you do which do you use? I have small wrists and the cushions are always too large so I can’t close the watch around the cushion. Any suggestions? Thanks
Hey Tony. Love your content. I was thinking about the Cartier Santos de Cartier. I hear that they scratch very easily and i hate to scratch my watches. I think I remember you saying that you had one in the past. Was that your experience that they scratch super easily?
My favorite t-shirt!! It seems like most people ask you about *rock* guitarists. I'm curious as to 1. What guitarist, or piece of music influenced your switch to flamenco fusion? 2. What watch do you think Paco de Lucia would choose to wear in his off-time?
Congratulations on the subs Tony you deserve it. I have a crystal ball Tony I know that next year Rolex will make a watch 😂. Thanks for the Friday content.
Great video. Thanks for answering my question. I think along the same line as you regarding watch insurance. I have multiple Omegas, Doxa’s and other brands. The only watches I insure are my Rolexes because of the value and difficulty in replacing. On another topic. You mentioned jazz guitarists. Do you like jazz? My wife and I love jazz. We like Lee Ritenour and Larry Carlton. Our favorite jazz guitarist is Peter White. Who’s you favorite jazz guitarist?
Hey Al, yes. I love Jazz. I went to Dick Grove school of Music in the 80’s which was a Jazz school. I have a degree in jazz harmony and theory. I worked for Dick afterwards transcribing music books etc. Lee Ritenour and Larry Carlton are great. Peter White I consider more Easy listening than Jazz, but he definitely has Jazz elements in his playing. I also love Scott Henderson and Al Di Meola. Lots of versatility etc. Glad you liked the video. 😊😊🤙🤙
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Wow! Impressive. I didn’t know anything about jazz until I married my wife. Now jazz is pretty much my go to genre of music. My wife said her favorite Lee Rintenour album is Harlequin and of course the collaboration of Rintenour and Carlton as Four Play. Awesome music.
Hey Tony, do you know why watch hands are universally arranged in a specific order (Dial) > Hour Hand > Minute Hand > Second Hand? Sometimes, while hacking the watch, I find that there's too much parallax with the second hand so high up from the dial that a tilt of your head will display +/- 1 second. How about Dial > Second Hand > Minute Hand > Hour Hand? Is aesthetics the only reason for not going with this arrangement?
Hey Tony, appreciate all you’re doing for your viewers by answering our questions. I wanted to ask what would you recommend I do about getting a few watches insured after the fact I’ve had two previous claims. One claim didn’t have to pay out since the watch manufacturer fixed it for free and the second claim was because a watch was stolen out of my gym locker. Currently BriteCo is going to drop me( understandably I guess) Dinky denied me. Are there any insurance companies you recommend? Could I just put the watches I want to ensure in my wife’s name? Thanks again man👊
Hey Tony- what are your thoughts on the 60th anniversary 1957 Omega Railmaster? The smaller case size at 38mm really makes this piece have a vintage feel and looks amazing on a bracelet or strap. I’m between this and a speedy.
Hi Tony I’m looking forward to my question I asked last week About the longines master collection. I just bought the longines retrograde moonphase .. What are your thoughts about this watch and longines as a brand ? Do,you have a moonphase ? Love your show ❤
Tony, it would be sick if you sent your bracelet to a restorer and got it repinned. Im sure you have thought the option. It would be interesting to hear your insite next Friday! Take care, enjoed as always!
I mentioned in this vid that I can get a new one for this watch from Rolex. My AD ordered me one. But I didn’t go into detail why it’s not a good idea to re-pin your bracelet. I’ll do a video on it.
Hi Tony - you are my favorite watch expert. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Question: what are the brands you feel confident will be around in 30-50-100 years to provide service for their watches? - reason I ask is because I care about buying watches that I can transfer to the next generations so they keep them as a memory, I like the watches I purchase to be “perpetual and serviceable”. Thank you!
Thank you Tony - actually you responded to my question indirectly in your following QA video when you mentioned the difference between micro brands vs current luxury brands. You stated very well that large luxury brands invest massively over decades in R&D and marketing. Both are critical for longevity and hence the top watch brands that invest the most in R&D will have the highest probability to endure the test of time towards becoming perpetual. We can make an educated guess which brands have the highest chance to be around in 30, 50 years and beyond. Thank you man for sharing your knowledge and opinions.
Regarding Stallone, I think regardless of how much he made when he sold the watch, it’s free advertising for Patek, and it’s not like he ‘flipped’ it straight after, so I doubt Patek would care one jot.
Tony, my honest opinion, you do great by yourself…! You don’t need anyone else messing up your down to earth and straight up, honest show…! I love your show just as it is and you’re the star brother ❤️💯👍

Cool channel. You have a really nice collection btw. Where is the speedy? No love for omega ? lol
I had an SMP300. Cool watch. I’m not a huge speedy fan.
Another great video Tony! I think you were looking for neo-vintage 😊

I do love the Yacht Master 42 in White Gold. They seem to be readily available as well from my 2 ADs, but its like £26k

Most likely due to the pinion being manufactured that way.
