Over 100 Chinese travellers arrived in the Philippines on January 24, 2023, aboard the first direct flight from mainland China since Beijing reopened borders and scrapped most of its Covid-19 curbs. The first batch of Chinese tourists received a warm welcome in Manila from officials of the Philippine tourism department, which hopes to attract 4.8 million foreign tourists in 2023.

I think that was quite a nice and warm welcome for those tourists. Putting politics aside, people across cultures can really connect thru tourism. Travel enriches a person's perspective on life. As Mark Twain once said, "Travel is deadly to prejudice, bigotry and narrow mindedness."

Now it is more expensive to go to popular tourist destinations within China than going abroad, for example Sanya. Therefore there will be more and more Chinese tourists in south east asia countries. There are not much to see in Japan and Korea because they are generally similar to China, not worth to visit them twice for most Chinese tourists.

As far as I know, many Mainland Chinese were transferred to go there because of their jobs and many tried to make money by importing "K-pop idols advising products" to resell to those dumb fan girls in mainland China. It's not like the Mainland Chinese love to go to S.Korea.
For tourism and for those who are not into K-pop/K-drama. S. Korea is just a very boring country with boring culture and food, nothing much to see and experience. South East Asia and Japan are more worth visiting.

Chinese tourists have received warm welcome from countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Egypt and now the Philippines. In contrast Chinese tourists have received discrimination and humiliation welcome by South Korea. From here we can see the weak quality in South Korea when it comes to foreign policy etc.

Manila a Tourism hotspot for Chinese Tourism though Known to international Tourism industry .
The Philippine people are Friendly to Tourist reason is simple they know this is inflation worldwide and Tourism industry need to Survive during this period need a special facelift . Therefore it is a special attitude and gestures of Welcome Professionalism procedure process as a Cultural trend process of exchange taking fly in ASEAN region to Boost Tourism hotspot in Asia now . Chinese people have a culture to know others you need to pay a visit around the World for Exploration .
On the other side, US allies Japan and South Korea are either pulling or throwing out the welcoming mat when it comes to the chinese.
If they really believe that Chinese tourists are a risk, then they should close borders to ALL COUNTRIES. The virus can transit through a third country like the Philippines. If they don't do so, then we can only conclude that their action is only politically motivated.
That'll change soon. In a few months the infection levels in China will get very low and the restrictions will be lifted. A year from everybody will have forgotten about it.

There are only two things worthwhile to see in the Philippines, the beaches, and the young people (youngest in east asia), so the clubbing, bar dancing, and dating scene is much livelier than in other destinations
