🤣every pedal and amp, I ever wanted as a kid.....are now being placed into tiny futuristic looking boxes!....it's sci-fi, becoming reality. Killer opening song man!
I like what Hotone has going on with their devices.
This is such a great lil' pedal ! Really diggin' Hotone's stuff .
Thank you for an excellent demo and review. As for the pedal itself, I got mine last week and am still at the stage of exploration of its possibilities. As usual, in the case of multi-effects, I prefer to rely on my own presets, especially that building them is real fun. It also works for me very nicely as an interface for recording my music.
Thanks again :)
Came for the intro jam stayed for a breakdown of the intro jam 🍻
The evolution of the Rockman
Was thinking the same thing! 👍 I used to sit in my room with phones on with my Rockman X100 for hours and hours real late at night playing.
This unit surpasses what the Rockman can do by a large margin for about the same price.
Hi sweden here, i bought the stomp because of you...loving it with yours ir loaded in it 👌
AWESOME! I'm glad you like it! I do too!
I just got this and then pulled the triggger on the Stage version. I'm outta my mind😄. Mini for noodling, Stage for band.
Awesome Sir, As always
THANKS!
Waou your solo, the second part, reminds of the sound and feel of Satriani on the album The Extremist... :)
I want you to record a solo album Mike, your intro songs are so nice !
As someone who at 18 years old back in the 80's would sit there playing through a Rockman X100 for hours and hours with phones on at one o'clock in the
morning i would have killed for a unit like this! My Rockman back then cost me about what this Hotone cost's and did not do even a quarter of what the Ampero can do! new players have it so much better as far as gear is concerned!
watch this review multiple times its just nice . i am confused around this this price point which one to get either the nux mg30 or this ampero mini ? looking for a live stage purpose. i wanna go for mini but not sure about limited functionality of it.
My wife is leaving me! Pour out a 40oz!!! We living big tonight
fyi, though undocu, nted the ampero does indeed have midi over usb, it follows the same midi implementation as the larger ampero units
Just picked up one of these, (£160 insane deal!) had a jam around and really like the features and sounds.
I’m having a bit of trouble syncing the looper to the drums. I’m not new to looping and understand the need for accuracy but no matter what I do or how I set it, it drops out of sync by the second or third pass!
I can’t figure it out, any chance you could run through making the initial loop?
I have this unit. It sits on my pedalboard and Its great. There is midi through usb. You need a usb host.
OH, Thank you for that insight!
It can do midi via usb, I use my Morningstar with it no issues. Look at ampero one manual for the midi map. Using midi definitely makes it live worthy and also zero gap switching BUT you won’t get visual indicators on the screen unfortunately.
Sounds good. Does it have a Dumble patch or do you need the stomp for that?
no, but it does have some nice Fender's, a Two Rock cab, and a Zendrive. BAM! Instant Dumbel! :)
Here’s a question: since this can be an interface, if you wanted to record it, would it be best to USB this to the PC rather than taking an audio out from this and running into a DAW interface?
Running an audio line out to the regular DAW interface seems like it’d be going Analog to Digital to Analog to Digital again. If you get what I’m saying.
Do u need a di box to put straight into a pa mixer
Mike i also have the Ampero Mini and i found some kind of hidden features in the Cab section i like to share with you,in the Global settings when you turn off the Cab Sims it is a little confusing because you have to turn on for the Global Cab Sims to be off!Go to Edit mode and to where you can do Cabinet editing,if you turn your Cab Sims off or on the Mic Sims still work when you change to different Mic types!I also can hear a difference in Cabinet types with Cab Sim on or off?I do not think the Cab Sim is really on but you can hear tonal differences with these changes!Just remember the Global Cab Sim is off when i heard these changes in tone!I use this setting to get more variations of tone when going into the front on my clean amp channel or effects return of my amp.Mike let me know what you think about this?
OH interesting quirk! I'll check that out!
"A rack worth of schmoo" - pretty much sums up this pedal.
How does this pedal compare to the MP-80 version that adds one more switch and an expression pedal for $40 more?
I think they're the same, just the 80 has the switch and expression pedal.
Editor ?
It can’t do MIDI via USB?
I believe you can. Sorry... I just learned that.
It uses Ampero's MIDI mapping. It needs a USB Host such as a PC or AirSTEP (or CME dongle for BLE MIDI). I recommend connecting a real expression pedal and using MIDI for other control.
Hi Mike, what modeler would you recommend for around 500,I play at home for fun.
The Line6 HX Stomp is about $550. The Hotone Ampero II is about $350. NO difference in quality. Both are fantastic! I love the Ampero because of its price / performance. And the touch screen is great to edit on. Tons of power and sounds amazing!
@@BigHairyGuitars Thank you so much for your advice,I will go to GC to get the Hotone
@@user-jz4gy2vk4c I don't think Ampero is in GC stores (Line6 is). Direct from Hotone, or Amazon.
Lovely intro. Very Dann Huff.
I’ve heard Luke 😅
I just bought one on the strength of this review.
I hope you love it!
I swear I thought this might've been another Poly pedal review. This one is just as amazing.
Thanks DS!
